Thank you for showing how to attach these pompoms. Could you cute the nylon loop that is on the pompom and thread it thru a button? Or feed that loop without cutting it thru a button? I was just curious. But thank you for this I had no clue how to attach these cute pompoms that I continue to gather for hats lol

Also with the button method, is the pom super secure or does it flop?
Very secure
I have put the elastic through the top of the hat and back out through another hole and stretch it and put the Pom Pom through the elastic. It’s a bit floppy but once it’s on the head it stabilizes. Then it can be removed for cleaning.
That sounds like a great way too.

What kind of needle are you using? I can’t seem to thread the yarn through the pom itself it’s too tough I need a sharper needle!

I like to use a satin-covered button to protect the hair

This would be cheaper than buying the pom poms with the snap on them.
It is and I've had no problem with them tangling in my hair. It has been a good way for me to keep the pom pom attached nicely.
See I'm afraid if I put a button on the inside my hair will get tangled in it. I dont want to have to cut my hair out of a hat..
I've never had any problem with the button at the top of a hat holding the pom pom in place.

The first time my grandkids get their hair caught in that button will be the last time they wear the hat. 😩
I've been wearing my pom pom's like this for years and have had no problems with the button tangling in my hair.
