      Unless you have some decent write offs, you're gonna be paying anywhere from 12% (easily) to close to 25% in taxes. Also, you're supposed to pay estimated quarterly taxes towards that bill throughout the year.

    • @wjameswright
      @wjameswright 8 месяцев назад

      @@cmgweb6951 IMHO there would be some write offs, part of rent, part of utilities, office supplies, computer/studio add ons (ie cameras, computers, ;laptops, software) Talk to a tax specialist and see what would be allowed

    • @KentPetersonmoney
      @KentPetersonmoney 3 месяца назад

    One of the useful things about this channel for me is how a fair amount of information is compiled in analyzing each topic. Helping people identify how they may be getting manipulated by psychological business practices is a useful tool in helping some folks to be less impulsive when it comes to spending, and to think about what they spend money on. One of the hardest lessons here for me here on this channel was the "buy once, cry once" way of looking at important purchases. Nicole has mentioned it at least once or twice.

  • @ericclark133
    @ericclark133 11 месяцев назад +12

    I like how you mix hope and caution, showing the variance in the revenue and views. Being realistic when you state this takes a ton of perseverance is a huge element of this as well. What you create is certainly much more valuable than many other influencers who shouldn’t be influencing, since their influence is bad - but unfortunately they make a lot more (and end up creating bad habits). Hopefully your channel will continue to grow and you will be able to not only earn a living wage, but earn a good wage. You have a lot of good advice (although I don’t agree with all of it - but since when do humans completely agree on anything), it should be reaching more people, and you should be compensated well for dispensing it.

    It's interesting how past videos gain sudden traction and it's a good lesson about why you need to simply keep going and carry on. I'm a self-published author and it's the same thing - I get income from the books I wrote 5 years ago and occasionally one or two really jump in popularity. There's no obvious pattern as to why, it could be just an algorithm thing or some reason why the subject matter becomes more sought-after. Great videos, thank you.

    Thank you for this video! As a new content creator for RUclips, I am still not monetized. I've only been making videos for about 4 months now. It's frustrating sometimes because there seems to be very little rhyme or reason as to why some of my videos (mostly shorts) get a lot more views than others. It also sucks doing this on the side while working other jobs that pay crap wages. I usually too tired to make anything besides easy low-effort shorts. But, my longer videos rarely ever get as many views as the shorts do. But, I refuse to give up because I HATE every job I've ever had, so being a RUclipsr would be better than anything I've ever done if I could make it work.

I retired at age 48 so I get to go to bed late at night and wake up late in the morning. Stay on your goal of retiring in your 40's. About your dog.
