@princesscutlawncare - in your experience, how far apart should Tenacity/Speedzone combo application be? I put it down a spot treatment last week, and since noticed that I may have missed some.
George, I applied at Tenacity/Speedzone combo last year and had great success. However, I left both bottles in a plastic tote in my garage this past winter which isn't heated. Do freezing Temps affect their efficacy or not?
Its interesting seeing the difference between ppe recommendations for American to European users of herbicides. American wear trousers European wear appropriate ppe and if contact with skin wash immediately for 20 mins. And when you think that you are spraying a fluid it is going to get absorbed into material then it's going to be against your skin. Maybe you should wear a chem suit if you use this product!!!
@@thecryptoretriever5465, freezing temperatures can decrease their efficiency, it should still be possible to obtain satisfactory results. During the winter months, I recommend storing any liquid product in a heated and well-ventilated area to mitigate any potential impact on performance.
I have used weed B gone on my lawn. It just laughs at it now. With many broadleaf weeds I think I’m going to try the speed zone/tenacity combo this year. Thanks for all the great videos! And hopefully a great lawn next season.
Thanks for the video and demonstration. I'll consider it for future events. Here's a lesson for me: I dethatched my lawn with an electric dethatcher without a bag. It pulled most of the crabgrass incredibly well, but I had to rake all of the clippings, All that did was spread the crabgrass seed all over. Now I have a terrible infestation of CG. I am currently applying 3 Oz of XLR8 and a surfactant mixed with water in a 2-gal sprayer (to cover about 2,000 sqft each 2-gal bottle) to treat it every morning or late afternoon (
FYI, there are herbicides that do NOT play well together, that the net effectiveness is DECREASED. regarding goose grass, i spent several hours pulling it up from a border area of my lawn, and then buried a 4" plastic strip to block further incursions.
Great info and video. Will this mixture also work on Japanese Stilt grass in a lawn? This invasive grass is taking over my lawn and wooded areas of our property.

Great video! What would you recommend for patches of crabgrass that big in a St. Augustine lawn??! I don’t know what to do, should I just go ahead and use quinclorac and apply new sod in its place or what?
I've read that quinclorac kills St Augustine. (Its blades are too similar to crabgrass, so whatever kills one kills the other.) I think that the only approach for crabgrass in St Augustine is to not get it in the first place (i.e. plenty of pre-emergent applied in the spring with 55 degree soil temps), and if you do get it anyway, then tedious manual removal. It's a big pain in my yard. :-/
Glad I was sitting down when you popped up the price of the Pylex. I guess I'll be using the Ortho-type control on my lawn. (Although, I can see where this would be a great benefit to a lawn care company.)

Awesome George! I have been dealing with creeping Charlie and would love to see a “Pyle driver” for it!!! I actually thought I destroyed it last year but it came back in the same spots……maybe the speedzone x tenacity is the ticket?? ……..fighting weeds in the far far west suburbs!!

That $350.00 for the Pylex is over my head, my lawn is 5800 sq feet and crabgrass is running up my as. you can tell it is goose grass by the white discoloration at the base of the stems. its almost like a white bullseye in the clump. It looks distinctly different from crabgrass.
I used to use Acclaim for crabgrass it works excellent but it’s expensive now I use Quinclorac but what would be the reason to mix those two together I think the quinclorac alone should be sufficient, but I guess you might need a second application and by adding that second pesticide that would probably eliminate the second application. Also, another question can you mix SpeedZone with quinclorac
This mix is for extreme cases, 99% of people will be just fine using only quinclorac. Also I would not mix speedzone and quinclorac as they are both group 4 herbicides which will make that combo pretty hot.

I know the mixing bottle is labeled toxic, but it may be best to avoid showing using of a drink bottle to premix herbicides after watching this: ruclips.net/video/0VtUGoGZtI8/видео.html
👍
Thats nothing. Crabgrass on my new home's entire yard is like the densest TTTF lime carpet I've ever seen. All .7 acres of it. My 3 spots that are not crabgrass are all smaller than your crabgrass spot.
I didn't know why the lot had so much dirt in the winter. So i put down KBG seed in May and sprayed around some tenacity. It germinated well, than got absolutely wrecked under the crabgrass bloom. I just put down two gallons of Quinclorac and a half gallon of Glyphosate. Hoping i can get to bare dirt by September for a reseed.
The Bayer did nothing to the crabgrass! Even after 2 applications!
Baking soda
I heard about that, it works well for you?
@@PrincessCutLawnCare Yes, down to the roots. I am in Florida. Need to be careful. May kill grass too if not salt tolerant. It kills zoysia but not my st. augustine.
41% Glyphosate works well too George. That's of course if you have Scotts ProVista KBG lol. Always a great video when Princess Cut Lawn Care makes a video 👍🏻💚🦸🏻♂
haha thanks keith!
