    Hey Everyone - me again!
    I just had a thought... I run numerous apps with MSFS to make my setup work seamlessly and I didn't really mention them much in this video - without them this flight desk wouldn't work as well as it does. So.... I am going to work on another video that goes through the apps that I use and will provide all the links to them also - keep an eye out for this on the channel, I will try and make it as soon as I can (I have not long finished recording a 4 hour flight video and have yet to edit that for release too!).
    Also thank you for all the views, likes and questions/comments - I will try and respond to every single one of you - man I love the flight sim community, you're all awesome as heck!
    AB xx

      Thanks! It defs makes it easier during flights.
      And full credit to the creator of the pop-out app I use from flightsim.to, if it wasn’t for that app I never would have thought of this set up at all.

      @@AB_neobeautiful! But… no fps drop for pop out all of this display ? I dont know why but i have some problems with the extraction of the N’ 3 atr display. Very very drop of fps with a 4090 and 7950x3d :/.

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      I haven’t come across the issue on my setup, but I’m not running anything in Ultra (the highest setting is ‘High’, with some settings at medium) - purely as I have the 4070 and anything above that is a struggle!)
      There is a definite FPS drop when on VatSim, but only when I’m on the ground at heavy airports with a lot of traffic.
      Maybe just have a tweak with the settings, it’s all a balancing act!
      I should note that I haven’t noticed any FPS drops on the pop-out displays either. Sometimes the PMDG nav display goes into slide show mode on approach, but it’s maybe 1 out of every 5 flights that I’ve noticed it - and I think that’s a PMDG issue as it doesn’t do the same on the Fenix or Horizon displays.

      I’m working on a software vid next and it will include how I get the most out of the Bravo (I have it more or less working on all Boeing aircraft in the sim including the 787). Give me a couple weeks to make it, but it will help shed some light on that 😁
      And thanks! Has taken me a long time to get it to this stage, of course there will be more additions no matter how “complete” I tell myself it is hahahah!

    Thanks a lot for the detailed message I will look into that PC. I’m using the Xbox with the thrustmaster TCA throttle and joystick which is great but I’m looking for something more realistic as the only aircraft they really have is the default A320, which is not realistic at all I’m going to get the PMDG 737 and see how that works it’s gonna take a long time to get the money for that PC so might look into getting the honeycomb throttle etc… I really appreciate your time to answer my questions I will keep in touch with how my sim comes on!! Love watching the channel thanks for the great content😊

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      Sorry for the convoluted answers lol! I was recording my next full flight vid at the time and didn’t read your question properly at all! (My bad).
      For the PC, I would also recommend the Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke over honeycomb’s yoke - they’re similar price, but I feel it’s superior - which is funny as the honeycomb throttle is superior to Thrustmaster’s throttle.
      Shop around online for better throttle handles and detents too, I got mine from ProDeskSim, but took 2.5 months to arrive, and the US$ exchange rate was horrific - I have since found similar products on Etsy for a lot less cost.
      The throttle handles that come with the honeycomb are a little disappointing otherwise.

    • @MSFSflightsA330
      @MSFSflightsA330 20 дней назад +1

      No problem mate please don’t worry you know I could have worded wrong myself 😅do you know if it’s easy to connect the honeycombe throttle and the thrustmaster Boeing yoke together on Xbox. As I might consider upgrading my hardware on Xbox before getting the PC.

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      Nah your question made perfect sense when I read it back, it was me trying to multitask and got all muddled!
      Sadly you can’t use the Thrustmaster yoke and the honeycomb throttle together on the Xbox. The honeycomb all connects to their own yoke with a hub device, and then from the yoke back to the Xbox with one USB cable.
      Thrustmaster is similar, their own gear connects back to the yoke and then from the yoke back to the console.
      Turtlebeach also has the same setup with their hardware too.
      It’s a limitation with the console version where it won’t recognise each component on it’s own and relies on the firmware of one central component to act as a bridge between it, the console and the other components.

  • @andy70d35
    @andy70d35 11 дней назад +1

    You would have been better to stick to the Honeycomb for both Airbus and Being, that is what I do, and just change the levers and detents, but I use flightsim factory add-ons for the throttle quadrant. As I found them better quality.

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  11 дней назад

      I’m still considering it! I do like the TM Quadrant, but I can only find 3D printer files for the better placed detents, seems no one is selling the physical parts 😞.
      The more I use the honeycomb, the more I’m thinking to get the Airbus add-ons for it too.

    Fighter jets don't have twist. You could however use that twist for your tiller. Very good for the airliners and the bizjets.

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  19 дней назад

      I did wonder! Thanks for clarifying, I wasn’t sure if that feature came from something in the real world or if it was just a flight sim addition.
      I’m looking into getting a tiller add-on in the future - holding out for WinWing to make one (they haven’t hinted at it, I’m just speculating).
      The rudder pedal method for me works pretty well so far.

  • @vickomf1
    @vickomf1 20 дней назад +1

    The FlyByWire A32N lets you calibrate the throttle position to the exact position on the detents

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  19 дней назад

      No problem with the calibration - all except for the default A320neo have this feature. But the gap on the Thrustmaster throttle is wrong, so the lower end of the throttle is very sensitive. Otherwise it works just fine - it is still a very good throttle.

  • @MSFSflightsA330
    @MSFSflightsA330 20 дней назад +1

    Amazing video been looking for a video just like this!!! Got loads of questions now🤣 Do you recommend a good PC as I’m currently running on Xbox and want more options for hardware and payware addons but don’t have a huge budget probably no more than 800 to 1000 Pounds😫

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      I hear you… budget is always an issue with flight sim.
      I started on Xbox 2 years ago, but moved to PC - only because there were so many issues with MSFS crashing on Xbox, but I think they have that under control now.
      With Xbox I would recommend the Thrustmaster Airbus Captains Pack - it comes with the stick and throttle quad and you can also get the pedals to go with it - all three work together on Xbox. And it looks like it’s under £300 on Amazon:
      www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-TCA-Captain-Pack-Airbus-blue/dp/B0B4SS2DNS
      The pedals are a pretty good price too:
      amzn.eu/d/9SiHvRM
      You can also get the honeycomb hardware, but have to also buy an Xbox hub to connect them all to the console.
      Just be aware that you can’t mix and match hardware on console as they all have to connect to each other and then it’s one USB cable back to the console (as opposed to PC where they are connected separately). I strongly recommend reading up on what hardware is going to work on Xbox before committing the money to it
      And also - those links are not affiliate links or anything - I’m not here to profit haha! I just want everyone to enjoy the virtual flying world as I do!!

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      Also… am jealous of the prices of hardware on your side of the globe! I’m in Australia and everything is so expensive here… but that’s probably because my country might as well be on the moon for shipping costs hahahaha.

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  20 дней назад

      Ah shit dude, I totally read your question wrong - I thought you were looking for Xbox hardware!
      You should be able to get a decent PC for £1000. Aim for an RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB RAM and at least an i7 CPU.
      You’re going to need at least 2GB of storage as MSFS is data heavy.
      Look at flightsim.to for freeware before buying anything, and there are a lot of decent freeware aircraft add-ons available too - Horizon Simulations and FlyByWire are quite good.
      The Fenix A320 and PMDG aircraft are up there as the most expensive, but they are 100% worth it.
      And anything you’ve already purchased in the MarketPlace on Xbox will carry over to PC without extra charges.

    Hello smart way to have the thing the joystick for airbus is on our have you bought it thinking of buying the same thing

    • @AB_neo
      @AB_neo  13 дней назад

      I have the sidestick on the Thrustmaster desk bracket - but honestly I would look at any desk bracket for this as I found the ThrustMaster one to be a bit more expensive than it should be - it is pretty good, and sturdy too, but there are plenty out there for half the price that do the same job!
      Definitely better having it at a more realistic height and off the desk - gives you better motion of control too as you’re not carrying the weight of your whole arm and can make more precise movements with just your forearm and wrist.

    G’day mate
    I am still building mine and will do a walk through like yours. In the meantime I am
    Wondering why you would not go triple screen since you have the capability?
    That said my displays can be finicky due to my older graphics card.
    Also I struggle with the number of USB connections and have found hubs are hit and miss. Any suggestions on which hubs are best?
    My setup is currently
    Older pc with a 2070
    3 x Hisense 42 inch 4K displays on the NLR triple mount
    NLR Flight pro cockpit
    Thrustmaster airbus stick and throttle (cannot get the flow to work on the Fenix but works fine on default A320) any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated.
    Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo
    Have the Original Saitek yoke and displays all in a box as I don’t use them.
    Cheers
    Chris

      Can’t wait to see what you’ve put together - seeing the amazing setups on RUclips was what inspired me to record my walkthrough, I honestly could watch setup vids all day - while spawned into the sim myself of course haha.
      Definitely a good question - have been waiting for someone to ask why I just use the one main display seeing as MSFS has the ability to extend across multiple. I did try it, I have 2 x 24” HP displays and originally set it up with the left and right sides extended, but as they’re smaller than the main display it just didn’t look right. That, and I really like having all the accompanying app windows open while I’m flying, just so it’s all there and available on screen (the usuals like Navigraph/Simbrief, V-Pilot, SimAware and Volanta - plus OBS when I’m recording).
      Am thinking the next step is to upgrade and get 2 more 32” displays and extend it properly, but would need a PC upgrade as I’ll want 5 or 6 displays total. I know I can get instrument panels etc instead of popping them out, but I like to have the versatility of changing aircraft types, so using displays instead of additional hardware seems to make sense - and also I can’t imagine how many hours I’d have to spend in Spad.next setting all those peripherals up!
      As for the USB hub situation, I kind of don’t use any. I say kind of, as the two HP displays I use have 2 x powered USB-A ports built in, and they connect back to my PC with one cable. I have my main controllers connected to these (I swap out the Airbus and Boeing hardware as I need them using the same USB-C cables), and then one of my webcams connects to the fourth available port. I also have 9 USB-A and 1 USB-C port on the PC, and not all are used as of yet, so for now I haven’t looked into a decent hub.
      Definitely let me know when your setup is done and it’s online - would love to see what you’ve built!

    I bought one, the first couple flights it was synched with FS2020. For some reason when I go to managed modes it doesnt display the managed reading in FS2020. You didn’t miss anything, I realise now I mentioned nothing of it!!! My bad lol.
      That’s a cheaper generic controller clamp, after buying the Thrustmaster clamp at AUD$130 I decided that’s too much for one controller, so found some on eBay - it took a lot of adjustment, there are 12 bolts/nuts to fiddle with to get it all aligned, but I got 2 for AUD$116, and this one has a tension single lever clamp to grip the desk instead of a screw clamp, so I can remove it in less than a second.
      I just checked online and seems the ones I bought aren’t available anymore.
      This is the closest I can find, but looking at these the top plate that sits on the top of the desk is quite short, so possibly not as sturdy:
