For all of those wondering why Rosemary kept helping John despite everything, the amulet of protection not only protects you physically, but also brings you good fortune or allows your plans and endevours to go correctly. That's why not only John crossed paths with the woman with the biggest heart ever, but also she had this impulse to keep aiding him.

And despair would beat hope, but for Lucifer to choose despair would be to give up any hope of seeing heaven again. She would win, but would give up her greatest dream. That’s why this is my favorite single scene in the series.
Despair doesn’t work either as hope and despair are equal.
23:54 you can tell who the comic book readers are in them crying when John spares and protects Rosemary. The comics going very differently here was one of the most harrowing parts of the comics. I remember sitting in pained silence for a long time after I read that ending.

Lilith was BEFORE Eve. Lilith was made as Adam was, not from Adam, but the same. She refused to lie on her back for Adam, and was therefore banished from Eden. It is then that she became, in some cultures, the paramour of Lucifer, giving birth to demons, and taking the lives of children.
Lilith was ALWAYS first. Not from the rib of Adam, but of the Earth itself.
There is a surprising amount of journey to the west in sandman
Hell in this series just reminds me of Mordor from LOTR. I mean, it’s quite fitting because Mordor’s basically Tolkien’s depiction of Hell.

Yay!!! You actually caught one of my newest subscriptions in here, found her through her Sandman reactions. This and episode 6 were my absolute FAVE of the season, and I just loved the battle and follow-up mic drop between Morpheus and Lucifer. You did a fantastic job here!

about the hope thing i think it will have something to win against it
but that lucifer you play with Lucifer will never let anything or anyone top the hope because samael(Lucifer) is the one who suppose to bring it as a light bringer

I think this is what you meant to say
I will add one more thing. I don't think Lucifer's role is that of Bringer of Hope, but I do think that Lucifer is literally the most hopeful being in existence. They had the hope to break free of the Creator's (God's) plan. For this, they were punished since the beginning of time to oversee Hell, the place were you are supposed to "Abandon All Hope" when you enter. No being has existed in Hell longer than Lucifer Morningstar. And yet, the *still* carry an ember of hope that someday they will be able to break free of the Plan.
Lucifer doesn't *want* this hope. Lucifer has actively tried to get rid of that hope before. But they can't....
So it's not, in my opinion, that Lucifer won't allow hope to die. It's that Lucifer has *tried* to destroy hope before and just... doesn't know how. There doesn't seem to be any way to permanently be rid of their hope.
Thus, the Lord of Hell can't destroy hope... because they have no idea how to even get rid of their own hope.
(this events lead to Lucifer resigning from Hell, which is hilarious)

The reason Lucifer didn't fight hope is that because it was the only way to go back in heaven. If lucifer said Despair or Fear means she would just kill her hope and dream of heaven.
