I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for all the work you've done explaining Reaper. You're videos are the gold standard in Reaper tutorials. Well done !
His videos are very helpful. It’s just really hard for me to watch his videos because of his cadence when he speaks. It’s like 3 words…2 words….4 words….3 words…2 words…2 words…4 words. It’s just hard to listen to someone have that many pauses in their speech. I wish it wasn’t so bothersome to me because he does have a lot of helpful videos
Kenny's thoughtful and deliberate way of presenting information is one of the keys to his success as a presenter and a teacher. He is the number one go-to for learning about Reaper. Much appreciation Kenny.
Definitely an A+ in terms of content. The disjointed pausing every 2-3 words makes it extremely difficult to stay engaged though, and I see I'm not the only one to think that.
@@Ferrous_Bueller Totally agree. The topics covered are very useful, but his speech patterns make it difficult for me to absorb his points. I used to study linguistics and know a bit about how our brains process language. We rely on certain patterns of speech, but when those patterns are broken up (e.g., by frequent pauses in unusual spots within sentences), it requires greater effort to extract meaning. I'm new to Reaper and have been looking at numerous videos from different channels. This is the first video I've seen from this channel, but if he always speaks like this in his videos, I'm mainly gonna look elsewhere so that my brain doesn't have to work harder than necessary.
Despite of using Reaper for many many years now, I watched the video just because of Kenny explaining in such an excellent manner. 😀 Thanks Kenny for your all your effort and work!
Anyone new to reaper? Kenny is your guy! Seriously, I have been using reaper over 10 years and, even though he doesn't know it, Kenny is always my go to guy when I want to learn how to do something new. Clear , accurate and always helpful. :)

Even though I'm an experienced producer and Reaper user, I sat through the video anyway, just because I find it all so calming and reassuring! Ha ha! It's like therapy! Thanks, as ever, for all your efforts.

I switched to Reaper from Pro Tools 3 years ago. I love Reaper, and Kenny is the man in Reaper. The best videos by a mile, his knowledge is quite amazing. Reaper is far more stable than Pro Tools, and installation is straight forward, no iLok thank God. I just invested in SSL UF8 , UC1, UF1 SSL12 hardware consoles, and after trying so hard to use that incredibly powerful console digital and analogue system, they didn't integrate enough with Reaper, so it's not very useful, and the workflow is seriously laggy and full of dead buttons and dials that do nothing and cannot be programmed. Defeats the purpose of having the hardware. As an experiment, I reinstalled ProTools and connected SSL gear. The integrations are worlds apart and although in the box, I prefer Reaper, but with the lack of hardware integration by manufacturers like SSL not taking Reaper seriously enough, I have to go back to Pro Tools.

Not sure this works with SSL hardware but have you tried to use Mackie MCU protocol or one of the existing extensions (CSI, Drivenbymoss...) that work with controllers and allow to customize them ?
@Tokolele I did a lot of reading on that as I didn't want to go back to Pro Tools at all.
