- On the Friday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Mike's Beer Bar, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko joins host Christopher Carter to discuss the latest news surrounding defensive captain Cam Heyward. Why is he expected to skip offseason workouts with the team? Will his holdout persist into training camp? Or will he be able to reach a new contract with the team?
Our duo tackles those topics and ponders what it means that running back Najee Harris has dropped some weight ahead of Steelers OTAs and minicamp. Then later, Pirates insider Andrew Destin joins Christopher to look ahead to Paul Skenes' second MLB start Friday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Let Cam kick rocks let the new blood get going
Not worth the money and if he’s not willing to adjust I wish him well in retirement or wherever he goes. Idc about personal feelings I’m trying to win a super bowl.
Cam is gone... --> Troy, Ben, Hines, DeCastro, Terry, LeVeon, Rod, Franco, Webster, etc etc
He gonna hold out then pop his groin first game just like last year 🤔
Just cut cam in a time where he should take a payout. He wants a raise no thx. He's made a ton of money an is owed nothing.
Naj hasn’t had a power running style since he came into tha league that’s what we drafted him for he actually has a finesse style
Really? I've never seen finesse or heard anyone ever say that.
@@anthonyherrmann860 you are right. Najee is hearing the fools who want him to be Jaylen Warren,. some change of pace.
Cam is a great guy and does alot for the community but that said Father Time waits for no man. Does he have another HEALTHY year in him? Maybe.
But to kick the can down the road for another couple years is a mistake imo…
A cam extension could probably lower his cap hit and he still is a very good player, our run defense was bad when wasn’t playing
He still was a top run defender in the league. Even last year with the groin injury, he was still top 5 DT vs the run. And if healthy no reason to think he couldnt be the same plus get 6-8 sacks for the season. It makes sense for both him and the team to figure this out, and the DT for next years draft is loaded with talent, and we could find larry okikjobis replacement. Just makes sense to bring him back for another 2 years while you find his eventual replacemnet.
What's up my fellow ⚫️ and gold ✨️??? Happy Friday
Cant pay him and Larry 35 mil for no sacks
Lets go.. no Zeise😂
Cam’s a narcissist
