Supercharged FJ Cruiser w/Custom Overland Trailer - Full Walkaround

- We recently had a visit from Rob and Crissi Knasel of Triad Expeditions (@triadexpeditions). Rob gave us the tour of their customized and supercharged FJ Cruiser that has more muscle for hauling their gear off-road. We also get the tour of their custom built overland teardrop trailer that features: reinforced under armor, rugged fendors, two mountain bike racks, grill holder, holds a full tandem kayak, and more.
Also, stay tuned in the next couple weeks as we outfit the Triad crew with some solid gear organizers.

Thank you mentioning the Scheel-Mann seats! I road trip from VA to NC (7-8 hour trip) to visit family. And the stock 08 FJC seats are not comfortable, I am definitely looking into these because of the lumbar and arm-rest options alone!

Love your Fj , just wanted to let you know my FJ is a 2007 with a Magnuson supercharger. I have no problems at all with it and love it.

Nice build and doesn't seem like it's superfluous. You see so many builds that have stuff just to have it.
You don't think a caravan and a gas BBQ isn't excessive?.
Amazing. But, you need to get those battery terminal leads on the aux trailer batteries covered up, all those metal parts bouncing around and it is bound to arc the terminals.
maybe you missed the metal bracket around and on top the battery's it looks to be very well built.
What front bumper and wheels are those?
What gears did you go with?
LOVE this set up, need info of your supercharger, where, what brand and how much? I have a 2007 that needs this. Thank you.
He said the brand is Magnuson, and that it was a limited-run made for a forum group he was a part of. They got like 10 FJ owners together and did a group buy of some kind. He also talked about the programming being tricky because there were 3 different engines in his year (2010). I would talk to him for more details @triadexpeditions on Instagram.

Not sure I know of the seat company you talked about, "Slowman"? I have looked at Corbeau, Recaro, Carid and Sparco. Some are racing and sparecly padded, but Corbeau seem comfy. Any thoughts?

We believe Scheel Mann, but you would need to confirm with Triad Expedtions.
TRD / Toyota used to have contract with magnuson to build the supercharger but now you can just buy direct from them
Were can you get those gas tanks? I have a 16 4runner and would love 60 gallons on board

I own a 05 tj jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon i have heavily modified cure wt 3900 gross 4600 i went to cat sale i now weigh 5800 i also put supercharger on my 4.0 i had problems with codes but i wonder how much you weigh now
I am a jeep lover 4 life but i just bought a 2007 toyota fj cruiser 6 speed manual i could not pass on due to the rare find od a 6 speed manual i got for 7500 very high miles but who care just overhaul the engine ive seen fj go for much higher sales on base models i can flip this if i want to double my money but that not my plan i just love offroad rides i also onw a 06 jeep commander 5.7 4in superlift i teally love this ride too but anyway you have a real nice setup and not being a follower but having your own that make others want to copy
That where a lot of that weight is coming from 60 gallons!?! Where they going where there will not be gas for 900 Miles?
Just my shoulder burns on long drives. Never my back,neck etc.
Used to have that until I ditched leaving my hand on the 10 o'clock position and rested it down on 7.

That means an awning that opens to 270 degrees, or 3/4 of a circle.
