THIS IS SO COOL! I love finding long dark content cause I started watching it about 3-4 years ago? I think. This really is giving me the courage to be more daring and play it more though, this video was really good!
Start playing again. I recommend not relying too much on maps either. It's so much fun to explore and learn. Once you master some of the game mechanics you can step up the skill level for an even greater challenge. Interloper requires map knowledge, great decision making, and decisive planning. It's the best survival game on the market IMO. 👌
@@chocolate_boba1 I have had some good runs on interloper, but right now I'm playing on voyager to learn the unknown maps better. Started in ash canyon and finally found the gold mine. Then I hit the peak of Timberwolf mountain. Just gonna focus on those harder regions to gain the map knowledge
It's finallyyyyy here! I appreciate all the sweet/funny comments on the last attempt so so much, and I'm so thankful to those who stuck around for this one. Hope it lives up to your expectations, and rest assured that after this there will be no more Pilgrim mode lol. More on that below! Eight months on since this was filmed, I've now become addicted to Interloper lol, have had a lot of long runs in it and can't imagine going back to Pilgrim, but this video was filmed in December/January when I was still learning. I very much cringed editing this and seeing my zero braincell moments, but I didn't want to just scrap the whole video, so here it is. If you're not interested in watching someone play in Pilgrim and make dumb decisions, that's fine! I'm going to be editing my 100 days in Interloper attempt next, so if that's more your style, feel free to come back for that. Alright, that's all; this is my last Pilgrim attempt and more challenging stuff will be up in the future! Thanks for watching. :)
Playing this game is equally valid no matter what difficulty you are on. I'm nearly 200 days into my latest interloper run and I still enjoy playing pilgrim. loved the vid. but are you sure going form pilgrim to interloper is a good idea. i would recommend at least trying stalker. I'm not one to judge though.
Something interesting is that at the end of the video on day 87, Jack finds a crashed plane in some trees. if you didn't know this and I'm sure plenty know already, if you have played the main story of the game, WinterMute. that plane is actually the main characters plane that crashes during the Geomagnetic storm that knocks out all the power. also for jack, you should totally do a full length series on the main story, or just keep pushing the amount of days you can go in the game. I got the game last night and it's really fun, good content.
@@ddm_gamer not entirely, there was just a geomagnetic storm across the majority of Canada and the US at the time they were arriving. There wasn't any electrical disturbances before that first super-storm.

pilgrim is the most realistic play through of them all with the exception of the bears and moose ignoring you, but the wolves part most defiantly they will leave you alone as long as you don't provoke them
the reason why wolves are so aggressive above pilgrim is because of the Auroras, they changed wildlife massively. That includes wolves. That's why they became so aggressive.

yayyyyyy, part two!! i’m so happy you continued this, and congrats on 100 days! this is so good so far, CRAZY that u started in coastal highway and then went through forlorn muskeg haha
I have really liked the solo survival mode but I loved the campaign most actually. I set my solo to custom and turned the wolves down because wolves aren't like that irl. They hate people and all known wolf attacks are little to none on people however I turned the hostility of the bears way up but turned their spawn rate way down. I kept most of the other settings the same. I played for 150 days and I only died due to falling while climbing in the areas above blackrock while having a crap ton of revolver ammo, the warmest coat and mukluks.
That's only if the wolves are used to humans though. In an apocalyptic setting, where humans are few and far between, there's a legit chance wolves might become more aggressive towards humans for lack of interacting with them.
@@matthewsmith4710 I am currently playing the game but I'm only up to chapter 2, though I've seen two references to the wolves being more aggressive in the story mode. One says since the "first flare" of the aurora that there seemed to be more frequent animal attacks, from either a menu screen or a scrap of a letter in-game, but there as well was an note i found in the farmers house that mentions a guy looking for his dog, finding it wounded by wolves, and him telling the farmer to be careful since the wolves seem to more populated because of fewer humans to keep their numbers in check. Even if that's all of the lore they have on it, it kind of makes sense. Maybe not as quickly as they turned but the game kind of insinuates that all of the animals have become more aggressive. In the part of the story I'm in now, we are kind of being hunted by a a huge feral bear.
I don't know why, but games like The Long Dark make me sad, especially when you have to see those of who didn't survive, alone in a world where everyone else (to your knowledge) has already died and you're alone trying your best to not end up like them.
Hey man, I love this! Thanks so much for making content about this game. I’ve always had a weird attachment to it, and this is definitely feeding my frenzy haha

Just before 2 minutes 55 seconds, if you happen to find the note over in desolation point I believe at the whale manufacturing place it mentions these two. I might be wrong on this although it would be an interesting scenario. Also thank you for showing bleak inlet it's one of the three zones I've yet to go visit
Good video, but a few things. 1. You start off with 30 kg of carry capacity and with the well fed bonus, technical backpack and moose sachel, it brings it up to 45 kg, which is a 50 percent increase, not double. Second, this is a suggestion, but when you go through water, just temporarily take your clothes off and put them back on when you're through. That way, you won't need to dry anything.
YES! For the entire duration of the video, I imagined the comment I would write practically begging for an interloper video. I was so happy when in the end I found out you were one step ahead of me.
YOO! I know this is a 3 month old video but If you have time you should definately put more videos out I personally found this one very intresting and chill and think there could be a niche for content such as this. Keep it up neonjack!
Really good video! I'm a huge TLD-Fan and it was a pleasure to see another person enjoying this gem. Great narration, great cutting, nice pacing. Consider yourself subscribed. Another 100 days in another game, hm? I would like to recommend you a few survival games where such an adventure is worthwhile ... 1.) Don't Starve (Singleplayer) - Kind of old, but still relatively rich of content. In the Singleplayer-Version there are 3 diferrent types of enviroments: The standard-world (Reign of Giants), a tropical world (Shipwrecked) and a sky-island world (Hamlet), each with there own enemies, craftingrecipes and survival-tactics. My favorite is shipwrecked though. 2.) Don't Starve Together The multiplayer-version of this game, but you can totally play it for yourself. It's based on Reign of Giants from the singleplayer, but got so. much. content in the last couple of years, that it become a standalone and even in 100 days you will not experience all things. It's great! 3.) Raft You start on a tiny raft in the middle of the ocean, followed by a shark. From this point, you collect trash from the sea to build up your raft to a seaworthy vessel. The game is finished, well rounded and got a story to tell! 4.) Green Hell Survive the rainforest. I didn't make it, tbh, but the game has a quite unique, realistic approach. 5.) The Forest Survival, but mixed with a good portion of horror and story. I liked it a lot! 6.) And last, but not least: Project Zomboid. Great game. Can not recommed it enough! Keep up your good work and I would love to see you survive another 100 days in another world!
loved this! i’ll definitely be checking out more of your videos. your voice is so calming and perfect for lets-plays. this was really fun to watch! your commentary + gameplay was wonderfully edited
I wanna see this play through done again and again but each time on a higher difficulty. Mostly because I want to see you deal with actually dangerous wolves lol.
cool vid but please, make the next video on a difficulty level higher than pilgrim. On pilgrim bears and wolves always run away from you unless you are really outnumbered and you get great loot everytime, gets booring quickly and the games tops being a survival game but instead a walking and eating simulator.
Man I played this a couple times it was SO fun I cant wait till I get it again you my friend probably just rekindled my love for this game have a sub :)
u have a bad day. Get a hot shover, snuggle up in bed and get realy comfy. Turn some decorative lights on and chill for a couple of minutes. Lay ur phone on the night stand next to ur bed. A couple of minutes fly by and u hear a notification sound. It's neonjack with 100 days the long dark. Watch it and apriciate it. Thanks for making my day
- So, what happens if you are already Hypothermic and then fall into the icy water? I feel like you would just cycle into the death screen at that point.
@@timppanorrgard33 - Hmmm, odd. I would have thought that your character being already Hypothermic, falling into the freezing water and getting all your clothes wet would pretty much kill you, kind of the same way if you get attacked by a bear with already less than 90% of your health is basically a death sentence, because when a bear attacks you, it brings you down to between 5% - 10% remaining health, so if you have already lost that 10% + then a bear attack basically kills you. And by comparison, I assume that the fall into ice when already suffering Hypothermic issues and health loss, kind of likely to make you dead before you can even get back out of the water.
Yooo! You followed through and did it! Are you gonna do a video on the Expansion Pass when it releases? I really love the style of these videos, so I hope you do

Sub from me. Love how you explain everything in detail without making it boring or repetitive, keep it up!😊 Can't wait to see your loper runs!
Yay Jack is back! Yes I started sing the one song from Nightmare before Christmas.
1.) Don't Starve (Singleplayer)
- Kind of old, but still relatively rich of content.
2.) Don't Starve Together
The multiplayer-version of this game, but you can totally play it for yourself. It's based on Reign of Giants from the singleplayer, but got so. much. content in the last couple of years, that it become a standalone and even in 100 days you will not experience all things. It's great!
3.) Raft
You start on a tiny raft in the middle of the ocean, followed by a shark. From this point, you collect trash from the sea to build up your raft to a seaworthy vessel. The game is finished, well rounded and got a story to tell!
4.) Green Hell
Survive the rainforest. I didn't make it, tbh, but the game has a quite unique, realistic approach.
5.) The Forest
Survival, but mixed with a good portion of horror and story. I liked it a lot!
6.)
And last, but not least: Project Zomboid.
Finally some new, young and pelgrin gameplay of this game. I'm tired of all interloper videos lol
Love The Long Dark videos. Keep up the great work💪
I wanna see this play through done again and again but each time on a higher difficulty. Mostly because I want to see you deal with actually dangerous wolves lol.
that's in the works! currently editing an interloper attempt :)
@@NEONJACK guess I have to stay tuned then
I love your content! Your vibes are impecable aswell!
Honestly wish they'd expand more or do a sequel. This was actually a great game.
It’s a shame you didn’t see the desolation point light house during an aroura, it’s breathtaking.
this is THE BEST long dark video I’ve ever seen :D
You have inspired me to do my own Lon mg Dark content hopefully one day I can become as big as you
Just found this video and I'm definitely going to rewatch this when there's a lot of snow out :)
Super relaxing video, thank you!
cool vid but please, make the next video on a difficulty level higher than pilgrim. On pilgrim bears and wolves always run away from you unless you are really outnumbered and you get great loot everytime, gets booring quickly and the games tops being a survival game but instead a walking and eating simulator.
been watching/playing this game since like 2015 and i’ve never lived 100 days in one game lol
I can’t believe I watched the whole thing, this was very entertaining, thank you!
Man I played this a couple times it was SO fun I cant wait till I get it again you my friend probably just rekindled my love for this game have a sub :)
I luv your channel keep up the amazing work up :)
This is the kind of gameplay I WISH I could do. Nice job 👏 👍
When I go to desolation point, I always make my temporary base in that lighthouse.
u have a bad day. Thanks for making my day
real
this is so sweet wtf 😭💕 thank YOU for making my day!!
No wolf or bear attacks! All ran spooked!
You are awesome dude. Love your editing and very calm funny voice.
I was waiting for this :)
I started out and saw the lighthouse in the distance I'm currently next to the stove hoping I don't die of hypothermia😂
if ice brokes under you, you cant die you only get wet thats tip
- So, what happens if you are already Hypothermic and then fall into the icy water? I feel like you would just cycle into the death screen at that point.
@@Arthaius then if you fall just nothing hapens XD
@@Arthaius yes i know its so stupid but you dont die XD
This is good vidoe nice to see someone playing the long dark.
Love it! Keep these videos coming cause they are super fun to watch! Also your voice reminds me of the guy who impersonated the vegan teacher😂
Here's a tip to help you get better at the game: With every run you do, adjust the difficulty settings to make them just a little harder
i love your videos on tld keep up the good work:)
Yooo! You followed through and did it! Are you gonna do a video on the Expansion Pass when it releases? I really love the style of these videos, so I hope you do
Great vid my guy i also just wanted to say you have a very soothing voice and i greatly appreciate that , i hope one day you voyage beyons pilgrim maybe some of the higher levels they provide great challenge and really enhance the game world especially after day 30 onwards! But anyway great content keep it up
I think you should make a theory video where you theorise and try to figure out what caused the apocalypse
I absolutely loved this video. thanks
Amazing video I’m currently on one of my longest saves yet which is at about day 100
I had a guy at 389 days on Interloper and i went to walk over the giant ravine bridge, got careless crossing the gap and fell to my death...........ugh....
Good job! Keep up the great work
neonjack is back and he is very hungry for wolves
Can confirm that this is a average Canadian winter
Doesn't matter you played on Pilgrim Jack, its the best way to learn the game and the maps...:)
