I have YET!.. to hear ANY country band today...or since then!.. who is as good as these guys were.. Great songs...THE BEST!.. steel and lead guitar...EVERYthing PERFECT for each song without sounding repetitious!... What a shame there is no one around today...as good!
Yes they did!...But I feel Jay Dee Maness...is the best I've heard...He used to be in the house band and the Palomino Club in North Hollywood (now gone)...and I've heard him for years!..when I'd be there about 3 times a week... He was also the top session man for Steel guitar..and...also played on the Dukes of Hazzard TV show music.@@takingchances9071
I absolutely love classic DRB! I am also greatful that country music has moved beyond the staged studio audience consisting of 100-somethings that sit motionless until the end of the song and then applaud politely on cue. The Desert Rose Band put on a great show here, and everyone in the audience should have been on their feet and singing along from the first note!
This audience had to have been glued into their seats! Why weren't they on their feet, cheering and singing along with such a great performance by the DRB?
I wore their music out on my cassette player in the 80's in my little Ford EXP. As a musician of many years, saw these guys live, and they are the real deal. Unfortunately, John Jorgenson had already left the band. Good show, but nobody can replace JJ. on guitar, or vocally. Country/country rock is dead to me these days.
I have never heard any stuff out of "Bakersfield" which was not good. That includes all the great bands from 60s , maybe some 50s. Tommy, Buck, Merle, HWY101, more and more. mosrite60
How knew, 33 years later a 23 year old is trying to figure out how to play this on guitar. Found this band from a videogame classic form 2004, Grand theft auto: San Andreas with the song One step forward. Anyways, it goes in: G - C - D - G - E - D - G.
Simply incredible musicians.....massively under rated.....
Agreed 👍💯

I wish country music was this great again.
Kelton King it never will be again as long as the forces that be are in charge.
Dude, this is so good! The stuff on the radio today is so cliche! These guys were the real deal.
Nice one!❤😂❤😂

What happened to Ralphie Baby? I wanted to se him intro Chris. Chris loves the camera.
I had no clue Dale Earnhardt Sr. could sing like that.
Who was that lead guitarist? It doesn't look like John Jorgenson.
Mark James Meli ......his G&L bearded phase. 😉
