Having recently stepped into the 'Maker' field myself, and experienced the highs and lows of building, troubleshooting, fixing, and seeing ideas come to life, hearing the details of the build, your thought process, and how you solved those design problems was a pleasure Doc. The build looks fantastic.
WOW! WOW! WOW! That is a beautiful setup you have there. The Airbus Blue/Gray cockpit color scheme looks really nice. Man, home flight simulators have really come a long way. Well, again, job well done and always look for new and better things to enhance your flight sim experience!
I have a 3d printer for over 8 years and never though of making my own cockpit, even something to hold the throttle and joystick. This is something I definitely will be looking at. Sub to this channel.
That's really cool! I have found that VR does wayyyyyyyy more than anything 3D printed. Also adding a bass shaker takes it to another level! Good flying!
Fantastic job! It's really great to see your own design coming to life. That makes sim flying a awesome hobby, you can combine it with other fun things like designing and printing, electronics etc...
Hey man, that is a very nice setup! i wish i had one too. But ill get that when i have the money. Keep up the great video! Next thing: Building an 1:1 a320 out of print.
the most importend part of a airbus cockpit for the pilot is the armrest that leads to the joystick, to have the best ability of control. get one for your set up! :)
Great video, just what I was trying to find but… You should 100% do one for the A350, no one has ever done one of those before, you can do it for the DFD or Inibuilds one.❤
Looks sick! Love the attention to detail, but it looks like youre sitting a bit high up and upright in relation to the screen and your instrument panel? Personally i would probably move the panel a bit up and backwards and maybe tilt it just slightly and adjust the chair down a little bit! If i remember correctly, the a320 has a slight tilt to the instrument panel
fantastic job! keep it up! just one question, on your ipads you had the displays going on there is there an app for it or how did you get them on the screens?
Impressive work and video! I’ve just started printing my own Airbus panels and found it difficult to source filament in the right color. Could you share what type of filament you’re using?
Cool setup.. I'm waiting for WINWING to release their EFIS pane!. I also like the 'No Smoking / Fasten Seat belt' Illuminated sign. Was that also 3D Printed? If so how? thanks.
Really enjoy your content. I play DCS exclusively & fly helicopters. However, the release of MSFS 2024 ‘might’ change this. BTW, how on Earth were you unable to achieve your dream of becoming a pilot, but were intelligent enough to become a qualified doctor, was it your eyesight that let you down? It was eyesight that prevented me from being accepted into a tank regiment, so joined the parachute regiment instead. However, my eyesight was obviously more than good enough to differentiate between the red & green jump lights in a Hercules 😂
what glue did you use and how did you get the lng gear and autobrk on that 6 button mini stream deck? I looked at the site that sells them butt says nothing about the mini deck?
ooooh, nah, this seat is kinda uncomfortable! You can probably retrofit something else though, but if youre that tall, I'd go for an aluminium profile rig, especially if you wanna chill in it too :)
I SOLEMNLY SWEAR NOT TO LEAVE IT THAT LONG BETWEEN UPLOADS AGAIN LOL ---> Subscribe to see me fly the Airbus
Can you do 737 but you don’t need to
Can i have the link of the 3d model if you can ? :)
@TheFlightDoc what file did you use?
@@sametjeu it’s now in the description :)
@@sebastiannewburn hell yeah!!
I think this is fantastic. Great idea for extra immersion without spending thousands on a full build
Glad you like it! It makes quite a surprising difference on a relatively small budget :D

Thanks for the thoughtful comment, it does create a lot of enjoyment and despite me saying i’m not a DIY person…I think I may be becoming one!
I know EXACTLY what you're gonna make/buy next episode: an MCDU
Maybe he just uses simbridge if he doesn't fly the fenix
Ask winwing for their display ! They will surely send you some
ooooh, damn, I'm not sure these butter fingers can make something so finicky lool
