I’m 35, will be 36 in May. I have been a diehard Steelers fan my whole life. I was raised to be that way. This off-season is wild. I’ve never seen anything like what is happening now. The Patrick Queen get is amazing, and he will do amazing things wearing black and yellow. Also, never thought Russell Wilson would be a Steeler. Just insane, and an awesome video my guy.

A million holes means you have to do something. Queen wasn’t good without Roquan Smith. He’s also terrible in coverage. None of the pickups have been good. This is the only one that’s decent.
@brandonman1315 wtf are you talking about gtfoh with that he needed roquan smith 💩. Did you or have you watched any of his tape he is shooting gaps when Smith is muddied up litterally picking up roquans assignments.

What's most exciting to me, is this guy was voted as one of the top 6 LB in the NFL in his age 24 season, & as DB showed, there's plenty of room to improve with coaching & experience.

Thanks a bunch for this breakdown DB. I now have a better understanding and appreciation for what Patrick Queen as good as he is. He certainly has what has been missing at the ILB position since Ryan Shazier suffered his career ending injury in 2014.

Dude new fan what an awesome detailed film session will now catch all of your work I loved Queen 15:37 is guy I wanted though thought he would cost 18 mill and as young as he is was willing to pay that too he’s gonna be a steeler for life such asset that we need if we fill rest of our holes between Ga and draft which I think we will for sure got Russ now I know all say I’m crazy but I think if healthy can win #7
i simply hope we use him correctly. the best way for his abilities. after the Dotson situation, i hope Jones gets moved back to the left side. also even Mincha comes to mind. they need to let him roam more. so i been losin faith in our ability to use players to the best of their ability. i do have total faith in Khan and even Tomlin to bring the players in., just not as much succeeding once here.
also, if you could do another film room on Donte Jackson?, that be sweet. more speed in the backhalf. gotta love that. and do you think these players can help allow Mincha to roam more again?

Hell of a pick up for the yinz
Mike Mcdonald has a great scheme with a react/attack or attack/react. Playing 1 and a half gap and with the LBs not 1 gapping a certain gap but, able to fold over into gaps and reading the backs shoulders. Like mentioned this allows Queen to play fast and be athletic. Question is, will the steelers do this as well?

I hope Teryl has a plan, because this is the best Linebacker we have had in awhile. My only worry is if cole can comeback solid.
It doesn’t matter. We have still have Roberts and I’m sure a mid round pick will be used on ILB even with the Queen signing. Cole is average at best.
Also, our interior defenders need to be pluggers. Got to make life easier on him and the rest of the room. Ravens were so good because and made it easier on queen and roquan because of how dominant they were against the run and pass. We have to be a complete unit is all im saying

The way the league is going a true "NT" like Casey Hampton...they don't really exist anymore. Steelers primarily play nickel defense 60% of the time.
He’s a guy you want to keep clean but not sure a true NT is gonna be in the cards. Not this year at least.
Well he looks 10 times better than Bush ever did, they can talk all they want that he only played better because of Roquan.

Great film on Patrick Queen - unfortunately most of his best plays come off of a three man front with three wide bodies keeping the OL off of the LB’s - he won’t have that luxury playing in the Steelers scheme
They need two more guys that are at least in the ballpark of his skill set because injuries. Nice breakdown Derrick.
With payton wilson beside him teams are not going run or do short passes against them ever and sacks will be going up! Its going to be like having 2 ryan shaziers out on the field at the same time.

Lamar is 58-19 career. Do you realize that he's on Hall of Fame pace winning. Lamar is #3 in win percentage. And #2 among current players. He's also 2 time MVP. Lamar and Patrick are only ones who has earned thier extension. Hence Joe Burrow is a mere average 29-22. Justin Herbert is under 500. Josh Allen is low IQ and turnovers machine. Lamar actually need a pay raise. See Lamar can and did carry a Super par roster. A injuries plagued roster. That's who you pay. Go learn something. Baltimore Ravens All Day Everyday
