    Thanks, Jules:
    I didn't know how hard this is after a 2 week break because of Covid. Cardio is no problem, but weights are another story. I will do this every other day to get my strength back.

    Excellent advice to me, to skip the weights to protect my arm...I was tempted to use light weights, but listened to you...better to take it slowly. I also tried to do all the arm movements, very gently when necessary, to avoid having my arm "freeze" up. I had that happen years ago when I had a torn rotator cuff. Not fun! Thanks Jules, for your thoughtful help.

    I put aside all my morning activities and immediately went 'into battle'. For lack of time, I did not look for light weights. I sweated a bit because it was hard, but I survived.
    Thank you so much, Jules, for the cool exercises.
    I didn't take breaks, even though with dumbbells I always do, But is it really the case that when using dumbbells you have to take one-minute breaks so that it's not just aerobics, but also strength exercises?💛

    • @ImprovedHealth
      @ImprovedHealth  Год назад +1

      You don't need to take breaks when the weights are light as in this workout. If at any point you feel like you need a break, by all means, put the weights down briefly and pick them up again when you're ready to:)

    • @lucius10
      @lucius10 Год назад

      @@ImprovedHealth Thank you, but I'll ask the question again if I may :) because I don't think we understood each other, Jules.
      Some trainers believe that if lifting dumbbells is to be EFFECTIVE as a WEIGHT exercise, you need to take minute breaks, otherwise the whole workout feels like aerobics.
      For me, it is always important that lifting dumbbells in all circumstances is a muscle development exercise. I don't want to do two workouts i.e. one as aerobics and the other for muscle strength training because I don't have time for that.
      So is a session like the current one a muscle development exercise even though I don't take breaks? Do you even agree with the trainers who say what I wrote above, because maybe they (one claimed so) are wrong?

    Thanks for this workout! For some reason I can't access my two workouts I do during my workday on your channel anymore. One was a 1200 step gentle walking workout and the other one was a 1116 step low impact gentle walk. When I try to click on them now they say private.

      Sorry about that, Venissia! I had some copyright issues with those two videos so I recreated them into one new video. I have lots of shorter workouts (10-20 minutes) that will hopefully still work for you. If you go to the playlists, you'll be able to find them all there. You can also find various workouts a little easier on my website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). I hope that helps! Here is the new version of the 10 minute video: ruclips.net/video/EgUpLgyx0zo/видео.html

    How many steps were in this video? I just like to keep track on my calendar.

      Hi Daisy, I just looked in my binder where I keep track but I didn't write it. Sometimes I start recording a video, then mess up and have to restart. When that happens, I usually write the number of steps down, so I know what to subtract off the total, but sometimes I forget as well. I must have forgotten to write it down that day. On average though, a 10 minute walk is around 1000 steps:)

    Love your workouts, but the music, not so much.

      It's definitely hard to find music that I can legally use (I pay a subscription to use non-copyrighted music). I'd say finding music is the hardest part of creating these videos. Occasionally I do use copyrighted music, but when I do, any income from those videos goes to the music companies.
