I love the fact that you have a mechanic looking at the cars, if I could understand what he's saying it would be so much better.
siliconsoulman it would be nice if he would let the mechanic actually speak. 😂
Really appreciate all the effort that goes into these videos, and the useful info that regular folks can use. Not to mention the fun interaction with Turbo-owskii.
I have had my Murano for 6 months now. it is my daily commuter and i love it. I have had zero issues with it. couldn't be happier. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a great comfortable car that has enough bells and whistles where you don't need to go to a luxury brand to obtain them.
How is it now after 3 years?
That blue subaru outback has been in the workshop in so many turbowski vids its almost as if its a set prop...
I know Im pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Makai Noe Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it!
@Harold Daxton Happy to help :)
Man you you really create awesome videos. I can't believe you don't have more views. Great job!!!!!!!
60k in and I still love the Murano. One of Nissans best vehicles..
Think I should get one? Is it true that the transmission is really bad? Pls answer, I’ll see check the car tomorrow
I like the social dynamics between you two. Getting all the mechanical points across with some comedy along with it. Keep it up!
Mr Bobby Brown that’s so good to know! I’m looking at buying a used 2015 and was wondering if there are any concerns I should know about?
@@donnamcleod522 What is good to know? Your comment has nothing to do with my comment lol
Sorry, I typed my reply to the wrong person. Sorry.
The last part of the whole 20:55 review change my mind buying MB,.
Thanks for the review its the best review of murano ive ever watch.
Your reviews are awesome! well done!
I really appreciate this review! I’m not a mechanic nor do I know a lot of the technical language so I had to look some things up but this review was by far the easiest one to follow, so thank you for that. I’ve never owned a Nissan car and I took a 2015 Murano for a test drive and this helped me understand the capabilities of the car. Thank you!
This is the best automotive channel on RUclips.
Underrated channel very insightful l, and organic
Nice images! Very good review! Congrats!
Great review! I love how your reviews are so well rounded and not a marketing pitch like some channels on youtube. No tacky one liner corny jokes either. I have a '14 Tiguan and I like the fact that for a small crossover/ big hatchback it feels nimble and love the 2.0T. If I wanted to get something slightly larger in a few years would this be comparable?
Thanks! I think the Murano is good for a softer, comfortable more luxury like ride. Along with upscale interior. If you want a more sporty handling SUV this may not be it.
I love these videos! :D
one of the best shoppe segments
All you have to do it hold the Moon roof button in place for 3 seconds and it will reset back to normal operation.
LOL they are so funny but super helpful as I'm looking for 2015-2018 muranos. Thank you!
Good review and thanks for sharing
Thank you for this . I just bought one for me and my 2 kids is comfortable soft and beautiful 🥰👌🏻
Great review. Lol'd at the BMW parked in a handicap spot, just like one in the real world.
Biker Jim he is living and filming in the real world I think
Omg only in watching this video that I know of the Murano Convertible 😱
Great review, how would you compare that to a Acura RDX, pretty much same specs, but would like your opinion. Love all the comments, the "under" the car look and detailed comments.
Awesome 👏 review
II like how he filmed the geese flying overhead at the head, nice ending.
this is very good review
Great review. Comfort does look fantastic. Too bad about the flimsy trim pieces, Honda and Toyota still do that stuff the best. My 15 year old RX 300 has still feels absolutely solid, not sure this would be the same.
Thanks for your details 👍👍👍
Got a 2015 Murano Platinum. Hated the exterior styling when it came out, but it grew on me when seeing other Murano's on the road and test driving it.
This CVT is much better than previous ones (brother owns a 2010 Maxima), barely noticeable as its pretty close to a traditional transmission.
I previously owned a 2011 BMW X5 and while driving wise, the X5 is by FAR superior, the seat/space comfort of the Murano is better than the X5 in my opinion.
You do have some poor visibility out the back and the 'A' pillar but thats not a big deal as long as you use the mirrors, the cameras and the safety features.
After driving it for a couple of months, I probably would go with the 18'' wheels cause the 20'' wheels gives you a lil harsher ride especially out here on the NYC roads. Otherwise, its pretty quiet in the cabin.
The x5 definitely has a more aggressive response for all inputs (except the brake pedal, why??), but in the same breath, the Murano is hilarious to drive for me since the steering is so light and the AWD carries it through a corner with much more speed than you expect.
What if you have 4 or 5 people in the vehicle? Does it feel sluggish? All the RUclips reviews always show one person driving the vehicle but they don't show how the vehicle performs when it is loaded with passengers or if the air is at full blast on a hot summer day.
Not to mention if you’re loading it
What you said at the end is why I bought one
Over-all best review (Nissan Murano) I would buy the vehicle just because of the front leg room alone, but the NO feel the the steering kind of scares me.
Redline Reviews really needs to take some notes on how to do shoots of cars from you. Always great intros
Cant wait for a full review of the new Ford GT 350
You didn't talk about price. But, what I really want to know, how long did you have to wait to get that geese flyover in the last sequence? It worked really well.
+Steven Poleske Actually the entire time I was filming they were flying in from all over. The tester was 43k. That is topped out.
My moms 2013 Altima has the same trim. It was scuffed up within a week of use. This is something Nissan needs to address with the next gen cars. No more shiny plastic "piano black" trim.
If you do "piano gloss" is should not be in a high traffic area.
+savagegeese I have 100k miles on my 2014 altima and my piano black still looks good. I'm not easy on my car either
Watched his after the last vid was loaded I notice that the introduction to Scott most be A Garage far far away because the music sounded like Star Wars. Features include steering wheel door handles I like sounds like Chewbaccas toothbrush which is stuck by Princess Lisa nipple tugs.
I disagree on your CVT comment Hondas CVT is cablibrated pretty good. Dat center stack is lookin smexy something about this echos thru out my psychological more then the CRV, RAV 4, I'll also continue to ignore Mazda. Time to check out Acura, Audi, and Lexus crossover who knows I might look over at vague Caddy. Also make sure you include the Cubic Savage Geese Feet trunk measurement wise I'm guessing it's a couple centimeters bigger then the Honda Fit.
How come you turned off traction control when you went manual?
Used to work at Nissan R&D UK, we did the Russian variant for this car, you're spot on with this review.
One thing, the roof control is stupid, you have to give a light tough to get the roof to move all the way back, there's two stages to the switch, short and full press, it's really not obvious and very easy to miss.
Any thoughts on the BOSE sound system?
+Thomas Allen Thanks, I actually tried every type of touch on the switch, light hard, tickling it. And I had everyone who was in the car try it. That's the only reason I said it was broken. The Bose system is average honestly. It's not bright enough, does not have the EQ settings either like many of the other cars with Bose.
CVTs are good in stop/go/crawl traffic, where you don't have to suffer the transmission continuously switching between first and second.
True
I know this is 2 years late but please
Someone agree with me that it slightly resembles an rx350
I think a lot of nissans are taking design ques from lexus vehicles.
StillNotTellingYouMyName the Murano came out first in 2015 since 2016 and other companies stated copying it.
Have you noticed that the transmission starts rumbling whenever the engine rpm hits 1000? It sounds like a bass speaker putting out a low bass all the time. I can't believe nobody ever mentioned this problem on all the RUclips reviews of this car and on all the written reviews except caranddriver mentioned it briefly by stating there is an annoying exhaust boom the reverberates throughout the cabin when the engine is at 1000 rpm. This is the single most annoying power train problem that nobody seems to mention. I know this because I own a 2015 platinum.
Huh, I haven't noticed personally. I'll look for it next time, but otherwise it may be poor quality control.
This and Ford Edge is at top of their class.
My lady looked over my shoulder and was like “are we gonna watch that movie when it comes out?”
I really do think it's a very attractive car. It's not pretty, but it's really bold and will catch your attention. I don't know if it will age well, but it'll get people in the showroom for now
I dont think it will age well. Its like the new Maxima I always notice it but just does not have a classic look.
+savagegeese Agreed
4:50 I wish my car had steering wheel door handles.
I like the muranos look but would never get a CVT transmission.
Hi Scott, is the model reviewed in the video a new car or old one, I am asking coz the silencer pipes and some parts under the car are with some rust on them.
+Amar Toraskar It's a 2015. Can't wait to see it after a few winters.
hi. i like you to Review the Nissan Rogue 2017 please. love you program
was this done after your class in new york? do u use your phone as a microphone? u always have it in the shot
+DieselDan09 I think he should do a 60 minute explaining why the phone is always in his hand.
+DieselDan09 Remote Control ;)
+DieselDan09 I attempted to hide the phone more in the video. It is how I control camera functions as said. This video was post NYC.
+Scott P Its for selfies, DUH
+savagegeese Need more FRS videos with H swap and 1,000HP
12:17 - indeed all CVTs that keep rpms high during acceleration sound like a motor boat.
Lol, @ 11:28, that awkward moment when you expect it to shift
The 3.5 V6 makes the Murano great. Hope Nissan never puts its POS 4 cyl in the car. Speaking of which, the Rogue should have the same V6 instead of the underpowered POS 4 cyl.
my point exactly
3:11 it’s a Nissan design. My 2023 Altima has the hood gal because the hood design line goes into the door and creates a body line
I work with a lot of females and 3 out of 5 middle aged women love this thing. If I sold cars I would keep at least 3 in stock. take care!
how many miles on this particular car? how long has it been in service as a test car? the exhaust piping between the stainless steel mufflers look my 11 yo GTI's pipes. also, that 3rd muffler section is nice until that joint rusts together or the pipe rusts through on the engine side of that joint (ask my Pathfinder (PF) how I know). I have to admit, I actually laughed a little bit during the turbowski bit...Aluminum suspension piece on the front, but not on the rear, as far as the arms are concerned...what is the sticker on this vehicle? would lesser trims be acceptable or are you forced to go with higher trims to get that "luxury" feel?...Agree, the CVT kills it for me on just about every vehicle I'm looking at to replay our 11 yo PF. So, with that, the Mazda CX-5 is our number 1 contender, which is fine by me. Any CX-5s in your near future?
K03sport cx5? You can't compare that junk to a Murano.
Ps your tester is broken. Moonroof should auto open with one touch
I don't particularly like the looks, but that's subjective.
Looks like a winner for that type of market. People who would buy this won't care about the CVT.
The interior looks great, and it seems like a very nice place to be. That's what's important here.
Good review!
PS: Turbowski, add me on myspace plskthx
+detaart #myspace is where it's at.
DIdnt like the visibility in the car, but definitely the most comfortable seats.
For the panoramic moonroof pull back longer then it’ll go back automatically
Can you comment on the interior cabin noise level while driving? You said it was pretty quiet, what does that mean? How quiet is pretty quiet? How much road noise comes into the cabin? How much wind noise would I hear?
Interior noise is minimal it's near luxury vehicle levels of quiet. Even on windy days. The platinum has 20" wheels they will generate more road noise than the smaller wheel tire combo. But it's not that noticable overall.
savagegeese Is murano quieter than cx-9? Which is more compliant and solid feeling? Would you pick between the two? Seem well matched, but rarely compared due to presence of 3rd row. Similar, design/sporty characters relative to the mid-size class tho.
I worked as a mechanic at Nissan when these came out i remember someone came in for their first oil change and the turn signal looked funny ... the light was connected but it was not plugged into the headlight ,weird quality issues ...and im a Nissan fanboy but i don't im not impressed with the quality of their new cars ill keep my 1987 Nissan 300ZX and my 96 maxima 5 speed
wooooow good
I'd love to see a Honda Accord or crv review.
How big of a motor boat can it tow?
+Scott P One other thing, can I print from my smart phone in this vehicle?
+Scott P you need the 2k BT printing package. Adds fax and 4GXLTE.
+savagegeese Will that help with towing a motor boat?
+Scott P You can fax a tow truck to move your boat.
@@savagegeese savageeee🤣
Nice video. Looking at the front facia, the streamlined design....
Did someone say Protoss? LOL...
us.battle.net/sc2/static/images/game/race/protoss-story-thumb.jpg
I can see that.
I can see that.
Howdy? Breathtaking. story eggnog
Scott says:"aline. Funny!
The sunroof switch has to be rest no big deal
19:45 are you spending your own money to buy a car so other folks won't be butt-hurt ?
It is quick for suv.
But the great motor disconnect#d to a Jaycee CVT!. What q:shame!
all hail turbowski
Wow no negative Nissan comments
OK. Mazda CX-5 now.
On list.
oh a list...then i need X1, Rogue also.
+savagegeese How about a FT86/GT86/FRS/BRZ?
+Kislak FYI Scott P is Turbowski, he cant seem to get his name right. Guy is too busy doing steriods.
Really?
Cooled Pizza?!
looks like the sorento and edge are better.
LOL TURBOWSKI IS A FUNNY DUDE
Cx9 the best handling suv barring luxury brands
Having watched both Murano and CX9 reviews while I don't need 3 rows I like the Mazda a lot more. The CXT here is a real negative.
Lava...
"Features Include: Steering Wheel, Door Handles" LOL
What's up with the phone?
how camera is controlled on one man shoot.
Who's here in 2024😊
Hey! My Fiat has better interior than a Mini! Actually, better than a lot of cars out there.
Your door handles are better than minis thats true!
This generation is built in Canton, MS, so there will be build quality issues.
So what are you saying? Tennessee has a plant. Have you experienced bad nissans from Canton. I am looking at a Titan.
@@johnhaslett6714 The Titan trucks from there are good. I had an Altima from that Plant and it was horrible. I've owned over 10 Nissans from the Smyrna, TN plant with few to no problems, but take that with a grain of salt.
honda ad on a nissan video lol
cvt.....
CVT kills that engine, Everyone else went turbo instead of cvt.
V6 naturally aspirated with cvt or 4 banger turbo with dual clutch or automatic transmission?
In the case of this car i'd take a turbo4 and an autobox but ideally keep both the v6 and the auto. I see no need for a dual clutch in anything that is not a sports car. Even AMG's use torque converted auto's for smoothness.
+Jeremy Lichtman uh what?
+detaart Most other Manufacturers went with Turbo 4 cylinders instead of NA + CVT. I think it is preferable to have a conventional auto with a semi-luxury car eliminates the drone and has reliability and smoothness.
Jeremy Lichtman The CVT has nothing to do with turbocharging or not ...
Audi used to do CVT with turbo fourbangers ...
I'm going to fall asleep Zzz
Haha you need a blankie?
Bought this car for $41.5k. Full of regret. Too many gaps, so much plastic. Looked good for the first 10k miles, but feel like I bought a Chinese made car.
Has the fit and finish degraded with miles or do you just not like it anymore?
Our tester had about 10k on it. Plastics were scratched, only had minimal panel gap but most of it was aesthetic. Do you have mechanical issues?
+savagegeese Only mechanical was the motor that powers the auto lift gate failed about 30 days in. Took six weeks for the part to arrive. Otherwise, been a predictable motoring experience for 12k miles.
How odd. My plastic trim has held up fantastic with a regularly roadtripping family of four. We have the Platinum AWD and have put 28,000 miles on it with no issues. Panel gaps do exist yes, but it doesn't seem to affect the rigidity/quality of the car. Personal aesthetic I guess.
Jody you just don’t take care of your car. My dads Murano has a 2017 Murano 23k, ik not much, but we haven’t had no problems
Great review except for awkward gay talk with the mechanic
