What people don't seem to understand is that safety shorts shouldn't be seen. They should be just an extra in case of an accident, NOT part of the outfit. Edit: omg came back after a month and saw all the likes. thanks!
Martina Ruiz so let me get this clear. You dont mind the fact that the actual shorts and skirts they’re wearing are so short to the point were you probably see their underwear if it weren’t for the safety shorts,
This is why I’m really grateful for Chungha’s team. Her stylists always dress her up so beautifully, she looks comfortable on stage and is able to perform well but at the same time she’s very sexy and attractive because it fits her personality and songs. I wish other stylists would do the same.
Sorry, but she has to look comfortable on stage even if the clothes is uncomfortable. Every idol has to, but not all of them really can. It's not about stylists, it's about professionalism of the artist. This is part of their job.
Malonori Lime how can you look comfortable if you have to pull up your top every 20 seconds so your chest isn’t exposed or even worse have your but cheeks showing if you don’t pull down your skirt because they’re so ill fitted. They have to perform and dance and their clothes should let them do that without potentially exposing private areas. Unless you stand still, clothes move when you dance, it’s not realistic at all.
When i watch the performances of certain female groups i cannot concentrate on the dance because i'm to worry about the short clothes and i clearly see the discomfort on their faces. With chungha and mamamoo it does not happen! I enjoy the performances because they have fun and you don't see them worried!
Wish stylists knew that you dont need to wear revealing clothes to be sexy, like chungha's dress for gotta go and her outfits were a really decent length, they covered a lot of her body yet they were form fitting and chungha naturally pulled off the sexy concept really well because shes a stunning woman. a bad example of this is how Rose wore a sweater dress that looked beautiful for I think playing with fire once, it was form fitting and rose is very attractive...but the dress was too short, she was seen tugging the dress down I believe. another good thing tho is Mamamoo, someone here says that they choose their own outfits. I've never seen Moonbyul look uncomfortable and shes dressed appropriately (granted ive only been a fan since 2016 so correct me if im wrong saying that moonbyul wasnt uncomfortable with her clothes types)
Something to add is that Chung is a solo performer at a relatively small company and she’s a really popular artist for the company so of course they are gonna put more effort in styling and things. There are only really 2 artist in the company including Chungha. It’s easier for them to focus a lot on Chungha but other companies even the big companies have it x20 harder. Like if a family had so many kids and really active lives then it’s hard to be fair to everyone. Society is also unpredictable so it’s a race to be at the top and there are things you can’t pay attention to.
Man I hate when I see female idols wearing short and revealing clothes! Especially when you can tell they are uncomfortable :( I hope stylists can ask if they are comfortable before picking their outfits. They are not dolls that you can dress up in whatever you want. And also those clothes are better for photo shoots and stuff, not for dancing.
Jinsol of April spoke up on her Instagram once saying that she is not comfortable with these fancams focusing on her body and slowed down and she asked for this to stop. She is underage anyways... I personally really hate this concept of "fancam culture". (Not all fancams are sexualized though)
And who the hell is the choreographer?!? I feel like the perverted top dogs just suggest to companies what kind of dance moves they want to see the girls do. Some dance moves don’t even make sense??? Like rocking back and forth? And I recently watched ioi’s “very” performance and in the start of the song some members with their backs to the audience just bent over and basically shoved their booty in the audiences face. ..While they were wearing very short shorts. The dance moves don’t make sense and to me it doesn’t look interesting. It’s an attempt to sexualize the idols. I mean I did read somewhere that the producer or director of the show produce101 saw the show as “wholesome pornography”. It’s no wonder they throw in weird dance moves in the performance here and there that aren’t even artistic. It’s just for sex appeal. But idk u can do sexy moves just make it make sense? Idk lol There’s nothing wrong with your sexuality and being sexy. But some of these girls are reaaallly young and some underage. and being portrayed this way may not even be their decision.
@@leviloveserwin1809 Levi Loves erwin April's choreographies aren't even sexy at all. But people still sexualize/ed Jinsol a lot. I mean she is tall and all but she is still very young. I still agree with you though. You have a point. I also don't understand some of AOA and EXID's dance moves (no hate). But some of their dances are really awkward and weird to me. This also applies to male idols as well. I sometimes feel really bad for EXO's Kai. I mean I hope he is confident and happy about his performances but I sometimes wonder how he feels about being sexualized this much. I noticed his chest is almost always exposed on stage and he always performs sexily (I think this also applies to Jimin and some more idols). I mean yes, I also think Kai is the most attractive member of EXO, and he is a really great dancer with so much charisma, but personally, I am kinda bored and it sometimes makes me uncomfortable and sad (it might be just me?) because it makes me feel like his company or choreographer and stylist or whoever is in charge think that's all he is for (which is not true) Maybe they should stop sexualizing him that much? :( (I feel like what I typed is very confusing, I just don't know how to word things so I apologize)
The stylists should atleast give girl idols safety pants 🙁🙁 ( they usually do but sometimes they dont so i hope they give the all the girls safety pants
@@MiNa-nb7hu most of the times they do They don't for momoland and other groups from shady companies but most girlgroups i stan(which is a lot) do wear them
Regarding short skirts, there is also the practice of giving idols blankets to wear in their laps for interviews. That's a kind accommodation for the idols, but it does point out the scandalous nature of the styling.
Girls that wear long pants often have the blanket on the lap, as well. I'm not Korean, so I don't know if the blanket thing is part of the general culture or not. Like when you school girls on Korean TV wearing sweatpants and skirts, at the same time. Is that a tv thing or is that a general culture thing? If it's a general culture thing is it a style thing or did it serve a particular purpose?
the blankets are to prevent upskirt shots from different camera angles and keep them warm as sets are often air conditioned. even medium length skirts have the potential for upskirt shots on broadcast if you move your legs or shift while sitting, so it's important that the company protects their idols from having someone have that kind of footage.
I've seen these things a lot in korean videos that aren't of idols, I see girls covering their legs a lot when wearing skirt. One girl said it was just incase you could see underwear from certain angles and sometimes because it is cold.
yeah, that's one thing I never got, too. Singing and dancing in almost non-existant clothes is ok (while cameras lower than the stage focus on every detail), sitting legs closed in long and harmless outfits during an interview requires a blanket, even if it is in a studio where cameras are above waist hight.
You do realise some, if not many girls like feeling sexy and being acknowledged for their talent and beauty? Lots of people nowadays wear much more revealing clothes than they used to in previous decades. It’s only wrong to do sexy outfits and dances if the artist is uncomfortable, otherwise it’s fine. Don’t be a prude... pretty sure you sexualise others without even realising it.
@@sommerblume9671 We love to feel sexy and being acknowledged but when it comes to dancing and singing on stage, the stylists should keep in mind how the idol feels. You don't have to wear extra short clothes to feel sexy. And most of the idols were uncomfortable with their dresses.
I'd be very uncomfortable to wear such clothes if I was an idol because I'm underage. Same case as yeji and yuna of itzy. They get a lot sexual comments. It disgusts me
Danice Lobrin exactly! Lia’s outfit with the loose pants and the tube top with straps was nice and it wasn’t anything crazy and she was still beautiful and comfortable!
@@danicemarielobrin It reminds me of tzuyu in sixteen too. Tzuyu had to wear a revealing and sexy oufit while doing sexy posture/dance. JYP is really something....

Stellar hated the sexy concept. One girl can’t even drink milk after they tricked her into letting it drip down her; none of the girls question the video until they saw it.
sensitive pisces It wasn’t soft core porn but they were most definitely tricked into doing inappropriate things. As long as they’re over 21 and consent to these concepts, IDC, if I don’t like it I can turn it off. What was done to Stellar was not ok, by any means.
Positive Echo when they weren’t making enough money the company tried to get them to do actual porn but they were firm about not doing it. In the documentary released one of the girls said that they were tricked in to doing soft core porn. They didn’t consent, They have talked about how they didn’t want to do certain choreography and didn’t want to dress so sexually but they were tricked and made to do it.
sensitive pisces Yeah, see, I didn’t know that. I thought people were referring to their MVs as softcore porn. Again, that’s not ok. What documentary? Where can I find it?
Mamamoo get to pick they own outfits especially they pick some from they own closet i think thats the only group i know that get to pick they own clothing most of the time
I'm not sure about the other members, but I've seen a couple of clips with Hwasa saying that she gives some input on the clothes she wears. And in home alone, she also said that some of the clothes she wore during performance are her own clothes. This is why Mamamoo can do sexy concepts without making both the performer and the viewer uncomfortable. They aren't forced to do or wear something sexually suggestive.
@@rulialee9802 Hwasa says on one stage they all picked a outfit to wear from they own closet i think with clothes they can wear whatever they want as long as it match the concept like they can wear they own clothes if they want to
Not even a stan but just from watching them on some award shows I can tell each of them choose their own outfits because I just love how they are styled differently. My favorite is Moonbyul's btw hihi
Stellar: i think you should do a video about what went down and how they were actually forced to do sexy concept or they would starve to death because they were poor and one girl got anxiety from the sexual ways she was forced to drink milk it reminds her of dark times it was awful 😞❤ Edit:oml I had no idea this many people had seen this comment but basically there was a whole instance where money is tight since u have been training and stuff and their videos wouldnt get many views so company forced them to sexualise their selves and the milk thing was a sexual innuendo thing and it was supposed to be like 'sexy' but she has since got anxeity about it sorry I hadn't replied in a while 💜
@@briciolaa i think there is a video on what happened to stellar. it said sth about how they struggled as a band and their former concept failed. so their company sexualized them to an extreme point. they were basically viewed as cheap and other stuff u can imagine..... but it wasnt their choice. so the act of drinking milk, which in the video marionette was this weird moment, overly sensual and in the context it just looked like u know sexual. just watch it. the girl said she was suppossed to look like she was thinking of someone while drinking milk. so after being scrutinized for an image they were forced onto and personally never wanted, im sure drinking milk is just not the same anymore. those contracts are brutal and it must have felt like a violation seeing the final cut of their videos. allegedly of course. again there is a whole video on yt on that.
@@briciolaa Hi can I reply for her? Well actually one of the member were asked to drink milk and have to intentionally spill some milk slowly from her mouth (Idk how to explain) and she didn't thought of anything but when the MV comes out the member that drink the milk and were being asked to spill some milk out of her mouth, she was being potray as sexist and porn kind of Video in the MV. Since then, she was traumatized to drink milk. If I'm not mistaken it was Gayoung.
@@ahsrns19 It was their maknae, Jeonyul, who was 18 at the time if I'm not mistaken. Curiously she was the only member who owned the sexy concept, you can see in their lives that she enjoys it but that scene on the Marionette MV was something beyond that. Their leader Gayoung said she didn't like the sexy concept and had to think of it as acting to be able to go on stage. Minhee is visibly uncomfortable most of the time. The way their agency handled their career was just really bad in regards to this. What's make it worse is that their songs were really good and in an ideal world shouldn't need that to earn them success. Marionette itself is a bop if you can overlook the miserable lyrics.
@@tiff_biell I see. Thanks for correcting me. Hehe 😁 Anyway, yeah their company was too absurd & not justifying them the right way. It was too sexy and the fact that all their mother's friends keep on asking and look at them as adulteress somehow make my heartbreak (Gayoung told before in an interview) I wish them all are happy now.
Irene dancing has regressed and I think it's because of how she is styled. She can't go all out if she can't trust the clothes she is wearing will stay on
fr, yeri and irene was part of the dance line of sm rookies but they dont dance all out because of their clothes, but i think sm improved regarding this???
I didn’t know that fancams were like this since I usually use them to learn dances. I feel so bad for these girls and it’s disturbing that people watch fancams for these reasons.
It’s not about “oh girls love to see male idol’s abs, hyped them up if they took off their shirts” and so on but it is about female idol’s safety. If they feel comfortable wearing those revealing clothes then it’s totally fine. But most of the female idols are forced to wear it and they ended up got all the critism, knetz backlash, sexual harassments from “pervert”. I feel bad for them.
I think although companies forcing male idols to take of their shirts or act sexy is obviously a big problem, in korea theres a double standard. Women would be called whores, hoes, ect. ... but for men everyone just fangirls and that's it.
sleepyvenus “but for men everyone just fangirls and that’s it” 🤔 that’s why girls are asked to not wearing revealing clothes, not just in korea but all over the world. cause when the boys did that, there’s nothing happened to them. 🤷🏻♀️
@@firstwz i dont get it tho,so for males its fine bcoz fangirls go crazy over it and also make very perverted comments but when its the other way around its a no, and ofc i get the body parts that could be shown are different but its the same thing, ofc i dont want either to be treated this way its gross and the fans who make very sexual comments on their bodies are gross
Jaymee Renee everyone make “perverted comments” when it comes to reveal clothes issue but the male idols *barely* get sexual harassments, unlike female idols/girls. Boys usually selling/spreading girls or female idols’s video/pics into their groupchats/darkside accs. + Knetz/kfans are just hilarious. And women’s rights doesn’t work for every country. That’s what i meant, sorry.
@@firstwz ah okay I kinda get what u mean although I understand a lot of dark shit probably happens with their videos I think it can be the same way with male idols? I feel some of the stuff I see could be considered sexual harrasment for male idols but then again it's probably just very inappropriate comments made on them and I could be dead wrong, I truly understand what these female idols go through and I stand with them but I just don't get why ppl don't talk about the male idol situation and they tend to get away with being very sexy while female idols get called sluts but yeah as u said there's a lot of sexism in Korea and not many woman's rights in those kind of countries
You guys do realize that even if it's the stylist who chooses the outfit, the stylists also has instructions to dress the idols a certain way. It's not the stylist's fault, it's the kpop industry's.
Sometimes stylish are really crazy like they give idols super uncomfortable clothes and it is quite clear that some idols are uncomfortable while performing with those outfits and the world is full of creepy guys who can sexualise idols in a high level so I can somehow feel how much uncomfortable rather scary it is to perform with uncomfortable clothes. Idols are humans too. Anyways Grace your styling sense is seriously amazing.❤❤
Actually, for the Stellar situation specifically, one of the members actually came out and said they didn’t mind wearing the revealing clothes at first. They didn’t see a problem and actually kind of liked them. It wasn’t until they started to get such massive backlash from the public that they began to feel uncomfortable with such revealing and tight clothes, but at that point the company didn’t care about their wishes and just kept pushing it further and further because they just wanted to make money off of the group any way they could.
MissBliss so more specifically to clarify a few details. Stellar never wanted to wear these clothes, that was one of the major problems. They were given the clothes and told that it was just to see how’d they look and took a few photos, as well as other photos in other clothing. They weren’t told that the revealing photos would be used until it was released. The reason they said they didn’t mind it at first was because the company told them to say that. The members couldn’t shit talk the company especially after the concept change brought in money. Members even said they didn’t realize how dirty some stuff because they weren’t told. They obviously had to go with it
sexyangel072 Well actually the information I know came out after the girls had already left the company and one of the members started her own RUclips channel and talked about her time in Stellar. So there was no fear of badmouthing the company, all of the contracts had already ended. Like I stated before, she said herself that the girls didn’t mind the outfits AT FIRST because they didn’t see them as overly sexy but instead as an outfit similar to leotards (outfits that ballet dancers wear), so they didn’t see anything wrong with wearing those types of outfits. While it is true that the members were lied to about other things, like how they were gonna be portrayed to the public, I was specifically just mentioning the outfits that they wore since that’s what this video is about and Stellar was mentioned. They did however become very uncomfortable in the outfits they were forced to wear in later years, which I also said in my previous comment. Hope this clears up any confusion :)
MissBliss I know the interview you’re referring to, but the not minding the leotard at first comment came while they were still in the group. I also gave information from after they left the group. Also, they can still fear bad mouthing the company as libel laws are strict in Korea. My comment about bad mouthing the company was meant to say that couldn’t say they didn’t agree with the company or else it would look bad for the group AND the company. I’ll post the link in a separate comment since links usually get marked as spam. But this is the quote from the interview Gayoung did. Gayoung went on to share another story about a time that STELLAR had felt somewhat blindsided by their agency. “When we were preparing [for our comeback with] ‘Vibrato,’ they told us on the day of the shoot to try on these [revealing] new outfits,” she explained. “We said, ‘There’s no way we can dance while wearing these [outfits].’ They replied, ‘Just try them on. Why would you say no without even trying them on?’ “So we [tried on the outfits] and took only five photos or so while wearing them. Then, [after looking at the photos, we said,] ‘See? These outfits are too much.’ They told us, ‘Okay, change into something else.’ But they ended up using those photos for the release.” “After we saw that they had been released, we called [our agency] and argued, ‘What happened?'” recalled Gayoung. “They said, ‘You didn’t know? Okay, then we won’t do that kind of thing from now on.’ But what could we do? The photos had already been released.” She added with a sad smile, “I think they knew that all of the members were too nice and innocent [to argue].”
I actually want to become a kpop stylist (or jpop) because i love creating clothes and its super fun to make a theme and like follow a concept cuz aesthetic!! But i think its a little unethical to not allow the artists to put an opinion on the clothes, i think its important for an artist to be comfortable on stage so they can give their best preformance. Plus i know some girls like me personally love to show off skin but there are girls who prefer to be more conservative so their comfort zone should be considered as well as their personal style to show who they are as well. This is just what i would do if i became a stylist, hopefully one day! Edit: also grace its my 21st birthday today!!! I love you girl! if you replied i would cry like a mothafucker 🥺🥺
This happens so often to Twice 😔 Sometimes the clothes are too revealing and you can tell some of the girls don't like it, sometimes they're uncomfortable, sometimes they literally fall apart (I swear, there's a whole compilation here on RUclips of their clothes breaking on stage, especially Momo's)
I agree. I won't even speak of Jeongyeon's stylist, cuz her clothes on stage are tragic. I noticed that with Momo, and I often see Sana just squeezed into her dress at her shoulder area. Same with Jihyo, I don't believe she puts much padding in her bra, but a lot of outfits make her look bigger and sometimes the neck is so low you can actually see her boob. It's- yeah.
Is not only the girls that have this fancams, boys also have fancams that are inappropriate, there is a suga's fancam were it's "focused" in his private area and have a lot of views. But we all know that the problem comes when there is more fancams on girl groups than on boys, I don't say that we should make fancams were the boys are wearing thigh pants that we can clearly notice his business, but to try to not make them popular, it could be good like in the case of exid but in my opinion if a fancam goes really popular should be because of the talent of the idol not by focusing on inappropriate parts, sorry for my english😅
I saw a discussion about male idol sexualization on a forum. One of the comments said, "all men don't care if they get sexualized instead they would be happy if they knew thousands of women lusting after them". Well, as a guy, this is absolutely UNTRUE. There's some men are like that, but I'm not. I'm not happy if I'm sexualized, I would be depressed and anxious all the time. I'm not a kind of person who is confident because I have handsome face, sexy body or anything like that. I'm not interested in all of that and I think it's very superficial. I prefer if people love me because of my personality and because I did something that makes their lives better. But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that BTS is superficial. BTS is one of the most positive kpop groups I've ever seen. They're not all about being handsome, sexy and etc but they spread positive messages such as being confident with yourself and love who you are. In conclusion, it is not okay to sexualize kpop idols, whether they're female or male.
I feel disgusted by the clothes, I hate the company using the bodies for popularity like can you not make women look like sexual objects. They need to make things longer and make them feel comfortable on stage. It’s like walking on stage with no pants or underwear like that very uncomfortable. Please do them a favor and let them be comfortable.
I love watching fancams to see my faves specifically performe. It's hard with stages to see them perform because of the crazy ass camerawork. I'm not surprised that mostly men make it creepy. And with Stellar, the company pushed them so hard to be sexy. I'm pretty sure the members have come out and said it made them uncomfortable but they needed the attention to survive.
I think it's not bad for girls to wear sexy or revealing outfits but a) they must be comfortable in it and b) they shouldn't be minors... I believe that people shouldn't make sexual comments about minors eaither way and they should first search the age of the idol before having such thoughts about them but also portraing minors in such way especially when they don't have a say in it is absolutelly disgusting.
You know when Idols wearing short/sexy clothes is hot? When they're comfortable. There's nothing sexier than when an Idol is feeling themselves on stage and looking comfortable in their outfits. You can tell when someone just wants to die because of what they're wearing and that makes it uncomfortable and hard to watch.
Stellar members said that they were forced to sexy concepts an they were forced to act sexual. They were mentally abused and traumatised. It got so worse that the members requested their fans to not listen to their song so that their company disbands them.
i don’t really care what the idols wear, comfortable or not, i think it’s more bullshit that a lot of them go through hell to get where they are and they still don’t get paid nearly enough for it. meanwhile entertainers in north america get boatloads of cash for being lazy pos by comparison.
The music industry in america is completely different than in korea ,your comparing apples to oranges. There're plenty of artist in america that have busted their ass to get where they are today, just like the idols in korea have. It's very biased and judgmental to put down or discredit someone's sacrifices and success by comparing them with someone else. The expectations, standards and requirements are different in each country. I'm a big fan of kpop myself but I don't see the need in bashing other artists or genres because of it.
That is true but part of the bullshit they go though is being forced to wear clothes they dont feel comfortable with. Also acting in certian ways to keep their job. I like Mamamoo because they seem like they are allowed to be themselves more & I like the authenticity. Some rappers from groups are allowed to not have to be so girly sexy too but keeping up a persona has to be exhausting; that's without the judgement from others & all the other problems within the industry.
I personally like fancams because they allow me to focus on members I specifically like, or on the full performance with no annoying camera movements. For example the deja vu choreography of Dreamcatcher looks SO much better with a fixed camera on all of the group imo!
It looks humiliating for the girls at times, some of them really hold it up well - but it should be a balance. Like they should have some say or safe guarding against feeling awkward about revealing clothing in the beginning, or have an idea what you're signing up for in black and white ink. As a woman i hate womens bodies and clothing being policed, but fan cams can SOMETIMES feel like a few rungs below molka - like it gives people expectations and may fuel tastes for content where women are in compromising outfits etc.
Stellar's situation was pretty upsetting. One of the members, Gayoung did an interview a while back where she talked about how the company frequently tricked and misled them into filming things that were more sexual than they expected. An example that she gave was during the filming of Marionette, their maknae (who I think was only 19) had to get out of bed, go to the fridge and get milk and spill milk onto herself while drinking. The members were told that the girl had just woken up and was getting breakfast and was spilling the milk because she was exhausted, however when it was edited together, they had sexualised the part where she was drinking milk to look like something else and this girl was so traumatised by this that she has completely avoided drinking milk since then. And then there was another incident where they were given dresses that were way too short and..either they weren't wearing underwear or it was like flashing the side of their panty line or something - there was a slit on either side of the dress which literally went up to their navels). And they refused to wear them because they were completely inappropriate. They were convinced to try them on because 'they're not as short as they look'. They were then forced to take some test shots in those dresses before being allowed to change into slightly less revealing dresses. Not only were those photos used, iirc, they were the album cover.
Sunbae culture is a pattern I've noticed. There's good Sunbae culture vs bad Sunbae culture ➡ forced drinking, investing money w/ elders who vanish etc.. These KPOP artists NEED a union.
Stellar members have frequently said they really had a bad experience as a group and they felt coerced into doing most of these concepts without their consent and it traumatized some of the members... I mean of course the company wanted to make money but it ended up flopping and it effected the members by painting them with an image that they did not want and people assumed things of them that aren’t true after so yeah I do blame the company
even if the reasons you gave are true like that the clothes are borrowed or that some idols request a certain look, we can't ignore the fact that the main reason as to why female idols wear uncomfortable and revealing clothes it's because of the sexist industry they are in and because companies try to get attention from male fans objectifying women.
2:36 I didn't expect my comment to be read by you Also, I'm not sexualising Nancy, I love her, I was praising her because I've seen so many people call her "fat" and I don't think she is
I usually don't watch fancams (i have obsession of jk fancams tho). But usually many of female fancams I watch, they look so uncomfortable with their dresses? They pull down their dresses every 10 seconds. Or pull up their tops because sometimes the tops go too low. Their dresses are sometimes too tight for them to dance and sing comfortably in them. Momolands fancams are really popular ones but their pants and skirts are too short they have to pull it down time and again. Many stupid creeps are also sexualizing them esp Nancy :( Like dress them in a sexy way but not in too much revealing. Some idols like Sunmi, they're confortable for wearing such dresses but i don't think everyone is. I forgot the gg but they revealed how much bad they felt when the company forced them to wear provocative dresses to earn popularity. Twice is already so successful but their stylists gives them short/revealing dresses they def look uncomfortable while dancing. Also about male idols, i don't think every man wants to thrust in the air with pants as tight which almost looks like its gonna burst or something. I really wish this stops.
Wow after watching this video, I really want to say Thank You so much to SN stylist, whoever you are, Thank you for protect the girls. And Grace thank you for the video, it's like an education about K-pop culture :)
Yo, I tried dancing in a short dress with heels on to see what they go through and just know that they do this not for the fame, but because they love music. CAUSE IT FLIPPING KILLED ME!!!!!!1 The heels were hard to walk in and the dress kept riding up. Respect these idols!!!!!!!!!
I don’t mind when girl groups wear revealing clothes, their body their choice. But sometimes what they wear is impractical or makes them obviously uncomfortable. And that bothers me. Like when it’s 10 degrees outside and the girls are in shorts and a t shirt, they look awesome but everyone can see them shivering. I think stylists should pay more attention to weather or how comfortable an idol is with their outfits.
Strange is a boygroup even can choose what they want to wear and discuss it with the stylist and the sylist know the taste and personaliy of the members... Monsta x and kai exo for example and they nailed and comfortable
@ElJay Lopez I am not sure abt them. Because I am not find a statement abt it from them. I am write monsta x and exo kai beacuse they mentioned themselves that they choose what they want to wear, communicate with the stylist or reverse, and even tell if they not confortable with the cloth. Strange gg hard to have kinda this situation
i haaate when they dont make them wear safety shorts...it scares me how uncomfortable they must feel and the high chances of people filming up their skirts, there have already been many cases of idols being filmed from below cuz of the stage's angle or just disgusting ppl
Sex sells. This is literally never going to change and it's something idols have to embrace. Like Miryo did, like Hwasa did with the red leather costume, like HyunA did many times, they just have to take control of it. It's always gonna be uncomfortable and weird when it's forced upon them specially with clothing that doesn't fit well. But the idea of "forced upon them" is the majority of kpop music, so it's a vicious cycle that we may never see the end of.
I did not know that the asian body type has shorter legs, I can't believe I didn't notice. I am from Scotland (UK) and have very long legs with a bit shorter torso, I also have long arms & are stretched out but narrow, people call me "lanky" as a pet name!
Hi Grace, thank you for another video! I was wondering what your thoughts are on the UK Kpop-inspired group called Kaachi? Their MV was just released. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts as a korean kpop idol who has been through the training system and debuted into the korean music industry.
the comments your friend were saying just astonished me because it feels like no matter what we do, guys always find something to sexualize. it's really disturbing.
The whole entertainment industry is a mess, The choreos the styles all of that are made to feed the sexual fantasies of fans (not all of them) even the shipping thing it's all started by the company I mean they don't plan who's the main vocalist or dancer only but also the main couples in the group and then the fans would go crazy, I wish you could talk about RPS / GBP
I just like fancams to see the dance and stuff. It allows to you to see each member but I can see how some people can look at it a certain way. But tbh I don’t usually watch the ones like in this video.

I hope idols don’t have to wear outfits that make them uncomfortable

Jinsol of April spoke up on her Instagram once saying that she is not comfortable with these fancams focusing on her body and slowed down and she asked for this to stop. She is underage anyways...
I personally really hate this concept of "fancam culture". (Not all fancams are sexualized though)
Yeah it makes me uncomfortable when they zoom up o it or slow it down it's weird
The problem is the companies who make them to wear like that
And who the hell is the choreographer?!?
Idk lol
There’s nothing wrong with your sexuality and being sexy.

민지야~ Oh, interesting. So it is a broader cultural practice. Thank you, 민지씨.
yeah, that's one thing I never got, too. Singing and dancing in almost non-existant clothes is ok (while cameras lower than the stage focus on every detail), sitting legs closed in long and harmless outfits during an interview requires a blanket, even if it is in a studio where cameras are above waist hight.
I personally don't mind fancams as long as they are not sexualising the idols.
Well, that's pretty rare, then.
@@corumeach not really? I find a lot of them

I don't think the problem is the fancam, the problem is the choreography and the clothing, that's what's actually sexualising the idols
The fact that the choreographer and the stylist knowingly make the girls wear sexy outfits and make them do sexual choreos, makes me uncomfortable.
IMO sexy is fine if the idol is comfortable. Like hyuna just yeeting away her performance on a live stage? yes ma'am.

Why would you say no without even trying them on?’
“So we [tried on the outfits] and took only five photos or so while wearing them. Then, [after looking at the photos, we said,] ‘See? These outfits are too much.’ They told us, ‘Okay, change into something else.’ But they ended up using those photos for the release.”
“After we saw that they had been released, we called [our agency] and argued, ‘What happened?'” recalled Gayoung. “They said, ‘You didn’t know? Okay, then we won’t do that kind of thing from now on.’ But what could we do? The photos had already been released.”
She added with a sad smile, “I think they knew that all of the members were too nice and innocent [to argue].”

Those mint shorts literally were underwear wtf
I think it's not bad for girls to wear sexy or revealing outfits but a) they must be comfortable in it and b) they shouldn't be minors... I believe that people shouldn't make sexual comments about minors eaither way and they should first search the age of the idol before having such thoughts about them but also portraing minors in such way especially when they don't have a say in it is absolutelly disgusting.
What’s also sad is when you watch Mml fancams you can see the girls pull their shorts down often

Some rappers from groups are allowed to not have to be so girly sexy too but keeping up a persona has to be exhausting; that's without the judgement from others & all the other problems within the industry.
no one:
GRAZY: this video has 3 million videos
u so cute hahaha
Oopsies hehe😅
GRAZY GRACE i luv u 🥺🤍
EARLY! -- wait thats what you look like in quarantine? damn sis, slay
thats what makeup, clothes and hair does XD
Did anyone else's screen blacked out at around 3:43 ? Or was it just mine?
nah it's the video
Seolhyun is my ultimate bias, she’s super gorgeous and talented! Not only that, but her personality is amazing. 💜
I actually really enjoyed how you're so fluent in English ❤️
She was born in the US
Thanks for the content Grace and lots of love plus support to you!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thanks for watching !!!❤️❤️❤️
I love fan cams because then it help me learn there dance
I mean on the other hand it's ok if the idols themselves are ok with it like mamamoo or hyuna etc
Your outfit is sooooo cute
the one silver lining to this is that Grace found out which of her guy friends to avoid from now on
Stellar members have frequently said they really had a bad experience as a group and they felt coerced into doing most of these concepts without their consent and it traumatized some of the members...
I never actually started thinking about these things but before I only watched fancams to learn the dance better
2:36 I didn't expect my comment to be read by you
Also, I'm not sexualising Nancy, I love her, I was praising her because I've seen so many people call her "fat" and I don't think she is
Your makeup, hair, clothes , accessories and attitude. Perfect match!
Can't take my eyes off , honestly
Respect these idols!!!!!!!!!
stellar members has come out and speak out uncomfortable concepts and outfits, you should make video about it!
I feel bad for this kpop girls.
i totally agree!
7:13 I suddenly remembered Jin's fake love see through outfit
i have been waiting for this video
i always love your inside idol info 👀 and girl, you always look so amazing i love your makeup and outfit
thanks for coming❤️❤️❤️
I don’t mind when girl groups wear revealing clothes, their body their choice. But sometimes what they wear is impractical or makes them obviously uncomfortable. And that bothers me. Like when it’s 10 degrees outside and the girls are in shorts and a t shirt, they look awesome but everyone can see them shivering. I think stylists should pay more attention to weather or how comfortable an idol is with their outfits.
But they dont choose
Kenadi Elise It’s the stylists fault for giving idols impractical clothes
Thank you for your beautiful videos 🥺🥺love you from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Strange is a boygroup even can choose what they want to wear and discuss it with the stylist and the sylist know the taste and personaliy of the members... Monsta x and kai exo for example and they nailed and comfortable
@ElJay Lopez I am not sure abt them. Because I am not find a statement abt it from them. I am write monsta x and exo kai beacuse they mentioned themselves that they choose what they want to wear, communicate with the stylist or reverse, and even tell if they not confortable with the cloth. Strange gg hard to have kinda this situation
Sometimes people use fan cams to learn dances but others like it because some other reasons
i haaate when they dont make them wear safety shorts...it scares me how uncomfortable they must feel and the high chances of people filming up their skirts, there have already been many cases of idols being filmed from below cuz of the stage's angle or just disgusting ppl
The "bouya" each time the dudes comments came got me 🤣🤣
I LOVE Stellar's Rollin' album. The epitome of summer! And their song, Insomnia? MMM! So catchy!
Ive been waiting for this 😭😭
been waiting for yall to see ❤️❤️❤️
I did not know that the asian body type has shorter legs, I can't believe I didn't notice.
Elizabeth Lau Should I do a reaction video?
@@GRAZYTV yes please! That would fantastic!
the first thing i was attracted to was the outfit.
you look so pretty.✨
Its so sad to see them pulling down their short skirt like every 2 seconds :(
finally somebody talking about this topics
But... I just wanna ask this how do they manage during their tuff days I mean periods like how ? It's hell
Wayli did a video about this. When there are big shows coming up a lot of them take pills.
@@de341f6 thanks for the reply 🤗
Keep 2pads?
@@de341f6 oh thanks
I just love your makeup
People disrespect female idols soo much
You looks so pretty with the hair pins 🧸
The group I feel worst for is momoland they have like no safety shorts like give the poor girls some safety shorts
Grace is so gorgeous! 😭 I love her so much.
You look so pretty 🥺💗
thanks for clicking❤️❤️❤️
Grace this hairstyle looks very good on you🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💖💕💖💖💕💖💖💕💖
the comments your friend were saying just astonished me because it feels like no matter what we do, guys always find something to sexualize. it's really disturbing.
I miss your rapp sing.. please rapp again grace eonni ❤️
Bruh we really need the RV stylist to come out and answer why Joy ALWAYS different clothes :^
Mimi xp the answer from the stylist is: joy is too tall and needs different skirts/dresses to fit her.
@@killjoy8637 that's a shit excuse:(
yeah! and also it's kinda disturbing seeing them perform RBB with their super short skirts
omg you are getting prettier in each and every video.... bruh you are so pretty girl :)
Them fans got some nice cameras... but yeah kinda wonder about the stylists though 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you for showing me so much thing I really don't know about Kpop and the idols
I once worked A WHOLE 8 HOUR SHIFT with my blouse backwards 😭😭😭 love your videos!!!
Dang, I just watch fancams sometimes cause I wanna watch the choreography and one of my favorite members or the main dancer
