- The slow feeder is something that I have found has made such a difference to Lenny's eating habits. Prior to purchasing this bowl off Amazon, he used to eat his food in 20 seconds, stomach extremely distended and remained hungry.
He now stays fuller for longer, stops begging for food and seems to enjoy the challenge of trying to get the food. (as you can see by the video)
He is a a sliver dapple, with tan markings.

That is a very cool idea to slow down fast eating. Our 2 doxies gulp their food down so fast I think they inhale it sometimes. You puppy is so precious thank you for the video.

Oh he’s a beauty and that is a very good idea the slow feeder. I’m very interested in this type of thing as I’ve had taken an animal welfare for a number of years on and off.
My vet told me that dachshunds will eat until their stomachs explode. He raises dachshunds, so you are definitely doing the right thing! I have a 13 year old mini dachshund and he still eats like he's starving...even after he has finished his meal he'll act like he hasn't eaten at all...!
I saw your video last month and went out and bought those. They are the best slow feeder bowl for our dachshund who eats his food under 30s. He now takes at least 3 mn and chews every piece. Thank you.

I have the exact same pup, two actually. Feeding really is a problem with them pretending to be industrial hoovers. She's been heavily bloated the past two nights. I actually just ordered two similar bowls. Until they arrive, I'll just have to give them each a few pellets at a time. What a treat they are though, so incredibly cute!

I have had a slow feeder for one of my mini dachshunds for a couple years now. He use to have the worst gas because he ate so fast. I love it. He gets annoyed sometimes when the kibble rolls away from him.

So cute. My dog ate so fast too that he got fat. Then I bought him this " Slow Feeder Dog Bowls Heavy Duty "( search term on amazon ) and it effectively helped my dog eat as slowly as about 8 minutes and successfully keep fit and avoid bloating, choking or throwing up.
My beagle has a slow feeder he used to get really frustrated with it and he would tip the bowl over and eat it off the floor, he soon got over it though and he uses it fine now
These slow feeders help to make a game out of eating . . . which gets him thinking about how to eat his food . . . . the only problem with these feeders they are fiddly to clean.

My dachshund beagle mix downs her food so fast and barfs after almost every meal. I have split up feeding her to 4 smaller meals and she still barfs and burps constantly after 😪 I need to get this bowl 🙏
That would have been great for my late, beloved Dena cat. Sometimes, when I came home late, she would gobble her food in anger, throwing up. ❤

Where I used to work there was a guy that used to eat a slice of pizza just like a dog he swallow it whole

Dachsunds are notorious for wolfing food down. Who knows why they do it..

I ate a miniature dachshund once. To be honest it didn’t fill me up, so I reverted to full size ones. Much better.
