And it looked a lot like the one you made but with a shell stitch brim. I got it done (it took a few tries and starting over), but I did it!. Eureka! You have accheived world peace..in my 💜 ❤️ I'm left handed and maybe a little spastic lol and I have been teaching myself how to crochet via RUclips for about 18 months. The magic circle I decided was completely voodoo and could only be done by people that had special powers. This is a great hat pattern. It was fun to work on and will be fun to wear. I had to change the ribbing, however. No matter how hard I try, I end up crying when I try to crochet front-post-back-stitches. I'm ok with the front post, but the back post just raises my blood pressure every time I try to do it. SO I substituted seed stitch (single crochet-double crochet) for the ribbing and the hat still looks wonderful. I can't wait to make a bunch of them for the local homeless shelter this winter.

Did it and had to put 5 lines of V stitches and 2 for the brim and change size of hook and did 3 bdc and 3 fpdc and came out nice.

I just finished one but i used the whole skein of lion brand ferris wheel sprinkles it turned out really good & now I'm working on another one with lion brand ferris wheel pink marmalade. I made your V-Stitch Shawl with two extra repeat sets to make it longer (only took 3 days) and now I'm doing this hat using Caron's Crystal yarn in the colorway of Claret. It is for a friend's mother, and she had the choice of Hummingbird or Claret, and I think the shawl and hat turned out wonderful in the Claret...and quite nice for the Holiday Season, as well.
