    I love anything made up with the suzette stitch. I think it gives a very subdued elegant look.
    Excited to do this one.

      It took me about 3-4 hours :) the brim, especially if worked in the slip stitches is what takes the longest

    Your hdc2tog looks like a (hdc/sc) tog. I do mine like this: (yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw up loop) 2 times, yo and draw through all 5 loops. You're doing: yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw up a loop, insert hook in next st, draw up loop, yo and draw through all 4 loops. Is there a reason why you do yours like that? Is it to make less bulk? I've never seen it done like that.

    • @sabrinaharris6538
      @sabrinaharris6538 2 года назад

      I just watched how she does the 2 hdc together, and you're right, she's doing a hdc and sc together.

    • @RitaMillerLA
      @RitaMillerLA 2 года назад +1

      @@sabrinaharris6538 from what I understand (and read elsewhere), the way Sarah does it is the preferred method of hdc2tog to make it a bit smoother and less "bulky" looking.

Then start hat im going to make the winterberry one first his head is only 13" around so i was going to follow brim chart and then work on hat part is there any suggestion for me or am i going on the right track so far 😢

    Is the 72 stitch count because you have 72 rows? I want to make a smaller beanie and I was wondering about the stitch count. Thank you...loving this stitch 😁

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  2 года назад

      Not necessarily - I worked 72 because that’s what was comfortable for the size I wanted. To adjust the size I would work an even number to the desired circumference

    On your brim do you slip stitch in the back bump or just one of the v’s at the top? Did that make sense? Lol

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  2 года назад +1

      I usually sl st into the back numb as it gives a nice edge to work in. It is personal preference though and you can work in the v if you would prefer :)

    Why do you turn on certain rows but not all? Why is turn your work not included in written instructions? Thank you

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  2 года назад

      It is only after the first round of the body and when working the decrease at the top of the hat that you do not need to turn - as is written in the pattern notes (and you’ll see at the end of all the other rows in the written pattern) you will turn at the end of each round that requires turning. The Suzette stitch requires turning in order to get the stitches to fall in the proper direction
