Having owned both dc2/5 (My 1st car 97 LS teggy, sold it after 3 years so I could attain my then dream car 03 type S) God I loved both those cars. Thanks for the nostalgia trip down memory lane. Wrecked in 2013. Been craving vtec 8k redline ever since. Kswaping something will continue to stay on the bucketlist. Almost have pulled trigger on 8th gen SI but prices n knowing still not as cool as my type S imo decided against it. Bought a veloster N very happy with it. Also have 2 bolt on tuned wrxs (2016 bagged show car and 2011 winterbeater). Could we get video on rexs/evos? Ctr, SIs , miatas Colin McRae/ tommy M etc. Keep em coming!

As a Honda head and an Integra nerd, I approve of this message. I've owned 2 DA9s, a DC5, and now a DB8 SiR/GS-R. Before you ask what's a DB8, it's a GS-R sedan.
The B series scream to 8400 is nothing like anything else especially coming from mainly single cams in Accords and Civics. It's really something to behold.

Great car.. definitely hands down one of the best of its era
Great video. I have been lucky enough to have owned my 96 JDM ITR DC2 now for about 18 years. It is an amazing machine. No other car has given me such joy to drive or a better driving experience, and I have owned many cars, including a beautiful AP1 S2000 I owned for about 3 years - I'm so guted I sold that car now! My Integra has a Turbo and is running 359 BHP and 276ft-lb's. At 1120 kgs, it is fairly quick.

sure wish I could have picked up a DC2R when they were new or barely used. Never could afford one. I'll make do with my 1994 DC2 GSR, at least I have that. 22 years ownership, 385,000 miles, all original drivetrain. Slowly trying to restore most of its OEM parts.
Also of note, the DC2 chassis itself debuted in 1993 as a 93.5 model in Japan, and a 1994 model in the US. The DC2 Integra Type R debuted in 1996 in Japan, but it was the same chassis code as the Integra GSR, for reasons unknown, especially since Honda used a unique chassis code for the Civic Type R, the EK9.
You & me both Patrick, but hey a 94 GSR is pretty darn cool in itself! I myself have nearly saved up enough for a clapped out, rusted, rebuilt title, 96 JDM DC2R with non matching body parts with no drivetrain. Dreams do come true haha.

I have a mint 1999 GSR that is highly modified, "Type R Clone" of sorts that I beat mercilessly and take it occasionally to the circuit track! I really enjoy watching your videos, and congratulations on your work! Keep them coming, please!!! 👊🏽

Hope you love it. GSR unmodified r worth money .....There's a lot more to the itr then making it look like one.. the body and the driving is just completely different from a regular teggy.. from a dc2 type rx owner 1999

Had one of these (UK Dc2 type r model) for 16 years as a daily driver. Was a great car but the rust was the thing which destroyed it. Mine was standard but I used to love the engine noise.
Everytime I think of selling mine and then I go for a drive I immediately snap out of it

The narrator must have been an A student in creative writing. To the point, I lusted after the DC2, it was just too damn expensive for me when it came out, now the current civic type R is going for over $50k, but has lost some of the magic that was the Honda in the 90’s. Awesome glimpse into the past!

Dude, you know Dc2 was created on the ej2, ej1 floor plate, so if there was no ej2 there would be no dc2.
The dc2 was based off the NSX type platform

This video was made by someone who doesn't really know much about the cars. It wasn't a "the world was on the edge of its seat" deal, it was more of a "if you know, you know" type of car. If you really want to know more about the car, watch Donut Media's "up to speed on the integra type-r" . It isn't 100% either, but much more informative than what's in this video.
This video does have a good collection of clips though. I turned off the audio and listened to my music instead.
Having owned a DC2R and a DC5 (Type-S) previously, I am completely familiar with the vehicles but this being one of my first attempts at creating a RUclips video, I chose to jazz it up a bit and not make it so technical. Nevertheless, I appreciate the criticism in the quest to create better content.
