I’ve gotten so many points from solo boss Snikrot and 1 unit of ork Kommandos. Usually the kommandos die in turn 2 but it’s a great way to get the other player to commit a big chunk of their army to a specific objective. I never have Snikrot lead them though since he has lone operative and is so much better at avoiding damage and teleporting around scoring points.

@@Mud9 usually I put him on the middle objective and calm the Waaagh turn 1 if my opponent goes first. That way they are hesitant to get too close and they usually can’t kill him before the bigger and scarier things get closer. He’s also great for scoring points with secondaries in the mid board and the enemy deployment zone since you can put him wherever he needs to go, though usually I use a solo Wierdboy to do a suicide run for points if something like deploy teleport homers comes up.

One underrated infiltrator combo is the Navy Breachers attached to a Rogue Trader Entourage. Unexpectedly throwing out a mortal wound bomb with their buffed grenades strategem, followed by a demolition charge, a couple spicy pistol shots and a meltagun, then being a little better in combat and longer lasting than you might expect has helped me swing a few games.
Is it points efficient? Almost certainly not. Is it fun? Hell yes.

My opponent tried to fly him right up the middle of the board, and because he couldn't make an initial move far enough over my Aeldari Rangers, he found himself stuck in combat with them. If I can get first turn, it is nice to get tons of stuff into engagement range of enemy shooting and tie it up in combat so it can't blast my army (which is very light on shooting) to bits as I move up the field.

When the new Mandrakes come out, I'm thinking of NOT infiltrating with them, because of their Fade Away rule. Deploy them safely in the back on turn 1, let the enemy move forward, then use that teleport to get into their corners. Fade away doesn't have the 9" from the enemy deployment zone rule, so I'm thinking of keeping them safe until there is a gap to score secondaries. It's budget deep strike.

Mr.Auspex when comparing infiltrators to deep-strike units is there a specific one that would be better for the movement and control of the board, for example flayed ones in comparison to death marks. If deploying for objectives or the midboard I think it might be worth deploying just off target. That way you can react more to mission cards e.g if you draw something like deploy teleport homers can nudge in and complete it but if your opponent gets first turn and then draws something like overwhelming force and has to clear models off you haven’t left them an opportunity before you get any benefit
