"We don't really have a go around plan... because we don't really want to go around" love it
haha, glad you enjoyed it!
This hobby can never go too far. I got the Airbus TCA Captain’s Pack, the Next Level Racing Boeing Commercial chair, a 4070 and 13th gen i7, and X-Plane 12 with all of the Toliss aircraft, Rotate MD-11, FF757&767, and Felis 742. I love this hobby
Amen to that!! I do need a dedicated flight rig!!
Yo felis 742
you are rich
This is awesome! I’m a real life airline pilot and once went through the rabbit hole if building a sim. I eventually abandoned the project due to incredible complexities. I would love to see a written version of your build process. I may get back to this hobby!
I will be publishing my website/newsletter this weekend, will post a link on here and on instagram :) glad you enjoyed the video!
This rig is actually minimal and straight to the point. The way it looks could be made into an all in one kit. Very clean.
would love a full kit like that, just put everything together and voilla, no need to hunt for parts in different stores.
Sometimes putting a lot of effort into things can dull the payoff you get from it, but the enthusiasm you have for what you created is really great to see.
That's a really lovely comment! I do love it and it brings me massive amounts of enjoyment :)
Came from TheCarDoc. It always amazes me how the sim racing and flightsim communities are intertwined. I started off with racing and got into flightsim when I was younger as well. The motion platform is ideal for sim racing and flightsim as well. Looking forward to all your content man!
I started off in trucksim, doing long drives from Seattle to California, now I do up to 19 hour flights in X-Plane 12
Thanks mate!! It's amazing so many of us share the same interests! being able to do flightsim and racingsim stuff keeps things interesting and adds variety to the hobby :D
Same two I play most racing and flight
Alonso knew what was up when he said: *”It’s a yoke!”*
@@tver @theflightdoc is secretly in on El Plan
Love the video. As an A320 type rated pilot all I can say is that your sim looks awesome. You just need some pro tips but all good. Safe flights 🛫🛫🛫
bro i started watching the video thinking this was a full channel with like over 500k subs, but no, this video is really good though, underrated asfk lol
I appreciate that! I only just started, so it's a great start! Stick around for more !
Great video, definitely a very nice setup. I loved your description and your enthusiastic good-hearted mood It was nice to see someone loving something they have created.
And thank you thank you SO much for telling me about Space Desk!!! It was really the software I was looking for so I could use my old phone and tablet to do some pretty amazing things with my gaming environment which includes Microsoft Flight simulator though I'm a relative newbie to that one. I haven't explored Space disc completely as yet but again thank you so much for that.
I wish you Good luck on your future endeavors be it racing or flying or life in general.
Ray
Nice job. A hobby you enjoy is a blessing, keep it up!
I got started on flight simulator a long time ago. Went from XT to AT, 286, 386, 386 with math coprocessor chip, 486, 586/Pentium and all of the items up to now at an i9 with a 4080 and m.2 drives. All of my H/W upgrades were so I could fly at a better FPS. I want to build a cockpit. I just have to make it my next project. Nice setup, I like that chair.
oh, I almost forgot, get the Fenix.
I Just got through watching a full 18-wheeler truck simulator setup that made me question if it was reality or not. You definitely have not taken it too far. lol
Glad to know theres more to go lol
This is incredible man. Not just your setup, but the video is perfect too. I was shocked to see you only have 1k subs. I thought you were some huge channel. Incredible job, and I wish you much success
Thank you so much for the kind words! Much more to come!
I reckon there will be plenty more subs soon! (I’ve subbed). Great video - insane set up.
love the motion chair love your set up love everything i wish i had a flight set up like your
0:12 I don’t know, but I’ve always wanted one😂. Darn it DOC now you can afford all the equipment : ). I think you have the best of both worlds. You get to help people while you’re at work and then come home and fly. Since you have a few peoples attention pressure Apple into making their Vision Pro compatible with our software that we’ve already had for a long time 😂. If you start crying in the middle of your videos that would be fine. Anything to get them to make it compatible😮😅
If you can explain biology to your patience as well as you can flight simulator cockpits, you’re pretty good doctor 😂.
On the other hand, if you accidentally told a male patient that you need to check his rudder instead of prostate then maybe you are a little bit too much into your hobby 😊
Holy crap ! Makes my little Cessn172 look like a bloody toy !!.............great stuff
Stumbled on this channel and I love this guy, I think it's his enthusiasm, lol! With a super nice rig like this, I was wondering if you should get a head tracker, it might make things easier and more immersive .
Love your energy brethren! Fun to watch.
Thanks bro :D
Recently came across your channel and subscribed almost instantly. Great content bro.
Loved that ,nice set up too ,keep it up doc 👍
Incredible simulator, the color is cool as well. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it :)
This is AWESOME man... I am so jealous! I love the modified Honeycomb Bravo... If only I could have a dedicated PC for a dedicated flight sim.
This is not taking things too far. 😁😁😁 Love your setup! I hope to add motion too someday.
Thanks bro, much more content coming!
What a beautiful setup!! Looks really practical for a home sim, would love to imitate this to practice my checks!
Please do share how you modified your trust lever quadrant bro😍
Great video and awesome setup, it's cool to see you have such a complete flight sim setup at home.
Thank you, i’m very lucky!
This is most closest to my ideal setup... really beautiful
What an awesome set up! I came from a flight sim background, to F1 sims, and want to go back to flying sims, and hope to get a rig like this one day. Great to hear you are an Aussie as well (which explains the Melbourne track just above your screen), and great to see the LH44 poster.
Thanks mate!! I'm pretty proud of it! Stick around, much more to come!
That is one GREAT rig you have set up!
Great video mate. Enjoyed the watch. Epic setup
Thanks Mate! Glad you enjoyed it!! Collab soon!
ECAM displays look perfect.
Yo this is sick! I got my first flight hotas x today. Not much but still very cool!
Do you murder your whistleblowers? That would add a level of realism that just cant be beat.
What whistleblowers? I don't see no whistelblowers anymore O-O LOL
Looks fantastic! Well done my friend.
Thanks :D
This is really cool.. what I wanted to see was during landing you pulling the reverse handle
Awesome setup, you gotta have a blast on that thing.
It really is amazing fun!
Nice looking and functioning setup!
I really dig your motion sim setup, very compact looking design! I'm planning to build my own DIY style rig soon to compare my setup. You should definitely consider adding VR into your rig (if you haven't already)! VR flight using a stick is already exhilarating, I can't wait to try VR flight with motion feedback. After watching your video and seeing some of the additional haptic feedback and heave your seat uses has given me more ambitious ideas for my design. Cheers
no bro that's actually sick!
I'm jealous. I prefer to fly the Cirrus SR-22 around between Adelaide and Melbourne myself when I play the game, but I can only imagine how fun something like that would be to have a full motion cockpit. A bit out of y own price range, but I really appreciate the video and a envious of that set-up you've got going!
That ia Really Awesome Looking Forward!
thanks mate!
Absolutely nuts :) Great setup.
Thanks a lot!
maaaaaan this is awesome setup!
Very Impressive. I love it, looks like the real thing.🤜
i got my first airbus stick and it will be so much fun learning all about planes whit it
Love the videos, keep them coming bro!
Thanks! Coming soon!
Love your energy.
Man, you have an awesome setup. I was waiting on you to pull out a pre flight checklist. 😅😅😅😅
Haha, preflight checklists coming soon!
Nice setup. I love the Bravo quadrant
Thanks mate, stunning isn't it!
@@TheFlightDoc it is stunning. I’m a piston pusher and love hand flying a good twin knowing you can fine tune to get the most out of a pair fine radials. ❤️ thanks and please keep sharing… giving you a sub
Nice job Captain. This is exactly the flight simulator I want to get.
Thanks very much, i’ll try and do a more comprehensive video on the different set ups, glad you enjoyed the video, much more excitement to come 😁
Great video with all the info you need up to the prices.
thank you!
I just really love your passion mate, i can really feel it, just the way you talk ! #EnjoyIt
Hahah thanks bro, I do love it, appreciate the comment, please stick around!
Id love to see more of these but longer.
I've got quite a few more planned, including *hopefully* a new upload tonight
Excellent, a very beautiful passion !
I have actually just started my flight training as of this year. I have not flown since January for both financial and weather reasons. I just got Microsoft flight sim and built a computer that exceeds the recommended specs. I am not looking to create a full motion system, but I am using it to maintain all I learn during flight. For the price you spent on the sim, you could have gotten the license, at least in the US. Like the set up.
I sail in the same boat as yours. Wanted to become a pilot but could not complete my training. Now an engineer by profession. Those kind of system is my dream too. Kudos to you for coming up with such a beautiful system.
thanks a lot, keeping the dream alive!
@@TheFlightDoc yeah once you see this dream, it's difficult to let go
Great job, this video is very inspiring!
the ultimate hybrid rig🔥
Didn't make it as a pilot, fell back on to a trade, nice one!
You have put together a great setup there, congrats! 👍
Thanks good sir, much appreciated! Stick around for more :)
@@TheFlightDoc Yes, subscribed!
I do know little aviation, and you did great! Hope you become a pilot or a 1st officer in the cockpit!
I fly with the Honeycomb alpha and bravo controllers and love them!!!
How do you only have 268 subscribers? subbed.
Dude that’s amazing, love it bro
Thanks :D
Also, the sidewinder force feedback pro is a superior control stick.
I'm an aviation enthusiant (not a geek, yet). since child I collected some models and at played MFS 2000 ca year 2000-2005. I only used my PC monitor, keyboard and a joystick for flying. Like you, I ended being a med doctor.
Really neat setup. I hope you get the pedals working as they add a lovely amount of immersion when flying GA. I don’t touch them much on the A320 tho!
pedals incoming to this setup!
what a nice setup man. great job
Get yourselfe the A320 FBW or PMDG and FS Realistic . I guess that will improve your sim a lot.
Thanks for the tips! I'll get onto FS Realistic! Will be posting some PMDG videos - just started using the plane again, steep learning curve!
You mean Fenix A320?
Hi sir, with all that gear I recommend you getting the fenix 320. it behaves much better, looks better and if you ever want to learn a bit more a320 it goes into more detail. I know because I fly the real thing haha
This is awesome.. I love your story.. (Sounds like mine.. wannabe pilot tuned to healthcare).. looking forward to the future videos…
Ps the mini fcu is great will really add to your experience
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come!
Ps. I have a mini FCU and will be filming with it this week 😊
Amazing rig!
Glad you like it!
So cool i saw this on insta and wondered what the setup was
thanks for checking it out!
Nice setup..cheers from france!
Thank you!!
Loving the set up
Thanks mate!
I'd love the comments of a real pilot on this, preferably a big youtuber. Let them testfly this, you deserve the subscriptions!
Awesome setup!
Love your setup!! As a fellow medic who wanted to be a pilot and failed along the way your video really hit home! Have you completed your PPL? Or considered getting your private pilot's license, I'm in the process now and it's amazing to fly :). Would love to see more vids and get some inspiration for a flight sim build. Fair e-winds! :)
Hi-5 mate!
I have considered the PPL, but i’ve decided to pursue that after my specialty training is finished :)
Many more videos coming soon!
lol luv the enthusiasm!
Haha thanks!
looks like a killer set up dude
Thanks!
Great mate! fantastic
you definitely need a custom button box! Helps a TON on my rig
I may have made a full overhead panel using stream decks…
It's midnight and RUclips is suggesting I watch this, I'm not even into planes let alone Flight Sims, but after seeing your set up I might be hahaha
Ahaha glad I could help
Thanks for share and it give me idea how to switch from race to flight sim.
Nice set up!!!
I personally use joystick gremlin to combine the clutch pedal and throttle pedal. The brakes are too stiff 😅 maybe this is a sign that you need a clutch pedal
Looks dope bro!
Congratz bro!
thank you!
URRGGH! So at the bit we all wanted to see, "The landing!" and how the motion rig moves when reaching the runway it decides to switch off!!!😆🙅
Nice Rig though happy flying
Haha you’ll have to tune in for the next episode ;)
Awesome video ❤
Wow!!
"You've got a lot of neat toys.."
BLADERUNNER
I like this sim..
.
Hi there.. from an old time ( MSFS 2002 PROFESSIONAL EDITION ..) simmer..and garage full of "stuff"..
It never gets old..
I like it that you kept everything simple..
Maybe not cheap..but simple
All you need is some cannedJet A fuel smell and couple of AI flight attendants....making snide remarks..
And you're all set!!
Great Video..
Cya..
🐦
(Good day mate..)
Thanks mate for the lovely comment!!
I think I will need to get the jet a candle haha!
That spongebob eye cross meme is literally me right now between TheCarDoc and TheFlightDoc hahaahaha
hahaha thedoc universe
Nice setup bro from kenya
insanely cool
Damnnnn Nice setup!!!
well done great video but you need The Tobii Eye Tracker just to finish it off
I have a Tobii Eye Tracker! Works well when not using the motion system, but less well with the motion system! Will be trying TrackIR soon :)
I've been playing FS since the late 80s :). The level it has gotten to in popularity and gear/rooms around it is insanely cool. With my main love being music, my money went there. My wife would kill me if I wanted room just for FS :).
You could install the accessory (a small bar to attach to the screen) that adds touchscreen functionality to any flat monitor. But I'm not sure this accessory will work well on a 57 inch monitor. The one I saw on Amazon was for 13-27 inch monitors. As you said in the video, a touchscreen would be great for your setup.
Ooh, good idea..but might not work, i’ll look into it!
goals for real
What kind of hobby would it be if you didn't go too far?
To me, that IS part of the definition of hobby; You love what you're doing so much, you're gonna go overboard in some way sometimes. Lovin' the setup.
sweet set up
Thanks!
Bro is putting the doctor money to use💀
🤣
That's really cool man.
Thanks a lot!
