    Try this method. Put 4 empty soup cans in a 5 gal bucket. Set the tires on the cans. Pour 1" of acetone into the bucket being careful not to get any on the tires(it can eat rims and foams if submerged). Seal the bucket. Come back 24 hrs later and the tires fall off the rims. Use gloves and leave the bucket in the garage or outside. No mess no work... Yours is faster but I don't have a heat gun👍

  • @RCsBigAir
    @RCsBigAir 5 лет назад +2

    Yes, the heat gun really seems to be the way to go. Good demo video. I have actuyally never done this before, but when I need to, I know how. Thanks for the info.

    I've been pretty down lately. My Birthday is Sunday, and I know nobody can afford to get me any Presents. First time...
    Things are tough, and we're survivors. It's just a Bummer. It's 55.
    I didn't get your Wife's name, but please thank her for Cindi and I. It brightened our Day.
    We were BOTH Military Brats, before I Signed... Looking at our Fathers (E6 Navy, my Dad - O7 USAF) makes me realize that we are NOT treated better than the last generations. Myself, I am a victim of Congressional CUTBACKS over the past 15 years...
    Sorry to vent Bro. You have your own issues...

    I use a heat gun as well but ya'll are the first, that I've heard at least, to tell people to wear gloves! I personally use a cotton liner glove or leather as you do but it is very important imo & thank you for mentioning it. Too many assume too much I think, that people know these obvious things, but when ya'll are new to RC's or doing your own work, we all had to learn as we went a long, that gets forgotten too often. Great tip, wicked video, thanks for sharing your experience & expertise in a very good video.
    Of course I had to sub your channel Brother, as a Builder I'm always curious what or how others do what they do & it's very interesting, ya'll have a lot of wicked content here, great job!!

    Hey Brother I know this was back a while ago but I've got the Canyon Trail 2.2's and need to dismount them but save the wheels too, going to do Beadlocks withe the tires, You mentioned goo gone for cleaning up the bead on the tire... Wondering if I used it then the heat if'n it would work off better?

    That works great. I've seen people ruin everything in the oven and who the hell wants all that toxic shit were they're gonna be making dinner? I actually love the Traxxas tires but a 2 stage would make them even better. In fact I was gonna just send you a set after the servo until we talked. Thanks for the tip!
