I think the design is just amazing, and the red, white and orange colors just look soooo good on it! i wouldn't mind spending 40k on this one... if i had them :D
The outgoing Murano was actually a pretty fun, peppy car. I just…I just can't get past the CVT! I know you say they're improving, Tom, but my experience with them has been enough to turn me off from them forever.
+accountnumber90 I'm in the same boat, I had an '08 Altima w/ CVT, and after having it for 7 years, I sold it and went back to a car with a conventional automatic. The CVT just felt like a giant rubber band and made me feel like I was ruining the engine when accelerating hard. That's not a comforting feeling when driving everyday.
Nissan blew me away (in a good way) with the new Murano, and now the new Maxima. Absolutely STUNNING designs. But my dad drives a Rogue, and while I like the car itself, the CVT leads me to stray away from driving it about 75% of the time. Can't Nissan get rid of this dumb CVT, or at least offer an automatic or manual in SOME of their cars?
I had reservations on the CVT too, I actually like it though in the Murano, put your foot into it a little bit and it does a good job of mimicking a traditional 7 speed automatic, shifts seem pretty crisp too. No one steady RPM drone while accelerating.
Costco has been very nice to let me walk in, take what I need, and bring it back for the past 12 years. No questions asked. I really enjoy the people there. Some trivia- the store where I get my stash is Warehouse #1, the site of the very first Costco (though the building was so small they tore it down to build a new one). It's next to a train yard and under the flight path of Boeing Field so I have to time things just right for audio. On the plus side, I've been watching the new 787 for years. Beautiful plane.
The price point killed it.. It will be very few will consider on buying this. Knowing that the Lexus RX and 2016 Mazda Cx5 is a much better car and lower Price. We would also throw in Mercedes-Benz GLK 350
Hmm, not sure about that. The Mazda is much smaller, and the Lexus costs 20-25 percent more (it's tough to build them with exactly the same features). Let's look at the sales figures in six months. In the end, it's the hard numbers that really counts.
I'll give Nissan credits for always being risky with design unlike Toyota and Honda but it's a hit and miss. You either like it or hate it. Personally, Nissan design never last long. It's old and out dated if you stare at it too long....look at the Juke.
Ya I actually love the interior look and feel with all those luxury options in the platinum trim. But that exterior makes the Lexus IS look absolutely gorgeous, this generation exterior of the Murano is downright UGLY. #imo
Driven Car Reviews yes I have seen their new design language but I think it does not look good. Change is always good but this is a night and day difference between this generation and previous. I don't if it'll work but then again look at what Lexus has done with their design language. Anything is possible I guess
Boy if only he knew people in 2020 would be actually trying to pack 11 packs of toilet paper in the back of their cars lmao
We love our 2015 Platinum Nissan Murano!! :)
Pandemic ready at 3:48. Foreshadowing, Tom, lol?!
I can't believe this is a Murano! Looks great Nissian. Keep it up!

I'm also not a fan. Try this one, it would not be a deal breaker for me.

Great review as always. Any chance you can do a review of the 2015 Dodge Durango, preferably a Citadel?
I love your video. Very informative.
So Tom, just which are the "Tony" brands?
So what do you do with all those rolls, Do you return them or stack em all home?
Re-upload?
I'm not into the exterior look, but like you said, at least they are trying something different.
As always, love your reviews Tom. Any chance that you'll be reviewing a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport?
I did the Sport when it first came out. Not much has changed so probably not.
Hi I have 2 questions when you use the back up camera does it beep if you are close to something for the sensor? And does this car have auto pilot?
It's been too long for me to remember and it may have changed. It is available with ProPilot Assist which is pretty good driving assist tech.
It's true 21 mpg in city with v6 3.5?

The MPGs are good. Yeah I do hate that rubbery feeling
Hey Tom,
I love your videos since they are different than everyone else. Also, what do you do with all of that toilet paper? Lol

That's awesome! Well I enjoy watching your videos so keep up the good work

The exterior design gets noticed, but it is not attractive to me. It could be catchy for a while and then more likely it will not last.
Nissan, Nissan, Nissan
Whats up with the tacky grills!
I wonder if the reliability is going to be bad
as the rest of its line up

Too much chrome.
ladie's cars
It’s not a ladies car 🤦🏽♂️🙄. A car doesn’t belong to one gender or the other

Have you seen the next gen Maxima? It would appear the Murano is foreshadowing Nissan's next design language.
