Really nice that you added the stuff about the chemo patients. That will come in real handy for some people that might be doing that!🥰
I bought that embroidery floss today at Michaels it’s $7.49 I think & bought a bag of the same buttons & more fur pompoms - will sew my Pom Poms on my hand made beanies later tonight yay shud work!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for and watching several videos to see how to do this. This is by far the best video I've come across. Gonna save this to my playlist for reference.
Thank you! 😊
I was at a loss on how to make the poms removable ... these are perfect! Thank You so much for this tutorial ... GB!

This video was so very helpful! Thanks for the time you took to show us these.
The hat looks so good with the colorfull Pom Pom! My Pom Poms are like this but it’s not elastic it’s a hard plastic loop...love your videos!

Thank you for the tutorial.
You're welcome!!
Another note on crochet hooks - even if you don’t crochet, they are handy to have because they are often easier to use to pick up and fix slipped stitches especially in smaller gauge or tighter knitted projects.
thanks for the button tip!
Regarding crochet hooks - I've ALWAYS used them instead of 'cable needles' when knitting Aran-style projects. I find that, IF the hook slips sideways during the cable twist, at least the hook catches on the stitch(es) and prevents you from losing the stitch while working. I've been doing Arans for 50yrs and never dropped a cable stitch yet :-).
Grazie ❤️
I wish you showed how to sew the snap part onto the faux pom instead of showcasing the end result. Even though you did explained what you did, it still would've amazing to see HOW you did it.
Sewing pretty straight forward. You put the thread underneath the snap and pull the thread up through the opening in the slot, then go down in the next slot and so on. It's just like sewing on a button. If you have never sewn on a button or snap, there are some YT tutorials. Here is one for snaps: ruclips.net/video/HiKi-Rlf-QI/видео.html
Use a hairdryer to fluff up the fur pom pom
Can i add a snap to a pom pom that has a elastic already on it ?
You should be able to cut off the elastic and add the snap. Or you can just put a button on the underside and attach the elastic part to the button.
What’s the name of the hat pattern again? I looked on Ravelry but didn’t see it
I'm sorry. I don't have a Ravelry account anymore. I am no longer looming.
I purchased a loops and threads brand Pom Pom and it came with a large elastic loop attached to the underside of it. Now how would I attach it to my crochet beanie? Since the loop is kind of big I’m kind of confused where to put the yarn around it and how to attach it.
Did you watch the video? I show how to attach one with a loop in the video. So, I'm not sure I understand your question.
@@LisasCreationsofLove They are saying the loop is bigger than what is showed in your video . I have gotten a few pom poms and the loop is way bigger than what is showed.
@@heavenhugs could it be looped around more than once?
button
I have one with big elastic too...the loop is almost as big as a regular ponytail holder🤔. So, me too.🤷♀️
Which one is your favorite way to attach
It just depends on who the hat is for. For chemo patients with no hair, a snap is probably more comfortable than a button. I don't use the poms with the elastic because I make my own. So, I prefer using a large button and just tying the pom to it. That way the person can remove it easily for washing. Sometimes the large snaps work, but depending on the size of the pom, they can be kind of floppy.
I am wanting to know if anyone has complained that the button hurt their head.
I don't know. I drop off the hats.
