You're the best gun review guy ever
Yep no stats no graphs just fun and laughter…others ok but….
In history
I agree
The only one who can come close to him is his son. He helped introduce me into firearms years ago. I appreciate him and owe him many thanks. Thanks Hickok45. You will go down in history with the other gunslingers of the past.
He is the grandfather of the youtube firearm channel and he will always remind you of a grandpa lol gotta love it
You are the Bob Ross of gun reviews. Thank you for what you do!
Great revolver, I bought a 6 1/2" 610 last year. Nice that you can shoot the less expensive 40 S&W in it as well. What's really nice about the new ones is you can swap out the front sight really easy, just pull back and lift up. I really like the moon clips makes it fast to reload, just load up a bunch before you go shooting. I have the TK Custom loading and unloading tools that makes it real easy to load and unload the moon clips. I have a S&W 625JM, it also that uses moon clips.
Thanks for mentioning the TK loading and unloading tool. I just bought the loading tool. Nice.
@@desertrhatnv Your welcome, they really make it a lot easier.
Just let 40 die in peace lol
Yeah im looking for a front sight as well right now
@@SoccerVJ2011 nooooooooooooooooo
Hickok, I’m going to miss you when your gone, I’ve been watching you for years, atleast 15 haha, me and my dad, but I’d say your like a grandfather to me, and your a legend to me, keep making the videos, so many love them
As a hand-loader, I got tired of chasing my 10mm brass so I resorted to revolvers. Among them, I prefer the 610 over GP100.
i never saved my 10mm brass until i got a revolver (610). its so easy
Bringing a positive impact into the world, I love hickocks videos because I know I can put it on and forget about all the crazy stuff in the world like everybody else is posting
Gotta love a S&W 🤗
I absolutely love watching you try different guns!
That height joke in the beginning lines up with my day. Looking through old books and I find a picture of my 7'2 Uncle with my Grandma. Made me happy to find it. Loved them a lot. I miss them both
I've been watching hickok45 for years I'm glad that your still making videos 👍👍👍
610 is of excellent accuracy. Plus with Hickok, everything is just perfect
Revolvers are definitely NOT indestructible. And it's not just the cheap imports that fail. I was under that false pretense until last fall when I was shooting my Ruger GP100 in 357. It's the seven shot with the 4" barrel and SS/rubber grips with wood insert. I fired a round, and it would fire no more. The hammer would not move, the trigger was frozen, the cylinder would not budge. Totally locked up. I was finally able to get the cylinder out and unload it. Took it to the dealer I bought it, they were baffled. So back to Ruger it went. They said the pawl was broken, which is kind of what connects the hammer, trigger and rotates the cylinder, or keeps it turning one direction. Also the sear (seer?) was bent. They (Ruger) replaced all internal parts, did a professional cleaning job, retimed/realigned the whole deal and I had it back in 5 days. It went out on a Monday, the dealer called me on Friday. Never paid a nickel either. I am like Hickok. I clean and polish after every shoot. I asked if it was something I did/didn't do. No. In my dealer's words "shit happens". He has seen that issue with a few models of S&W, but it was his first with Ruger and that model. Ruger really impressed me with their customer service. I was thinking it was going to be a pissing match between us with them blaming me for breaking it and the whole thing stretching out months. I could not have been more wrong. Ruger stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. I am now a customer for life. So, while the revolver does have fewer things that have to go right for it to function, it's a mechanical device, and like anything mechanical it can fail.
An old timer I know picked up a 610 with a 6 inch barrel from a pawn shop in the mid 90's. It had some sort of scope on it when he got it, that's since been replaced by a Leupold. He bought it because it was something different, but it's become his favorite deer hunting pistol. He goes out every year and says it's never failed to drop one in its tracks. Of course, the old man's a hell of a shot. I believe that has a lot to do with it too.
What a beautiful firearm! Absolutely beautiful! In my insignificant opinion, manufacturers don't make enough 10mm handguns. Great review hickok, as usual!
Besides the rugar Alaskan this is on the list
The 10mm is probably one of the best “all around” handgun cartridges out there. It stands toe to toe with the 357 mag in terms of energy (i don’t count the specialty ammo makers) in ammo that you buy off the shelf and it punches a bigger hole and in a revolver it doesn’t recoil any worse. The one I shot (6.5”)was spooky accurate, as in a 6 shot group under an inch @ 25 yards.
Can't find the bullet for it why bye it
@@adaperry2083 if you’re in an area that doesn’t have 10mm, have you checked to see if you’re still on planet earth?

I was not aware of this gun. Thanks for the added cost to the budget.
Thank you for all of the lesson's learned from your channel , Great Job !
I love this man so much, if anyone can find even half the passion and love this man has for firearms, they'll be content for life.
That is one of the best revolvers made, wow while Hickok45 you really are the coolest
This man can handle recoil like a champ
No arthritis in those hands.
At this time, my favorite revolver ! I've had mine now 2 years . The 10mm in a revolver is different than a semi auto. Without a doubt louder , the light and smoke show will put a smile on your face.
Always a pleasure watching your videos.
Pretty cool you can see the projectile actually flying through the air and hit the gong. You guys are great 👍 thanks for all you do. GOD BLESS
That summer scene looks so warm as I sit here watching on one of the coldest days in New England this winter. 🙂
Mr Hickok has to elected for the head of NRA. His passion for Guns and knowledge of it is phenomenal 🇺🇸
Man! Look at the leaves on the trees. S&W revolvers are my favorite.
A nice looking revolver.
Yes
I always wanted a 625 45 acp but it just wasn't to be apparently. So when the newer 610's came out I jumped on a 4" just like this one. It's actually more versatile that the 45. To be able to use full tilt 10's to milder 40's
is great. Especially if you already have lots of cheaper 40 ammo laying around.
Some say y if u want a 10 mm buy 357 mag or 44 cause 40 cal stronger and cheaper than 38 special moon clips so what
Always a pleasure to watch you plinking sir. Thanks mister!
I really appreciate the videos You share with Us here on RUclips, Thank You so much. The time, effort, consideration and valuable information is greatly appreciated. And it looks like a lot of fun too! Later
I don't have a 610 S&W, but I do have a Ruger GP100 in 10 MM. It has a 5" barrel and shoots 40 S&W great. Awesome video as always.
I've had one since the early 90s, great gun.
I also bought one last year, and in a 6”, I love it
Thumbs up. Real men like this, like my Dad and grandpa made this country great.
It's great to watch your shows.
1006 (safety) and 1076 (no safety) S&W were the FBI 10mm pistols. It was after the 1986 Miami shootout they needed an upgrade to 10mm for more stopping power, then they came up with .40 S&W.
I bought a used 1076 in 1995 from a dealer that was very happy because he couldn't sell it being a 10mm.
Used moon clips and reloaded 40 S&W with 38-40 RNFP cast bullets in IDPA in the early 2000s. Worked well and could be ramped up to competitive velocities. Mine still works well. My S&W 1025 auto was an FBI gun and has a great trigger. All good shooters and easy reloading. Thanks.
As you know, The Gun has been out for quite some time … I truly love the 610 with handloads .. quite nothing like it . 10 seems to be the perfect round if you ask me one loaded heavy. And shot out of a decent size revolver. Thank you for the video.
Still not as good as a revolver out of the same size or smaller.
I have owned, sold, and bought again 610s since my first no-dash 5" 610 way back in 1990. They're a joy no matter which model. They are a lot of fun to load for as you said, and the N-frame makes long range sessions a blast. I don't shoot IPSC or ICORE with mine anymore, but they still get range duty for steel silhouette shooting. If you can find them try yours with 10mm Hornady Critical Duty. Mine shoots them with near rifle like accuracy.
The 10mm is at its best when handloaded. I own the 610 with a 6-inch barrel, along with three other semiautomatic pistols. It holds its own in the field and at the range with a variety of handloads. It hits with authority, and you don't have to wage war with it to hold on to it.
I believe you did a Ruger gp 100 10mm review several years back. Great reviews as always
That Dan Wesson with the stag grips .. What a beauty !! Love the revolver too, but that 1911 .. wauw👍
They sure beat the other 2 on the table in the looks departement.
Love your vids! I bought my first gun because of your vids. It's a colt king cobra. I've shot guns a lot in my life, but I never really wanted to own one. You made it look so fun though haha. Thanks for doing what you do!
Back around 2002, I was able to shoot one of these revolvers!! Absolutely gorgeous performance and accuracy no less!!😁
Now I want one. That 10mm has some power
Powerful gun here. The N frame really handles it. Thanks for sharing.
K frame.
Hickok working up a sweat in this video! Look at those stains🤣 Great video!
Made 2 comments with absolutely nothing negative at all…. No spam/scam, just trying to give my opinion of this cool firearm and great video! What the heck! Maybe this one will stay up. Long live H45!
Nice s&w model 610 10mm thanks for sharing Hickok45
The 610 is a neat revolver. I hope they make them for a while; I'm slowly saving for one.
I didn't save. My credit card hates me.
You are so good at what you you make it look righteous
I love this guy man!
Got one of these bad boys reamed to 10mm magnum.
What a glorious sound!
Hundreds of years from now. Archeologists will assume a Great War occurred on Hickok’s land. 😂
A ten milli wheel gun?! Damn now I want one lol
10mm my personal favorite
Thanks Again! Nice video
Sweet S&W 10mm.
Was going to buy one a long time ago. I had a 625 45 acp, loved it wish I'd never sold it
👍😊 I’ve seen 45 bullets in flight to the gona in several videos and now a 10mm 👍. It’s hits a little to the right at distance.
Seen this in a store a couple years ago and didn't get to check it out but had stayed with me for some reason, It had a 6inch barrel. Like the idea of Shooting 40s&wand 10mm in a revolver!
I have one of the first gen 6.5” 610s and had a 5”. Both were exceptionally accurate and used moon clips. What’s odd is that I have never seen or shot an inaccurate 610. S&W just seemed to get the chambering and barrels perfect for the round. You can run Nuke loads in the 610 as you have a lot more steel around the chamber then say the EAA Witness. If you like the 10 you need a 610 or two.
I really enjoy shooting my Smith and Wesson 610 although I have the 6.5 inch barrel. It's a beast. Thanks for the review.
First 10 mm pistol I heard of was the Colt Delta Elite. Read about it in the weapons in review section in the back of a Mack Bolan novel. Didn't know it was available in revolvers too. Certainly interesting.
What a beautiful looking gun!
Nice revolver, I am in Alaska! When you are talking brown bear protection and I have a lot of time in the woods up here, I consider.44 magnum a minimum, I carry .454, .475 or .500 caliber for brownie’s.
No 357??
357 is a step above 10mm, but 44 is two steps above 357
@@bobjohnson1633 WRONG. 10 mm is a step above 357 mag. 10 mm is close to 41 mag, just like 9mm is similar to 357 mag. All of the revolvers will have more power than their pistol counterparts in their respective sizes, but 10 mm is slightly more powerful than 357 mag.
I love that you can shoot 40s in the 610 as well for some cheaper practice shooting with less recoil. Even if they had to go to a 5 shot, I'd love to see a 10mm in an L-Frame.
This revolver is awesome. I have it since September last year and still have a lot of fun to shoot 40sw & 10mil ammo. Great quality, a lot of ideas how to customize. Still thinking if I need to have it as a hunting gun.
Love your gun reviews.
One question for you. Is speed loaders still made? A family member had a Ruger 357 magnum and several speed loaders for it.
Keep shooting
A beauty of a gun
A friend of mine was looking to raise money for an African safari back in the middle 1990s, and offered to sell me his 610 10mm at a very good price. I've always regretted not buying it.
Hickok 45 is a national treasure
Carried a 4” 686 on duty. Beautiful revolver plus that 10 is bad enough to carry into the back country.
That Dan Wesson is a beauty.
Love yr channel..fantastic
Thanks for the video I honestly didn’t know this revolver was being made it’ll go good with my Glock 20 gen 4
Six shot 10MM revolver??
TAKE MY MONEY AND GIVE ME MY GUN 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I own one Great revolver great video thanks Hickok 45
I could see that hand engraved, nice set of custom wood or mammoth ivory grips.. nice bbq gun.
Next question, how much is it? My wife said she will get me a new gun for our anniversary! What a woman! She knows how to get at my heart strings. I think I need this gun! Thanks for all the great demo's and videos from UT.
N-frame are the best for shooting. This is one of my favorite S&W revolvers. I recommend VZ grips with aggressive checkering. Also shoots 40S&W. Get moonclips and tools from TK Custom. Thanks for the video. A good carry weapon, too.
Let's see the Zenk! Or, is the Zenk an April Fools joke?
I have been fondling the 6.5" 610 at my LGS for a few weeks
Hickock for president.
Best gun salesman there ever was
I had a S&W 940 that I regret selling. I liked the star clips for fast reloads. It only came with two of them new but I was able to get more from the factory.
10mm revolver...love it. I would love to give that a go.
Now that's a nice revolver. Thanks for the summertime video.
That camera is awesome. I can literally see the bullet
I have one of those. It is probably my favorite firearm, and I have a lot of excellent guns. Love to shoot it. If you shoot 40 cal then you have to use the moon clips.
610 nice gun I like how it handles
10mm is a great cartridge and historic, created by Col Jeff Cooper. Be sure to get both tools for moonclips - loader and unloader - from TK Custom. Also, get the "clutch pedal" to replace the cylinder release, and a plug to replace keylock - good products from Eli at TK Custom. The Dan Wesson 1911 10mm is well worth the money. Also a good carry weapon. Great bowling pin guns.
Nice revolver but I’m here for the leaves on trees. Summer is the best time of the year.
Love your videos just a heads up we in Alaska depend on the 10mm it’s a great round for self defense from the animals up here
Why not .357 or.44 magnums?
.357 in grizz country isn't enough.
10mm allows you a semi auto if you fancy.
Gotta love any S&W big bore caliber
Love mine. Use it for competition shooting .40 S&W with moon clips
You look so much younger, and spring is early this year in TN
I love my 10mm’s.. G29/40mos, Razorback, etc.. but at the N frame’s hefty weight just get the 629 5” in 44mag.
I paired my 629 in a Gunfighters Kenai with a Henry Bigboy X for a perfect northern ID and MT combo.
I have this revolver. Love it!
Was it fairly expensive? And how does the recoil compare to. 357 ?
@@juandemarko8348 recoil depends on what type of .357 ammo ur using but both are very similar.
Would still choose .357 for revolvers and 10mm is for semi autos
@@juandemarko8348 I got it about 3 years ago in California for $970. The recoil is similar to .357. I like pairing my guns ammo together which is one of the reason why I got it. I love going shooting with my Revolver and Carbine.
My s n w 357 6inch is the most reliable and it'll stop anything.s n w makes great arms.one of my favorite.also really favor my Springfield xdm as well.
That is so sick
I couldn't think of a better way to end the evening. Great video, good gun!
That's a nice piece.
