Mike, John, and the fellas brings me back during those times . My 20 yr old son doesnt understand what we did back then 😁 .I am in the hunt for a 4th gen Prelude agian.
Type r’s are so good with a gsr transmission! I use to have one with a gsr transmission and it was fast! Bought the whole swap in 2012 for 3,000. Wish I never sold it 😔
Nice video and nice work guys.Always bringing me back to my honda days in the 90s with my 1992 SI AWS Prelude and 1990 CRX .i was always under the hood . Hope to see a 4th Gen Prelude some day on your channel .
Very minor, but I noticed the splash guards are matte black plastic. They were Championship White back in the day, at least in Canada. Looks cleaner when color matched.
Absolutely amazing as always guys. But what about the distributor o-ring that likes to dry out and start leaking, it looks like you did a ton of preventative maintenance. I'd try to include that o-ring., again amazing as always.
Super glad you all posted this. I have a DB8 Type R and need to do a timing belt. I have watched other videos but wasn't sure if the engine mount would clear the AC line with it being different on the RHD. This answers that! Curious what sockets you all are using?
Nice video again! I have a 98 ITR that has the temp needle that drops under rev or hard acceleration. I've then replaced the thermostat with an oem one and bled the cooling system with the spill-free funnel (no bubble at idle, but if I rev it, some arises). The radiator is a Koyorad. What could it be or what could I look at next? Thanks!
have done so many of these timing belts in my life and never would i ever put hondabond on the water pump gasket, its unnecessary and sucks for the next guy who has to clean it off.
Just out of curiosity with older cars do you usually use Honda bond on the water pump? I remember on the TL someone mentioned their machine finished , so I was just wondering. Beautiful car , excellent work hopefully one day I can bring my civic or TL up 🙏🏽
Other don't but we do. As cars get older, the mating surface often times have imperfection. By laying a thin coat of Honda Bond, it fills the gap if there's any. Plus it's a good insurance
I appreciate the content. I just ordered some Mugen engine mounts so looking forward to that. How hard was the rear mount to get access to, and how much of a difference in feeling once replaced?
Do you guys have any experience with the hardrace engine mounts with the hardened rubber? I always wondered how those feel in comparison to the OEM mounts.
Probably a bit easier on the ITR than the GSR. I just recently snagged an OEM Honda rear mount for my GSR, direct from Japan. It’s going to be a major PITA to install with the dual runner intake manifold!
@@b18c5turbogt35r that requires other supporting mods that I’m not interested in, though. My engine is at 388k miles all original and I’m keeping it that way. Plus, when those IAB’s open at 5,600 rpm it just sounds badass!
Those separate lower covers on each side look weird. Is that a RHD thing? Wonder why it’s 2 pieces instead of the one piece all the way across like USDM cars?
If only all service advisor and technician relationships were this wholesome. Lol
Right on!!
I love when you guys work on Dc2’s or the eg chassis best years of Hondas era
Thank you very much!!
So sweet Honda 😎
LOOK HOW CLEAN THAT IS!!!!!!!!

The nice thing about the clips is that they are without music. Thank you for this step
Oh yeah! So nice. Drives nice and factory now with those fresh mounts
Learned something today. I didn’t know 98-up came with Carbon fiber spark plug cover from factory.
Nice car.
JDM did. USDM had the silver/gray one for all years
DC2 yesss! Can´t wait for more videos on this beauty
Stay tuned for next week!!
The massive smile on Mike's face on the first test drive is why I love these cars lol
I love it keep the B series alive 💪💪💪 Eddie here watching from Guam
Great video! More DC2 content 👍🏼
God that car is my dream type R. I love my fk8. But the OG DC2 is the iconic type R.
Literally just did this exact job on my Jdm ITR goodjob guys!
Beautiful condition Type R 👌

Right on!
Why is the gsr trans better than the type r one? I’m not too familiar with honda’s transmissions so I’m curious

Still Perfect
Agreed!
another DC2 R series! I love it, keep up the great content guys! looking forward to see more
great video , thanks for sharing this gem.
Very minor, but I noticed the splash guards are matte black plastic. They were Championship White back in the day, at least in Canada. Looks cleaner when color matched.
They didn't come color-match for USDM either. We will be doing the optional side skirts and rear valances, so they will be removed soon enough
My 97 ITR came with matte black splash guards (from CA)
Needs a short ram intake.. Elevate that Vtec engagement sound 👍
Most people don’t like losing power. A Mugen carbon fiber air box with the lower intake duct would be better, and much higher OG JDM bling points. 😂
Geez I miss that vtec crossover
Why we love Hondas!!
Acura lifestyle❤❤❤❤❤❤
All it needs now is dry iced. Looks good.

Driving on the 'Right' side.👍
Great work Guys too scared to try the V-tec 😂😂😂😂

Have you inspect or replace the engine temperature sensor at the cylinder head?
@@ahcgarage thanks for writing back! Is that the sensor on the thermostat housing?
So no valve adjustment for the service , or was that performed when valve cover gasket was replaced ?

im convinced that you are the GM to this dealer and these are you minions working on your cars that you buy

wish I could bring my RHD type S to you guys
Thanks for that!
Where are they located?
@@chrisH-uv5wx I believe Florida
Hey brother about to buy a jdm itr . I heard finding parts like rear breaks can be tough any recommendations on upgrades replacement
Where's the music at that was the best part
Do you guys have any experience with the hardrace engine mounts with the hardened rubber? I always wondered how those feel in comparison to the OEM mounts.
yes rear motor is a pain when motor is still in
Certainly not something we look forward to do haha!!!

@@Patrick94GSRnice!! I had my ‘94 GSR until 299,000 miles and then sold it still running strong. I miss that car everyday
When you open a Honda Classic Garage in Italy?? 😁🤩
I need to do this exact repair on my clutch system for my JDM Integra.. can you share the part numbers you sourced for this job?
It was odd to shift with left arm, took me couple months to get used to😅😅
Nice 😋
Link to the master? Need to get one
Will be up soon

👍
what exhaust is on that integra?
You driving wrong side 😂
Ha!
That’s crazy to me that the spoon and stock parts look the same
Do these guys be open to the public? Or you gotta be lucky and be chosen to be featured?
👍🏻🇺🇸
