    I’ve been on the fence with the Sony A7C II, Canon R8 and This body. I cannot choose. Too hard but something about the ZV-E1 just has me coming back to it. Thanks for making this bro. Definitely subbing.

    Last July, I weighed my options between the α6700 and the ZV-E1 before ultimately settling on the α7 IV. Its larger sensor (33MP vs 12 MP) and crisper 4K video quality (over-sampled from 7K) swayed my decision. Although the α7 IV initially met my expectations, I encountered a slowdown in my workflow during personal projects in August and September when I needed to switch between photo and video modes. I needed different focal lengths for photos and videos, making lens changes cumbersome. However, at the start of this year, I realised that the ZV-E1 would better cater to my video requirements, and indeed it does. Now, my setup operates almost seamlessly, with the α7 IV paired with the Tamron 35-150mm and the ZV-E1 with the Sony 24mm F2.8 G. The latter combination is compact, inconspicuous and less intimidating, perfect when in public settings.

    Really good video! Loved your storytelling and how you described the camera itself but also how it fits into your life. Recently purchased the ZV-E1 for basically exactly what you described I just have been scared to get out and film so thanks for the inspo 🎥

    The sensor develops regular hot pixels, visible in very low light at high ISO. The pixel mapping gets rid but new ones crop up all the time.

    Currently my everyday cam is the FX30, I had the A7C for everyday and my FX30 but sold the A7C to wait for another daily cam. in the meantime I'm using the FX30 for both everyday and purposeful short films. Hope to grab the ZVe1 soon. The reasons you are sharing here are in line with my reasonings on getting one. Great Vid!

    I got the Sony A7RV as my prime camera a few months ago. I love that camera, but I don't feel comfortable taking the camera with me as I walk around the city. The Sony ZV E1 seems to be a good fit. Thank you for the video. I'm really considering getting it. The 2 cameras should complement each other pretty good.

    Great video!
    I just got the zv-e1, and im wondering for someone like me that shoots mainly video as an enthusiast but like to have great looking photos at the time that i am, if the zv-e1 is right for it, or perhaps i should get the sony A7R V ?
    Whats ur take on it ?
    I mainly create videos for youtube, but like to take photos from time to time, and just like what u said in the video, the size factor of the zv-e1 really appealing

      Personally, I do not shoot photos with the ZV-E1, but the few times I have had great results! with that being said you should check out the A7 IV. Will get you as close to a hybrid as you can!

    Have you had any issues uploading raw photos from the Sony zve1 to your MacBook Pro? Mine aren’t uploading to it or even opening unless I make them jpeg. Also, I’m having trouble when I’m putting my videos with this camera into premiere pro. Laggy and slow and freezing when editing. The file sizes are really big with this camera. Any tips?

    • @Erisponsibility
      @Erisponsibility 7 месяцев назад +1

      It can depending on how long you shoot for and whether there's moving air in your environment, but you can use a tiny USB-C fan to prevent overheating indoors. people have also found various other strategies. So far I've only had it get quite warm once when I was using it for like 30 minutes during a plane landing, but with my style of shooting it's not overheated yet

      I really feel like people need to stop asking if this camera overheats. This camera is Hated so much because of it and i don't get it. Unless you get paid a lot of money for a client shoot, you shouldn't worry if this will overheat. Please spread the word and thank you for this video
