Did you use any other DAWs before Reaper? Reaper Mouse is so different from logic and Studio One. I went from Logic to studio one easy, but reaper is just so different.
Pro Tools was my primary DAW before I switched to Reaper. You can modify the mouse settings to function the way you like it. Open the preferences menu and look for mouse modifiers.
It’s the free version for Reaper called global sampler. It runs in the background always recording the last 60 seconds of audio going through my master (excluding the click track). I really like it and highly recommend it.
