I've driven both and own a fa5 k series engines just seem to feel like they don't have to try as hard. It shows in the video. K all day great video man.
If they were weighted the same and the bseries had a 2.0 stroker kit with a 5.0 fd and a long 3rd that race would have had a better play but it was awwesome to see awaesome as always DannyDc2!!!
I like the shift linkage in the b series and the trans.. k series not a fan of the shift box or trans although I do like that it's a 6spd and the k series is updated

Very good video. There's b-Series engines that can embarrass the K series, but at the end of the day the K is the better engine. Has all the improvements the b series lacks. But.. I personally like to own the b18c better though.
I recently owned a JDM DC2 type R integra and now have a JDM DC5 type R and i can honestly tell you the K20A is far better than the B18 in every single way. A far superior engine

They are far from the performance of a JDM K20a which has 217hp and a factory 8500rpm limiter which is easily raised to 9000rpm with a tuned ecu. There have been multiple comparison videos done by none other than Keiichi Tsuchiya himself pitting the DC2R against the DC5R and the DC5R is faster in every way. And in terms of modifications the K series makes far more power per mod over a B series. Have owned both a DC2R and a JDM import EP3R, once you go K youll never go back to a B series.

Ive seen k20a pull 30whp more than the b18c7 mod for mod (intake, header, exhaust, tune) not knocking on the b series, its a legendary engine and can still hold its own very well, just out dated by today's standards compared to a K series.

Olly's Integra's turn-in is insane! What is this attributed to? Spring rates? Alignment? Steering ratio?
It's mainly down to alignment, spring rates are pretty similar. I'm running a fair bit negative camber up front with toe out at both end.

K20 is lighter... the gearbox is slightly heavier than a B series box though (it is bigger, 6 speed), so the weight ends up being about the same.

Power and torque are about the same mate... I am lighter though! (about 50kg)

C Swiss with all do respect they are both great. Mate the b18 to the same 5.1 final 6 speed tranny and it would be very close.
K car is a good bit lighter with gearing advantage. Obviously it's going to accelerate quicker.

Speedo goes to 180kmh on JDM DC2, as it's the speed limit in Japan! (or was at the time)
It has japanese cluster so it's only 180km/h on the clock.
