That damn Murano with the VQ35DE has been EXCELLENT for my family. Writing this in 2022 I will tell you that people are missing the instantaneous response and torque of the V6. Thankfully, I still have one. Sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone....
I really do like this car, I have been a big Nissan fan for a long time now and they never failed to impress me. Thanks for your review, because as always you are very knowledgeable and have the information for a consumer to make a good decision when researching and purchasing a new automobile.
I've driven the Murano as a loaner car while my RAV4 was getting fixed, and let me tell you, it's a great car, but it is definitely huge. It was definitely hard to park it in my garage since it is pretty wide.
I really love it in black... but for people saying they hate CVT's; Nissan doesn't make a bad CVT, or a bad vehicle, but its definitely something you have to get used to. I've driven Pathfinders and Altima's and sometimes found it to be jerky and laggy and droney at times. I just wish they would've stuck with a normal transmission...
Turbo is not always a good thing in the economy segment. Turbo leads to many reliability issues. The reliability is more important than acceleration or few added mpg's.
Do you want to compare a turbo vs none turbo vehicle? More moving parts= less reliable. Do you know what the fuck you even talking about? "No, they don't. Some of the most reliable cars today are turbos. Toyota, Honda and Nissan have done reliable turbos before." Do you even know reliability of 300zx vs 350z? TURBO'S are more prone to service/maintenance problems. PERIOD. Cars get more and more reliable every year? Am I debating with a 12 year old? Show me new cars that last through generations and get passed on to grandchildren? Paint rusts, parts are deigned to only last until warranty runs out. Plastics hoes... Go lease a BMW and stfu. PS. Sorry if I hurt your feelings but you are way wrong on this one. Fuel injection is actually a good thing for naturally aspirated engine, turbo is NOT. PPS. Before you fly of the handle like me, go a head and Google reliability comparisons.
Yes i do, i don't think either Infiniti or Nissan gives great steering wheels, except for the Fx37 and g series but warning they are very small in diameter.
at 28 mpg epa for awd, in a vehicle this size, I'm surprised to hear you say you wish there was a fuel efficient option. This is one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in this segment.
Thanks for the review. I Got the platinum with technology package, but it doesn't have the lane departure warning as you mentioned in your video. It's only blind stop, forward collision warning with emergency braking, and smart Cruz. That's it. This car is extremely stylish and comfortable. LED headlights are quite awesome and it gives you very good vision.
Is there a big difference for the 2019 model? Or the model 2015 to 2019 pretty much the same would make easier to buy the early year to save 10 or 20 grand?
Am seriously contemplating on buying a 2015 or 2016 one, but am reading lot of CVT problems. Do these newer gen Muranos also have these issues or it is safe to buy one? Please advise.
If the Pathfinder's interior was carried over from the Murano, I would have considered one but the fact it's so expensive especially with it's subpar interior, I cant see why I would get a pathfinder, especially with how there are better alternatives like the Durango. Come to think of it, I would also get a Jeep Grand Cherokee over a Murano. Also, the Nissan Murano isn't the first mid sized crossover, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is. And yes, I consider the Grand Cherokee a crossover because it was always built on a unibody chassis which in my opinion, if an SUV is built so, it's a crossover.
Love our 2015 Murano. We have been getting around 33-35 mpg on the highway, and 25 in town. We still have our 2007 Murano and to me the steering in the 07 is heavier and it's lighter in the 15. I can get the 07 Murano to peel out and with the 15 I can't. The awd has definitely improved too.
@@theminicooper We changed our CVT and differential fluids every 30k and haven’t had any issues. We have about 198k on the 2015 and still running strong. Changed the spark plugs twice already. First set at 90k and the second set at 180k. Each time we also replaced the valve cover gaskets just so they don’t start leaking. My sister loved the Murano so much she bought one in 2018 and she has 87k and still running just fine.
Checked it out this weekend. Its very nice. Posh interior, the seats are very comfortable, drives smooth etc. My only issue and this is with many new cars is the visibility. I felt I had lots of rear blind spots and even sat too low in the drivers position.
So why doesn't Redline Reviews use manual exposure for the review segment at 9 min? Brightness far to rapidly there. Exposure should focus on reviewer, not landscape, right?
Just a suggestion... I'd prefer if you do the tour of the car outside instead of indoors... combined with your post-processing of the video (which is too contrasty by the way), it makes the car you're reviewing hard to see. Thanks.
I really like this guy's reviews, he does a real good job. However I agree, when a car guy does not respect the rules of the road it takes away from their cred. Note that there were also school crosswalks, not cool.
at 9:06 passing a 30 MPH sign doing 60, LOL. The car is slow off the line, I went from a V6 car to a Murano and for moves like making a right turn on red into 55 MPH traffic you need to give yourself some extra room.
Well I don't have to say that the video is too dark. Everyone else already did. However, I am a fan of the chanel anyway. Mr. Bey can you please re-shoot this video? Thank you.
Seems like Nissan is coming up. Hopefully they'll fix the Sentra and Altima soon. In my opinion, Nissans of the last few years have had a really cheap look to them. Glad to see they're finding their stride.
This car is perfect for the family car . You droved this car 60 mph in 30mph speed limit zone. I hope, you will stop testing the vehicles in residential areas. Thank you!
I found this review to be somewhat annoying. An individual with more maturity and wisdom might provide us with a less slanted review. While pointing out the virtues as well as the faults this reviewer couldn't help himself but denegrate the vehicle for not being sporty (rough riding) and "fun" to drive. He's right. People who purchase in this segment generally are not looking for a sports car. It's inherently higher center of gravity and tendency to roll over in an accident compared to cars would preclude most from even thinking in that direction. As he stated the new Murano is quiet, stable, soft riding with lots of creature comforts. That is what I am looking for.
The steering on the 2015 Murano just feels numb and there is no feedback from the wheels. And it doesn't help that the front of the 2015 Murano looks like Donald Duck... ugly as sin. A much better looking car with more satisfying handling and driving experience (how an SUV crossover SHOULD feel like) is the 2015 KIA Sorento. The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is also a much better choice over the 2015 Murano.
Stefan Schmidt I would rank the 2015 KIA Sorento as the best SUV this year. Close 2nd is the 2015 Territory and 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. The 2015 Murano is too ugly to compete.
FrenchVoyeur On the contrary, the Nissan Murano has always been known for its cutting edge designs. The Nissan Altima certainly has found a strong following. I would say that most Nissan products have cutting edge designs that aren't trying to copy others. And for that I thank them.
Again with the AWD in the 'burbs & not even a dirt-road or anything to simulate snow. I get they aren't off-road but most people in the upper half of the country buy these things--even the 'mommy wagons'--with snow and/or occasional rough roads in mind.
Not a great review in my opinion...talking way too fast and driving unsafe through residential neighborhoods where kids are playing (ay least 40mph in a 30mph zone at 9:05). Get it out on the highway to do that bud!

I really don't get why people hate on CVTs so much. Is it to fit in with the crowd? To be like everybody else? Does it make you sound like more of a "car guy" if you hate on CVTs? They really aren't that bad. Honda's CVT you can't even tell it's a CVT. In fact after I drove the Accord I looked up the mechanical specs and I was literally shocked when I found out it was paired with a CVT. Most CVTs on the market today are extremely quiet, smooth, and provide nice linear, predictable acceleration. Both transmissions are pretty simple and straightforward to operate: just push the gas and go. I mean if "fun" is that much of a concern, why not just ignore the auto's and the cvt's and just go for a manual.

8 years ago today!! I try to buy one Sofyan.
Great review.
Why do they mimic shifts when you plant the throttle? Wouldn't it be faster to stay near redline, albeit with an unorthodox drone.
I bought it after watching your video
Anybody just hate Nissan's steering wheels?
Yes i do, i don't think either Infiniti or Nissan gives great steering wheels, except for the Fx37 and g series but warning they are very small in diameter.
yes.
I like the ones like the pathfinder
Anthony Haripersaud Thats one of the worst (imo).
Really because I like it but I don't like Altima wheels

Everything looks so dark .... U need a sunny day for a black car with black interior
Yeah a parking garage is not the best place for a all black interior showing....
It's in a nissan parking garage so spy's dont get sneaky and shit
The huge panoramic sunroof takes care of that! ;)
Racist...
Jk
Its February
Is there a big difference for the 2019 model? Or the model 2015 to 2019 pretty much the same would make easier to buy the early year to save 10 or 20 grand?
Love the steering wheel
Am seriously contemplating on buying a 2015 or 2016 one, but am reading lot of CVT problems. Do these newer gen Muranos also have these issues or it is safe to buy one? Please advise.
Family member of mine owns a 2015 Murano SL AWD, but it lacks rain sensing wipers which is surprising given the cost of the vehicle.
Thats good rain sensing wipers are horrible

are you reviewing this in your garage???
When are u guys going to review the new fit?
The interior shot was so dark for a moment i thought i was inside a deep sea submarine.
Does anyone know if the SL comes with HID headlights? I know the Platinum trim comes with LED DRL and LED low beams.
This was a good review! Whenever you get a chance... can you please do a review on the 2015 Jeep Renegade limited or trailhawk? Sofyan Bey
drove one! Very mature and smooth and luxury. Unbelievable.
I was looking for 2004-2008 Nissan Quest designed car
I just love it, would be great if u did a review on it
Should you buy this if the mileage is High meaning @100,000?
Review was well thought out, but could barely see anything because of lighting. Please shoot in better lighting (Perhaps outdoors) for future reviews.
So why doesn't Redline Reviews use manual exposure for the review segment at 9 min?
Brightness far to rapidly there. Exposure should focus on reviewer, not landscape, right?
Like the new CVT.
I got a heart attack with the loud NISSAN!!! opening statement
I am thinking about getting one next year 2021
Which would you prefer a loaded CX-5 or the Morano?
A fully loaded cx5 bearly matches a medium loaded murano
not in the same class. cx5 competes with the Rogue
Are you gonna do a review on the 2015 honda fit any time soon ?
My dad has sensors in his 2017 sv. But they did install them 2 weeks later after the ownership of the Murano. You just have to ask the,
Does anyone know if The 2018 S AWD Trim come with remote start ?
Shazzy Ahmed nope. Gotta go with the SV for that.
I love my 2015 Nissan Murano which we call her summer
I would love it if you did the 2016 Lexus LX and RX models
Please do a review on a 2015 mb s class
Just a suggestion... I'd prefer if you do the tour of the car outside instead of indoors... combined with your post-processing of the video (which is too contrasty by the way), it makes the car you're reviewing hard to see. Thanks.
*****
Yes, indoors meaning garage area. Having an exterior overview outside the vehicle would help also.
This is the SV model - not the S. The S is the base model.
Are you only reviewing new cars now?
I think so
is there adjustable pedals?
You should do reviews more often.
Multiple reviewers complain about the steering.
Use the top level of the parking garage to avoid the echo's.
60mph in a 30mph zone. test acceleration/speed on the highway or on open road and not in residential areas.
I really like this guy's reviews, he does a real good job. However I agree, when a car guy does not respect the rules of the road it takes away from their cred. Note that there were also school crosswalks, not cool.

I wish Nissan offer a v6 option of this Murano on the Rogue. It'll be a sweet ride.
Do you have any plan for the 2016 Mazda CX-5 review?
Well I don't have to say that the video is too dark. Everyone else already did. However, I am a fan of the chanel anyway. Mr. Bey can you please re-shoot this video? Thank you.
But this channel DOES NOT have ONE MINIVAN. I just thought it would be nice to have a minivan on here for the first time.
Seems like Nissan is coming up. Hopefully they'll fix the Sentra and Altima soon. In my opinion, Nissans of the last few years have had a really cheap look to them. Glad to see they're finding their stride.
Review in a dark garage without compensating additional lighting makes it hard to see.
Also, I would like you to do a Murano crosscabriolet.
Platinum review should be done
Beautiful car but is one with the most rear door problems.
Finally Nissan got it right with the new styling. The rouge's front end looks too long/big. Murano looks clean, but those rims gotta go.
Can you PLEASE do a 2015 Kia Sedona. I have been dying for you to review one.
Bruh that's a minivan.... : /
Kenny M L..O..L!!
I can't decide between the 2015 Rogue or the 2015 Murano... I'll probably get the Rogue because of price.
The sterrimg wheel comes off the pathfinder not the altima
That's what he said. He also said he wish they HAD used the altimas steering wheel.

very dark review at the beginning, but the murano seems like a nice car for the target audience
I have to use my imagination to get an idea what you're showing otherwise, outdoor shade lighting would've been nice.

The new model looks ugly
FIRST
I don't like the grill on this looks like a beaver tooth
I hate this ugliness of 2018-2017 or 2016
Ugh CVT, can't stand cars with CVTs
why?
I've never experienced a cvt until I bought a 2015 Corolla s. I always hated te idea & drone of the hi rev engine. I'm pleased with Toyotas cvt
They're so awkward to drive, plus they're unreliable

such a dogshit car in my opinion
How?

what do you have in mind that's better than the Nissan Murano? the Ford edge??😂😂 lmaoo
It's pretty ugly...
no it looks pretty good
+werder freak It's pretty ugly. I thought it looked great on video, but after seeing several in person, it just looks weird.
