while it is true that there are probably a lot of sheep, reddit is a forum where users self select threads and communities and thus are likely to be in groups where opinions overlap quite a lot. There's also the whole echo-chamber thing too.
My work colleague is like this. And she always responds with “omg, that’s so cute!” Without listening to the rest of the story. So when my Nena passed away, I was trying to tell my other colleagues about why I was away the previous days and she jumps right in and says “omg, that’s so cute!” Never wanted to uppercut someone so much in my life.
Safa Basheer ahamed trust me, I know socially awkward and she is far from it. She’s the loudest one in the lunch room and always jumping into conversations.
This behavior is not as uncommon as you think. People putting down other people in an attempt to feel accepted and place themselves above that person is actually very common because not many people are intelligent/self aware about their insecurities to just accept them. Its a very toxic society
This hits pretty hard in the post irony era. People (on the internet) are unwilling to engage in serious discussions because nuance has too much 'mental friction'.
Oh yeah, all discourse on the internet is just the shotgun micro-aggression approach by anonymous people. You throw as much shit out as quickly as possible. Usually the daily talking points, then disappear as soon as people start picking your arguments apart.
Ehm, I know I'm in the minority here but I feel like some people not having strong opinions about the stuff they do so they just go along with what everybody else does doesn't hurt anybody and makes people stick together. For them it's about making other people happy first and foremost, which can be achieved by going along with what other people do.
@@SathvickSatish Yeah, he's saying, "This isn't awkward at all. This is very low-stakes. You don't have to get all uncomfortable like I just screamed a racial slur or threatened your brother. We are talking about movies."
This is one of my top 5 favourite Key and Peele skit of all of them. It's so accurate and I love the comebacks. I can also relate to it. People used to treat me like that too
This is honestly one of the most important sketches they’ve ever done. People are made to feel crazy because they have opinions that they stand behind strongly. The person that agrees with everything people say has no true sense of who they really are, therefore making them deeply insecure, and ultimately makes them feel like they need to make other people feel the same way just to feel some semblance of security in social situations. It’s so toxic.
I LOVE that they saved the "oookkkay" line for the end, because that's actually the most "generic" one of those kinds of reactions, so how fitting is it that it got used against him.

I still agree with that guy....the three friends who's brain can't contemplate deep responses are the awkward ones that just follow the opinions of everyone else. Fully agree that just because someone has an unpopular opinion doesn't mean you just laugh and look at your other friends as if that was the awkward person. Contribute to the conversation.
@@charlieribbit8253 my thing is even if I disagree with them it's better to have a conversation about topics and learn different opinions than to just say "lol wut"
And that is most of America. Possibly the world now. So many people are uneducated on so many things. They only believe what they hear on the news or see on Facebook, etc. They don't think for themselves. It's too hard. A good many I think don't have an opinion because they're afraid theyll be labeled or not conform to the popular opinion.
I see what Jordan Peele means by there being a parallel between comedy and horror. And he hits it masterfully in these sketches and his movies. Key and Peele are a dynamo comedic duo 😎✊🏽

while it is true that there are probably a lot of sheep, reddit is a forum where users self select threads and communities and thus are likely to be in groups where opinions overlap quite a lot. There's also the whole echo-chamber thing too.
@@bananasplit4391 how did you manage to be so Reddit-y about your analysis of Reddit lmao
99.9, reddit should really be called loserville
My work colleague is like this. And she always responds with “omg, that’s so cute!” Without listening to the rest of the story. So when my Nena passed away, I was trying to tell my other colleagues about why I was away the previous days and she jumps right in and says “omg, that’s so cute!”
Never wanted to uppercut someone so much in my life.

Ew that's condescending as hell. Uppercut her next time lol
Maybe she is just socially awkward, I remember smiling and nodding along because I was afraid of asking for clarification while in high school..
Safa Basheer ahamed trust me, I know socially awkward and she is far from it. She’s the loudest one in the lunch room and always jumping into conversations.
"The loudest in the room is the weakest"
Bears are tough shit man.
What about a shotgun
they’re talking about people.
i miss u kakyoin no he’s talking about shotguns
That is definitely not always true. I know some loud ass, strong ass ppl. Like they pull Key on ppl all the time essentially.
I know I’m in the minority here, but after years of seeing these guys. I still have no idea who is key and who is peele
yikes
Awkward
Key is the black one, and Peele is the other black one.
Smithy oof
Peele is now the fat one so that should make it easy
Even though this is hilariously dramatized, the scenario is 100% on point and we all know someone like that! 😂😂😂😅
I don't know anybody who is not like that. 99% of Americans eat what Disney and its subsidiaries serve to them.
Some of these are done better than full movies.

This behavior is not as uncommon as you think. People putting down other people in an attempt to feel accepted and place themselves above that person is actually very common because not many people are intelligent/self aware about their insecurities to just accept them. Its a very toxic society
That's the whole point of the fucking sketch...
Dumbasses; I swear they learn nothing.
This hits pretty hard in the post irony era. People (on the internet) are unwilling to engage in serious discussions because nuance has too much 'mental friction'.
Interesting take. Agreed!
Oh yeah, all discourse on the internet is just the shotgun micro-aggression approach by anonymous people. You throw as much shit out as quickly as possible. Usually the daily talking points, then disappear as soon as people start picking your arguments apart.
Probably the most underrated social thing that, if people weren't like that, the globe would basically be a better place
Ehm, I know I'm in the minority here but I feel like some people not having strong opinions about the stuff they do so they just go along with what everybody else does doesn't hurt anybody and makes people stick together. For them it's about making other people happy first and foremost, which can be achieved by going along with what other people do.
Okayyy lol… found the person that says weird things during conversations

I like how in the beginning, the girls just stood up and left silently when the comic books were mentioned and the boys weren't even surprised😂😂
Yas! I'm like did anyone else notice this small detail 🤣🤣🤣
Even funnier when you realise you can still see them just chilling in the background. They couldn't even be bothered to make a complete exit.

Seriously 😭😂
This is one of my top 5 favourite Key and Peele skit of all of them. It's so accurate and I love the comebacks. I can also relate to it. People used to treat me like that too
This is honestly one of the most important sketches they’ve ever done. People are made to feel crazy because they have opinions that they stand behind strongly. The person that agrees with everything people say has no true sense of who they really are, therefore making them deeply insecure, and ultimately makes them feel like they need to make other people feel the same way just to feel some semblance of security in social situations. It’s so toxic.
you're the guy in the video. you repeated the premise like it was profound but everyone already agrees.

Yup, my friends are always too afraid to formulate a proper opinion on something.
