  • Few bass baits provide the sheer versatility and fish-catching ability of a soft jerkbait. Fluke-style plastics like the ZOOM Super Fluke make the top of the list; Wired2Fish's Kyle Peterson demonstrates why in this action-packed video covering how to catch bass on the bank and scatted along extensive glass flats.
    Warming and high water have sent droves of bass into the grassy shallows where Kyle is able to work a weedless Texas-rigged soft jerkbait with ease. Beyond fishing clean, the plastic imitates a myriad of baitfish, making it a stealthy imitator that kids to seasoned pros alike can catch largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass on.
    Peterson shares the details of his rod, reel and line setup, as well as his favorite color for the situation. He also hits on some other excellent Fluke rigging tips such as a proven treble hook line-through option ( • How to Rig Soft Jerkba... ) as well as the double fluke rig (aka donkey rig): • The Double Fluke Rig |... .

    The underwater shots are very appreciated. As someone coming back into fishing from a boy and not knowing much. It is very nice to have a visual of what I'm buying is actually doing.

    One of my favorite lures!!!
    Caught a 8.9 lb Bass last week here in East TX on a weightless Fluke around heavy moss beds and grass in about 3ft of water.
    Thanks for video!!!

    Flukes used to be one of my go to lures. I dont throw it much any more but i definitely need to get back into it. Imo one of the most versatile lures. I know about a dozen ways to rig one to fish it differently and im sure theres many more

    I love fishing flukes!! My favor day on the water was at Bull Shoals watching about 20 bass stare at it then one just unloads on it!! Great fish catcher!

    @wired2fish - great video! Reminds of spring time bass fishing with the “slug-go” on a straight shank worm hook back in the day!

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  5 лет назад

      Pretty much the same thing! The Slug-Go is still an excellent lure! Thanks for refreshing our mind on it.

    My all time fish producer, weightless, weighted hook, use it as trailer on an underspin. Can't beat it. I'm just getting used to the donkey rig. I prefer the paddle tail type cuz if I need the split tail action I just cut paddle down. Good video thanks for the tips.

    I love flukes. I've found that a nail weight is too heavy so I'll put a trim nail in the tip of it to make it sink a little faster. I'll fish it in the shallow and let it hit the bottom and bass almost always pick it up. Tight lines everybody🐡🐋

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  5 лет назад

      Good tip and an affordable one too. Trim nails can be the perfect amount of weight.

      Nice idea. My watering holes tend to be for drainage so people are driving down in the beds when it dries up so it may not work for my spots, but the rivet should be tire safe, though more work

    Great video! Is 30lb braid on the baitcaster your ideal line weight? I've heard to go at least 40-50lb so it doesn't dig in. I've been contemplating on either 30lb or 50lb on my baitcaster paired with either a 7'3 M or 7'1 MH. I appreciate it! Thanks!

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  3 года назад +2

      Go best of both worlds and fish 40lb! Also technique and geographically specific. M or MH probs best with 40 though.
