- Post-Gazette sports columnist Jason Mackey joins host Adam Bittner to recap the Steelers' picks on Day 2 of the NFL draft after they took Washington OT Troy Fautanu on Day 1. What kind of impact can second-round pick Zach Frazier make from Day 1 at the center position? Is third-rounder Roman Wilson ready to be the No. 2 opposite of George Pickens in new coordinator Arthur Smith's offense? What can fellow third-round pick Payton Wilson add to coach Mike Tomlin's linebacker corps alongside Patrick Queen, Elandon Roberts and possibly a healthy Cole Holcomb? And how much credit does GM Omar Khan deserve for waiting for these players to fall instead of trading up to get them? Our duo tackles those questions and more.

Steelers also got players with great attitude and who really want to be here and are winners
Starting to see Omar’s vision of this team. The off seasons the last 2 years have been a lot different. Andy Weydl definitely has a big part in all of this also. Can’t wait for at least the preseason to get here
From Picket to pickens. Now Wilson to Wilson
On paper it’s a fantastic draft so far. Hopefully these kids stay healthy and get coached up properly. Exciting stuff!
Shut up negativity 😒
Bittner's rolled shoulders reflect all the weight he carried this weekend 💪
How many corners does everyone expect us to pick up in one offseason? We still have Trice. We got Dontae Jackson from Carolina. We have a few others on the practice squad from last year. I like the boxes checked in this draft.
Tons of Steelers fan are complete idiots and will complain if we win the Super Bowl because we didn’t do it how they wanted.
Well said. No one’s talking about Trice
Ayy this will c my first preseason that I'm excited for though 🤞🏾💪🏾😇💪🏾🖤💛
I think the Steelers had one of the best drafts of 2024. They even got the hidden gem 💎 being Wilson ILB from NC State, he’s going to be great.
That's a great point and I agree that he's not going to do some of the same things that Deonte Johnson did. Like drop the ball so often. And also not block for somebody downfield who's trying to get into the end zone rather just stand there and watch
Diontae dropping the ball is a myth created by non-football knowers. Dude isn't even in the top 65 WRs in drops the last 3 years. Prisoners of the moment....
@@TheFactsMob Meaningless statistics aside, Diontae dropped the ball on various crucial plays throughout the season. Good riddance and welcome Roman Wilson!
@@JN-cr2qy "Meaningless"??? Somebody accused of dropping the ball and all the non-ball knowers can't do any research for themselves to realize every single WR getting 100+ targets has a high drop rate. And when this fact is given... it's considered a "meaningless stat"?? Lmaooooo has absolutely nothing to do Diontae. It's typical Yinzer misinformation and fake narratives. Maybe not running backwards or ignoring a fumble... but drops come with target volume. Go research who's actually at the top of the WR drop rate... bet you see the NFL's best in there. Far from meaningless stats but okay bud smh lmao
roman is nothing like Deontae in skill or attitude. roman is a deep threat w.. 4.3 speed and hands. so far so good....just need a CB and DL.
Love this show
If the Broncos are willing to trade Sutton for a draft pick next year, it might be a good idea to get Sutton, and put Roman Wilson in the slot. Pickens, Sutton, and Wilson, would be a great trio at WR. With Van Jefferson and either, Calvin Austin or Walkins, rounding out your receiver room. That would be solid.
I'd also consider trying to get Stephon Gilmore for CB 2, and move Donte Jackson to slot CB.
Obviously, this all depends on cost and what we can swing financially.
None of this matters unless one of the qb can play.
I just went online & purchased a 6 month $6 online subscription because of u guys! Here we go! Thanks
All of these picks love football and willing to do whatever it takes! ❤
Re ILB injuries: in track we would use different spike lengths based on the running surface. Is there something similar for football cleats (for natural grass vs. artificial turf)?
Deontae was not a volunteer. After the crap he pulled last year I was happy to see him move on.
We got more skill full an more toughness. This is a A draft
+ 6th Lineman in Darnell W.
Go bring back cam Sutton . Nothing came from his situation. He would be cheap too considering the circumstances
They may do it dulac said he met with Tomlin, and Omar, does that actually mean he's coming back NO, but it seems to be an option my issue is will the NFL step in and impose their own penalty because it's domestic? They normally do, considering they have a zero tolerance policy.
Mackey is right on Wilson's character and DJ's lack thereof. Ward had character and was a winner and we son SBs with him. I said last year, you don't win SBs with players like Johnson.
I can’t believe you guys got him he’s ass 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Want Khyree Jackson next or TJ Tampa 🤔
I’m hoping Jackson
Sadly I think Cole Holcolmb has been replaced
All,7 picks are young guys who love football, are not prima Donna types n good character guys .
Now will they be coached up is the question.
They’ll draft a CB in 4th if one there if not grab another WR with one these 3 picks
All that about winning sounds great coming from the guest, but it comes from the top. ALL those players, offensively and defensively, were extremely frustrated. Poor coaching and organizational decisions set the standard and mood for the team. You can't pin all that on one player.
What he Pirates have done? ASS
