    Im not exactly a beginner but I tend to make my hats from top to bottom. I’ve watched I can’t tell you how many videos and yours is the ONLY one that not only does a close up of the brim, the stitch behind the foundation row but also does it slow enough to where I don’t need to pause the video and rewind 10 times. You make it so user friendly and easy to navigate. Thank you!

    I just learned to crochet - so far until now, I’d made one granny square (a big one with a ball of yarn). This was my first real project, and it turned out really cute! I even made the pom pom. Yeah, I’m sure there’s some not so great spots if you look closely, but I was proud of myself! Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I used an acrylic yarn I already had, so my next one will be with the wool yarn. Thank you for making this so easy!

    Love this pattern! I doubled the yarn to make it semi-chunky so the gauge was different. The math worked out to a multiple of 2 +1 which was perfect and extremely helpful you gave size in inches as well as stitch count (my count was about half of yours)!! Would love to see more new patterns from you!!

    • @jancolby1397
      @jancolby1397 3 года назад

      So that's what my measurement did too not the 43 ridges Marley said. Did you fold the brim part in half like she said with then 15 on each side rather than 21 and 22? so then how many for that first row of the body did you do? not 83, but ???? I'm new at this and a bit confused just on that part. If I had done 43 ridges it would be too big.

    I love this stitch and your teaching style. After a few hours of stitching I realized that my gauge must be different than yours because the circumference of my hat was larger than 20 inches (I didn’t measure at first) I followed your guidance of 83 ridges and went from there. What should I do now? Rip out and start again or can I alter somehow?
