Nice highlight video. Douglas had all the tools of a great heavyweight, unfortunately his desire didn't match his boxing skills. But he put it all together in Tokyo against Tyson.
Underrated ass fight douglas eas giving tucker that smoke before gassin out dudes both had hand speed like welterweights good fight against top 10 hws sum we have to hope and dream to see today due to dumb ass politics
Great highlights video. We can clearly see that Buster had the size, strength, speed, and skills to be a great heavyweight. He just needed the motivation to go out and take it, to gut it out. That’s what separates the A+ players from the A players. Here he didn’t have that motivation. But in Tokyo, oh boy, did he ever! I’ve watched the Douglas-Tyson fight at least a hundred times. It’s one of the most motivational things ever captured on film. Especially Round 9 when Douglas turned it all around after getting knocked down at the end of Round 8. There have been times in my life when I was like Douglas at the end of Round 8. And then it’s “OK boy, you got knocked down. Are you going to stay down or are you going to get up and win this?”
I was recently reading about the situations Tucker went through during the late 1980s and 90s. Tony Tucker, I feel, was so slept on that even Michael Spinks and George Foreman would have rather been stripped than defend their titles against him. In fact, the fight he had here against Buster Douglas was so ordered by the IBF because Spinks wouldn't take him as a mandatory; Spinks was standing to make more money from a fight with Gerry Cooney, even as he risked getting stripped of the title.

He never had the desire because he never wanted to be boxer. It was his only way to get closer to his father.

douglas had a wonderful jab man
So smooth and slick
he had all the potential to be an ATG
Agree. He could be an ATG if he dedicated at 100%.
@@Shovelhook he's still one though he beat Tyson in his prime and there's no one out there who can say the same
Tony Tucker was a very good boxer,
He should of kept away from drugs,
Where have you read he was on drugs?
@@jiyere if you look it up on the internet,
He admits in interviews to have taken drugs,
But Douglas had better skills and technical boxer
@@earth7551debatable. Tucker in this fight seemed to be pulling his punches till the later rounds when Douglas tired out

Not debatable at all did tucker k.o tyson??
Douglas was doing great until bad conditioning caught up to him
Although, the retro-style is no bad. When FightDoc?
FightDoc is not doing so well in terms of views and preferences, as of now I will stick with fight highlights. It's still a lot of fun to do :)
@@jiyere experiment more. Like a video about Ali.

Y pensar que' el que' le gano' a Tyson fue Douglas...😎
No solo lo golpeó, lo noqueó con frío...
Great video, and I was wondering if you could do some more terry Norris fights😃
I've been thinking about making another Leonard Norris fight in better video quality but if you have one in mind let me know ;)
Jean-Roger Orsini that sounds great, and I pretty much enjoy all of terry’s fights
Mista TNT delivering!
Tony TNT Tucker one of the unsung legends of Heavyweight boxers.

@@GreatMewtwo That is the truth... Back in those days, nobody really wanted to fight him. He was a great amateur and a great heavyweight boxer.
NOOO! Large-format? HD? (
I'm trying this one out. No HD for that one unfortunately...

But wrighting age and actually record it's a good idea.
