I just tried this after watching your video, I put a set of Traxxas slash tires and wheels in at 300 degrees for 20 minutes and BAM! The tires about fell right off the wheels, this was so easy it's the only way to go!
Boiling water will not exceed 212 deg F. The oven method seems to make more sense to me since the higher temps should break down the glue while keeping the wheels and tires below their melting points. Thanks for the info!
Cool! Yeah there's a few guys baking and boiling...I tried boiling some preglued Duratrax and it was a no go! And that was for over 40minutes! All it did was take the chrome finish off! Lol! I guess it depends on the glue as well. I think I'll try the bake method this wkend.
leave it on 325F for 20. if needed throw them back in for 10 minute intervals checking them each time. sometimes they just need flipped over and another 10 minutes. i use a big spoon to push down on the bead to see if it is lose yet.
320 for 20 minutes! works great. smells in the oven though and the wife wont stop complaining. got a solution for that? oh well it was worth it. Next time ill wait till she leaves! LOL
Hey man you and the first guy were right baking them off was easy I did like you did bake them at 330° for 25 minutes and they came right off thanks for the info
That was very cool man I did the boiling method if you want to check out my video and I seen that bow of Cheerios lol thought I would throw that in there for a good laugh 👊👍✌
gluing tires on the rims" NOT" I tryed nail polish remover did not work so if you plan on using the tires on a other car/truck don't glue them whats the worst that can happen the tire comes off the rim ie just put it back on the rim
Great idea for bashing but you have to glue those suckers if you're going to be racing. I had bead locks on my 2wd sct and even those came loose. The inner foams where out and wrapped around the axle lol.
Lol I've been waiting for a time the wife was gone so I could do this. Funny you said that.
by far the best method and it dont damage wheels, tires or foams. all come out with no damage. I use a toaster oven in the garage.
Awesome just finished 12 tires they popped off the rims quit easily thank you 😊

I have used the boiling method in the past & i see that baking is just as effective but smelly. ;)
Just to be clear, you left the oven on the whole 20 mins? I've watched other videos saying to turn the oven off once you put the tire in.

No problem. (your channel is awesome)
Great tips; do it while wife not home & don't leave kitchen 😂
+thesstype words of wisdom lol
worked like a champ! odor wasn't too awful. my larger 10th scale MT tires took 40min, ST tires 20min
Do you use a brush after
No most of not all of the glue came all the way off.
330 f or Celsius?
F not C
You gonna finish those Cheerios?!
nope. i can box em up for ya and ship them out lol!

If you wrap them completely in aluminum foil thr smell won’t come out
