In this video I will show you how to retrofit/ retro code TMPS system that utilizes the cars wheel speed sensor. The system that will code is using RPA not RDC. All you need to do this is INPA and NCSEXPERT. If you need help installing INPA and NCSEXPERT. Check this link out: • HOW TO CODE YOUR BMW U...

    Are you a member of the ZHP Mafia forum? did you contribute any to that thread for retrofitting the MK60 TPMS speed sensor based monitoring system? DId you mention at all that though most MK60 will support this, only the early coding index units from 2003 ZHPs and the m3 coding index variant of the e46 M3 MK60 module will support the button OR if you get an MK60 module from a parts car that came with TPMS from the factory.
    for a lot of people that do this they will have a TPMS system that works partially, and when they get the indicator for low pressure, the button wont reset the system and they will need to use INPA to reset the system.

    • @EvanGoyuk
      @EvanGoyuk  4 года назад

      You are not bothering me I am here to help my friend! No so the RPA system uses the wheel speed sensors to find out if one tire is lower than the others it compares the revolutions of the tire. The only thing you could add is the tire button reset because if not you have to use inpa to reset each time.

      @@EvanGoyuk thanks reply...
      When i checked RPA informations on Google. There are not many informations about E39 series (Most of RPA or RDC is about M5). And i found out. If i want to use RPA, i have to RPA module.
      I just want to know below Q.
      *Not buying RPA Module?
      *Only need for coding?
      ● in fact,
      I already installed INPA and EXPERT.
      and i can use it a little.
      So. For setting tire value, i don't need
      another switch for reset.

    Ho Evan
    Once the AKMB file is modified, renamed and coded, do i need to delete the TRC and MAN files before reading/writing the MK60 module?

    • @EvanGoyuk

      No, NSCEXPERT will write over the file and clear it out

    • @markperez6195
      @markperez6195 5 лет назад +1

      Evan Goyuk
      Thanks Even. Got a question on this retrofit. The older E46’s (99-00) appear to not have an “AKMB” module but use a “KMB” module. I was unable to read the AKMB due to a COAPI 2062 error but the KMB is fully readable. The KMB TRC file does not have the line CAN_RDC or CAN_RDS and i do not have an MK60 module either.
      My car is a 2000 model, production date 12/99. I read through the ZHP Mafia thread you posted but no other E46’s besides ZHP’s did this modification.
      Darn, i was really looking forward to get this working on my 328ci.

    • @EvanGoyuk
      @EvanGoyuk  5 лет назад

      Hmm let me do some research. I do not have a zhp. I have a 2002 bmw 330ci.

    • @markperez6195
      @markperez6195 5 лет назад +1

      Evan Goyuk Ok. Let me know if you find a way. I am researching as well. My car has an MK20 module. I read out and saved copies of all the module files. My MK20 does not have the data line required to modify specified for the MK60 module
      With coding 3 of the 4 required lines (CAN_RDS or CAN_RDC are not in my cars KMB module read) to my KMB module, the TPMS icon lights up on the dash but it stays on all the time. Tried the reset through INPA but that does nothing.
      Can the line my KMB module file doesn’t have be added along with the line thats modified in the MK60 be added to the MK20?

    • @THE46GUY
      @THE46GUY 5 лет назад

      @@markperez6195 if you have an e46 that oly allows the reading of KMB and not AKMB.. that means you have an older e46 usually with the round connector in the hood which also means you do not have an MK60 module thus this wont even work for you. you need an MK60 DSC module, the MK60 resides driver side under the booster/MC and is usually on face lift e46 M3 2003.5 and above, all e46 ZHP cars coupe/vert/sedan and late model e46 cars. older e46 and XI/AWD e46 have either MK20 (RWD) or Bosch 5.7 systme both which reside in the drugbin passenger side area.
      Also its a better idea to use NCS Dummy in conjunction with NCS Expert. nCS dummy will show all information from your trace file in english AND when you are done modifying the trace file with your option and choosing export to MAN file...you use NCS Expert to write your MAN file to your module and when NCS Dummy closes it asks you if you want to clear out the MAN file and you say YES.
      Reason this is important.... NCS Expert default setting is SG-Coderiedn which is WRITE.. if you have an OLD MAN file lingering and you accidently hit execute with at MAN file in place, you coulc potentially write data for the wrong module OR incorrect old out of date module data.

    It's not tire pressure monitoring, it is run flat monitorin called WDS or RPA. RDC need sensors in tires. This one works via DSC and warn you when your tyre have no pressure. RDC (tire pressure monitoring) works different. If pressure change from fe. 2.4bar to 1.8bar then it warn you.
