It's a trick with sourdough bread baking so the chlorine in the tap water doesn't kill the good bacteria and yeast in the starter.👍
There is no way I'm going to pay extra money to buy distilled water to spray it on my lawn, when I have tap water at home. The only bottled water that I'm paying for is my drinking water, not distilled water to put on my grass. When it rains, what are you going to do? What is your opinion about using Milorganite because it has 6% iron? It does not have the 6% iron every year. It seems like every other year you can find Milorganite with iron.
You said to water after 4 hours. How long is too long to wait when watering? Also, how much water is best? A quick spray with a hose or a full on soak with a sprinkler?
Great advice as always, my understanding is “and I’m happy to be corrected” grass does not absorb moisture, the roots do, so no point in the iron mixture sitting on the blades of grass, as it needs to soak into the ground for the roots to absorb, would it be a good idea to cut the grass short to help get the mixture to the soil?
How often can this be applied/ is there a temperature threshold when laying this down. ? Can I use this formula after I've applied Scott's weed and feed.
Great job on the directions. I'm going to do this as you laid out. I'm going to add PGR as you discussed. Question: Do you think adding a surfactant would help or hurt the process? I cut the lawn today. Going to do all this tomorrow. Big Thanks
Adding a surfactant will definitely help as it's a foliar application. There were already so many things going into this, I didn't want to make it even more complicated
Surfactants I believe are a crucial component with anything you spray! Pesticides, herbicides, you name it. Surfactants along with aeration are also great for breaking up thatch, fairy rings and drainage. We have 5 acres of finish lawn (tall fescue, no irrigation) so detaching isn't an option. Along with liquid iron I add bulk bags of Epsom salt (magnesium) for an extra kick!
Foliar applications are best done right after the dew has dried off or just after the break of evening. This is the time that stomates, known as stomata, are open. Just as pores act in our skin, so too do stomata in the epidermis of leaves.

Hey buddy! Amazing video composition! I enjoyed watching it. What type of grass is that? Is perennial rye or kbg? And in which state are you? I'll try the product next year since my lawn isn't looking great right now.
Hey man, great video, couple questions though: when you said you had high pH because you have hard water, are you taking that mix water straight from hot water tank? And if so, are you running a water softener upstream of that? I ask because my experience with hard water out here is that its hard because it has so much iron in it, so you might be doing more work than you need. Just a thought, if your regular cold tap water is also a high pH then don't worry about nothing. Like the vid though,
hey, i stumbled upon your video. my lawn is in very bad shape. its dry, thin and have bald spots. i found your information to be very useful. i was going to run a dethatcher, aerator and overseed and your video changed all that. Is it still a good time to do the nitrogen boost. I am buying ammonium nitrate as u suggested.
Thanks, I'm putting a little more effort into the videos these days. Hopefully this is what you can expect going forward with most videos! pH meter is a must if you're putting down iron
Bro thank you so much for letting me use your photo. You lawn is un-f*cking-real. Still jealous about how deep of a green you get. Iron can't even catch me up lol
My grass is a dirty yellow color in a lot of places and has a lot of rust in other areas. It’s disease ridden because my area receives a lot of rain and my yard is super shady.
New subscriber and enjoying the vids so far! I don’t have a backpack sprayer but I do have a fogger/mister. Any disadvantages to using this vs. a sprayer? Thanks
I have a few questions, if I may. 1. How do you determine the mix ratio? In other words, how do you know to mix 1.5oz of Feature per gallon to cover 1,000sf, and .1 oz of citric acid per gal for 1,000sf? 2. My backpack spayer holds 4 gallons. How did you determine the time it takes to empty your sprayer, so you can figure out a walking pace that will cover 4,000sf? 3. You mention to water after 4 hours of the product sitting on the blades. What will happen if you don't water? If rain is expected the next day, would that be okay?
You need to calibrate your sprayer, test to see how long it takes a gallon to spray out. Walk your area you want to spray with water so you can learn your walking pace.

Nice edit dude!
I’ve used Liquid Iron and it just doesn’t work unless its early in the growing season. I’ve done tests towards the Summer, during Summer and late Summer and nothing. But Fall/Spring works pretty good. I have TTTFescue
Interesting. I've never had a problem getting green up even in the middle of summer. The only issues I've had is when my water pH was too high.
didnt notice a difference in my bernuda after spraying with ur formula, purchased all products in the vid from sprayer to solutions.... maybe the rubber boots make the diff... i didnt use the boots
@@Un-Known-X You did? You could've just bought a bag of fertilizer with all the chemicals already in it. It would have saved you a lot of time and money.
Some sweet new editing skills going on! Enjoyed that one and just bought myself a ph reader
Thanks, I'm putting a little more effort into the videos these days. Hopefully this is what you can expect going forward with most videos! pH meter is a must if you're putting down iron
Nice videography skills! I can't believe your neighbor actually called you a psycho, haha! Mine only think it.
Haha she's half joking but probably more serious than I give her credit for 😂😂
Dat drone shot in the intro tho...😂
Video production and lawn, both top notch man!!
Bro thank you so much for letting me use your photo. You lawn is un-f*cking-real. Still jealous about how deep of a green you get. Iron can't even catch me up lol
@@LAWNLIFE your color is INSANE!! The iron level in my native soil is off the charts, so I'm basically cheating. I don't even need to apply it lol
Hello Jessie! Great video sir. Any surfactant needed in the mix?
Thanks my friend,
Sean.
Cooking Yo! Mr White😂
🤣🤣🤣
also the ph tester a plus my ph from tap water is over 8 so used the citric acid and works great.
Excellent video, will be trying this soon
Great job. Reagrds from Poland
Poland? WOW. Thanks for tuning in man!
☀Great video!! Iron did a great job on the greenup. 😎
Thanks for watching man. Iron is a must in the summer!
@@LAWNLIFE what is the MAX temp you find where Liq iron doesnt hurt the turf?
I found over 85f..it dings the turf....
Wow!! Your neighbors called you crazy foreal? Jealous!! Don't understand why people don't realize that lawn work can be Therapeutic
Haha. She says it all the time. Half joking, half not lol. 🤷♂️
Love your videos man! How often would u do this application?
Nice video, but are you doing this steps on spring, because I came from the video about fall nitrogen blitz. What is PGR 🤔 Thank you.
Nice Job and love your channel! By the way I had a dog who adored named Emmitt:
How often do you apply it
Bro is fully stocked up on PPE and I'm out there spraying in a tshirt and shorts 😆😆
Your neighbors must hate on you, Great Arial shot!!!
When should this be applied with a mow? Can I give a fresh mow and apply right after?
Nice!!!
How often do you apply?
Once a month?
Your lawn is beautiful, is that kbg and where did you buy it
My grass is a dirty yellow color in a lot of places and has a lot of rust in other areas. It’s disease ridden because my area receives a lot of rain and my yard is super shady.
New subscriber and enjoying the vids so far! I don’t have a backpack sprayer but I do have a fogger/mister. Any disadvantages to using this vs. a sprayer? Thanks
Thanks I’ll try those techniques
Nice video bro, keep it up!
That’s awesome. Love the humor😂
So well done. Gotta try this!!!
Wake up......
How do you get those alternating color rows up and down the lawn?? Thanks!
How often should this be applied
We mow the grass as high as we can to be honest we use that def this year and its amazingly darker
