I love Death's big sister energy
Tom’s voice was beautiful, Neil adapted the entire scene beautifully
Death of The Endless is just…beautiful and seems lovely to spend time with.
That's how she was conceived by Neil. Someone comforting, kind and sweet at the end of your life. Someone who cared.
No one in this world drew these characters like Mike D. When he and Neil were really cooking together, it was amazing.
Th voice acting in this is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
What?
Facts.
The voice acting here is perfect. The character designs are clearly based on Neil Gaiman's appearance. So it makes perfect sense for you guys to give them an English accent. And you guys do a great job keeping their voices true to their respective character. Death voice is perfect in this video.
Actually apparently Neil based Morpheus's design off of Peter Murphy from Bauhaus 😂 He swears that the similarities between himself and Morpheus are completely coincidental 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@asexualtrickster I just looked him up. Oh wow, does Peter Murphy know?!?!?!
This was the the Best episode of Sandman. Ms. Baptiste did a Fantastic job with her role. I think the show was just green lit for a second season.
Damn I don’t blame thanos, I’d wanna clap deaths cheeks to
Deadpool: She busy lil bro 😈
This is DC sadly, not marvel
This is DC's Death. She's better than Marvel's Death in my opinion. But yes, Death is very attractive.
Wow damn Franklyn, my condolences
Dear Mr.Franklin, some advice from the fourth wall, Don't court Death it's a bad idea.
-Sincerely Rick Sanchez
Actually deaths probably the only endless you could be with as she doesn't seem to follow the laws the other endless have to follow
Dear Mr. Franklin, ignore that guy. His voice actor abuses his wife. Go date Death if you want. Gotta warn you upfront though: She only has thigh bones for moi so don't expect any under-the-covers action.
-Sincerely Deadpool
DP your deaths a skeleton this death can be literally anything

Ooh! We've got an "Actually" battle on our hands! -Yellow Text Box
Lucky thing I came prepared! *Pulls out the continuity gem and poofs up Death as she appeared in The Infinity Gauntlet* -Deadpool
As you can see, Death originally looked like a normal human woman in a lavender cloak when she appeared back in the Infinity Gauntlet mini-series -White Text Box
Yeah, but she was kind of on a weird kick back then; something about more things being alive than had died. -Deadpool
Maybe she forgot a decimal point? We do that all the time! -Yellow Text Box
Which is why the IRS is after us. Again. -White Text Box

Such a shame they cut that Mary Poppins intro from the Netflix series. It set the tone for Death’s character and it’s absence diminished her. The Netflix death feels like a lovely hospice nurse, but lacks the youthful whimsy that captivated people in this, her first appearance. I think the character was poorer for it.
It’s in the show
I'm pretty sure that line was in the show.
Man got mad when the line was in the show
Wow, this is really good! I didn't really know what to expect but I'm really glad I watched this. I was completely drawn in! I'm definitely going to have to check out this sandman comic.
RIP Franklin hehe this was awesome but there's nothing else I can say that hasn't already be said in past comments.
Wonderful guys
Great to hear, make more than this...
Alas, poor Franklin, we hardly knew ye
O no, Frakling will realy die this soon, why? I thought Death is a little more indulgent or maybe was not in the mood.
Poor Franklin
What thick bricks of bread is he tearing/throwing to the birds, them be sounding like solid rocks lmao
Haha I think thats meant to be the players kicking the ball
Noooo Franklin!
I think its funnily ironic that the EMBODIMENT OF DREAMS knows less about Mary Poppins than Death herself.
i remeber... savi
The voice of Sandmand must sound unnatural, that's why the difernt kind of ballons
Taya sounds like Karen Gillan, I really had the impression that it was Amy Pond
Imagine Death coming for Burgess when he dies
Always will love this part Death tells her brother off loll
The audiobook is better
better than netflix ;)
It´s a full adaptation of this scene. What do you mean ? it´s very faithful to the comics and scenes of the graphic novel. What do you mean ?
@@arthursouza9641 Not even remotely, Netflix butchers it. To be fair, the mostly fabulous Audio Drama whiffs this scene too (they both cut the Mary Poppins stuff which is absolutely criminal) ... not being in Washington Square Park also sucks. Netflix's ONLY real saving grace is the casting of Dream, otherwise it's all pretty sluggish, boring, and pedestrian.
@@JAIstarkillerkid Mary Poppins quote is on Netflix, dumb. And it´s a frame from the comic this adaptation with same dialogues and scenes .and not having the same place it´s a thing for purists and dumb fans . And still complaying about ´´etnicity´´ of Death ? Meantime the endless don´pt have race or etnicity.
@@arthursouza9641 Only the "fat pigeons" joke is included, not the rest... and the delivery is terrible. You can complain about Kirby (either Zoe Kravitz or Zazie Beetz could have pulled it off better) and not be complaining about ethnicity. But I think it's entirely fair to remark on Death not being a pale Goth girl simply for the fact that she is a direct (and it seemed at the time, intended) visual counterpart to Dream; out of ALL the other siblings, they were the ones closest to each other and that was reflected in the visual motif as well. This is one of my favorite scenes in all of comic books, so I think feeling cheated by a half-assed version is entirely reasonable. In general, the show is just dull, like most Netflix series.
@@JAIstarkillerkid YOu clearly don´t understand the concepts of Sandman, because Death and the other endless don´t have a fixed form and Death haved many many forms in the comics, including a black woman . And the endless are cosmic entities so by your logic thay have to be equal or be similar in look to their siblings ? LOL ,What a joke.
One more case from a reader that don´t understand what is reading. And everyone who readed before saw the show liked this live action and you is a minority.
gaiman: makes this Great thing
netflix: ok, but how about everybody's black and gay now
fucking netflix
yep, sum it pretty fucking hard
Imagine saying this like Neil Gaiman wouldn't approve.
It'd be like saying the Xmen wasn't an obvious allegory for the civil rights movement.
And he does approve of the changes. He was heavily involved in the making of this show. Stop triggering yourself over every little thing snowflake.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste nails this scene *perfectly*, though. Which is so important. She's great!
"ucking netflix"
So you hate gaiman? Ah Comments like this show that this whole "but the author wanted the charackter like that" talk is nonsense. Gaiman approved of all of this and the comments still come in
@@Dundoril Go outside, touch some grass, hug an ape and cope.
it was ok, def it had woke elements, 7/10
