As a teacher I know that constant evaluation is needed like mock exams, unit exams etc so as teachers we get to know who the weaker students are and the ones about to fail in national exams. Also it alarms both students and parents to course correct themselves. it also allows the teacher to defend himself agains any inquiry after the students fail the exam and falsely accuse you as if you've not taught them well.
We had a cool teacher named mr Lewis also, and yes he had a pony tail and taught english. All the year the clowns were doing their thing til one day we got on the subject of ww2. It turns out mr Lewis was a bad ass, he was airborne over Normandy. The class clowns started respecting him after learning this.

I taught middle schoolers for 33 years. 4 years ago I thought yeah I’m good so I retired. I always had pretty good relationships with my students. There are those students that make it really tough. The thing that gets me about this sketch, got me in the classroom…the reaction of the rest of the class. They have standards for adults but not classmates. You could tell they only saw crazy behavior from the teacher not Jimmy. In their eyes Jimmy was fine.
i was one of them until some others started to do even worse. at least i've always made jokes about the actual lesson, showing that i was listening but they just played the clown, interrupting every minutes. and i became the most silent guy in the class, basically shaming myself for being so immature.
Teachers act like children and try to push their liberal views on everyone. If they didn’t take themselves so seriously they wouldn’t get made fun of so much.
@Halim Abdullayev There is no reason to feel bad for teachers, because they are not martyrs or saints and they enjoy their position of power was the morale of what I was saying.
I'm a teacher, had a Jimmy in my class, He forced me to move to another school, guess what, Jimmy's younger brother was there and they are the exact same copy
I'm a progressive, but here's where my co-progressives are wrong. They want teachers to stop cracking down on the one clown who prevents the rest of the class from learning. They want teachers to hurt the many to help the few. If we slow the pace of the class to keep Jimmy happy, he'll stay off the street and out of jail. Fuck that. He goes to jail and the rest of the class gets an education.

Plot twist..teacher cuts his ponytail off and returns as substitute teacher Mr Garvey.. EDIT: Fast forward...Jimmy joins a gang, changes his name to Donnie Herrera and returns to the school to talk about CONSEQUENCES... DOUBLE PLOT TWIST - And all this started because one of them stole the other one's High-On-Potenus joke in a different life when they were in school together...
This is the prequel to “ Substitute Teacher - Key & Peele” The moment the pony tail was cut was the moment he snapped. He lost his teaching license but had to make money and the only job qualification he had was teaching. So he went to a desperate inner-city school where they would hire whoever and let him in. They did. He worked there for years, and eventually earned his license back. He then, under a new principal, was allowed to sub there. Unfortunately, he never fully recovered from Jimmy. Upon thinking the students were ALL Jimmy’s, messing with him during attendance, he lost it again, this time for good. In fear of losing to Jimmy again, he lost himself.
Maybe that's why he never dared to go against Timothy. Timothy was none other than Jimmy, who kept failing his class before eventually shifting to the desperate inner-city school where he was too old to fit in, but went anyway to get his high school diploma.
"Jimmy went on to accomplish every goal he ever set out to achieve." His goals: Eat Cheetos and play video games in his mom's basement until he was 30.

i was in a class once where the teacher had no idea how to handle two kids like this in her class, and literally the whole period was derailed and would just be like this, she quit after that year.
I had a very cool teacher named (and I swear I’m not making this up) Mr Solo. He was a science teacher at my school for a very short time and the best teacher I and my other classmates saw in that school. His time there was short cuz, as what happens with most excellent teachers I assume, he was offered a position at a university. I wished him the best but it always saddens me to think that universities and colleges are seen as more prestigious than mainstream schools when schools should be seen as a priority for teaching, not a stepping stone to a higher position. People think intelligent, special kids go into universities but that’s simply not true. Kids with rich parents are the majority that go into university, regardless of intelligence and it places the kids that don’t have that opportunity into mediocre schools with mediocre education taught be teachers who don’t really care if any of their students are successful as long as they are guaranteed their pay.
Plot Twist: the teacher is actually Mr. Garvey. After this incident with Jimmy, he cut his hair, changed his identity, and annoys students on purpose in hopes that one day he will encounter Jimmy again and get revenge. We really need a Jimmy vs Mr Garvey video.

"Cool" teachers usually got wore down by asshole eventually anyway. I knew this really cool English teacher who always wanted to have fun and had interesting ways of teaching us freshman year by senior year she was a drill sergeant strictly by the book. Its really sad to see
Ya saw it with my freshman math teacher she was so sweet and kind by the end of senior year she was something else entirely. The 2 years before us were just full of "class clowns" and kids that when you give an inch they decide to take a mile. She looked so sad to :(. You have to be stern with children bc its in many of their natures to take advantage of things without fully understanding that its a blessing that they have this freedom.
YEP!! The system doesn’t allow for fun teachers and often the kids don’t either!! The structure demands format and physical space of public education even in well funded schools does t allow for freedom and flexibility.

When they failed bio, they. blamed our teacher (it was his first year) and he was fired at the end of the year. His name was Mr. Lewis and he was an outstanding teacher: it was one of the few times I truly excelled at science (I was more of a history and English buff).

I'm a progressive, but here's where my co-progressives are wrong. They want teachers to stop cracking down on the one clown who prevents the rest of the class from learning.
