I think what's bothered me the most about this for the last 10 or so years since I've been into KPOP is, we as fans end up super invested in our idols/biases etc... we care about their feelings, their desires, their needs etc... and to know that they are basically being treated like marketing material rather than the people with hearts and souls that they are, it makes me angry. If I was an idol I’d be scared to announce that I’m dating because of all the hate I would get. I wonder if fans will ever learn that they don’t own the idols and that their precious idols might have or will have a bf/gf and there’s nothing they can do about it. I have so much admiration for idols. The things they go through just for a shot at their dream are shocking. I've heard some people compare it to slave labor and honestly I'd have to agree. Treating people like that shouldn't be allowed, but at the same time it does produce an insane level of talent. That being said I'm really against the way trainees and idols get treated, especially the debt they get put in.

I think what's bothered me the most about this for the last 10 or so years since I've been into KPOP is, we as fans end up super invested in our idols/biases etc... we care about their feelings, their desires, their needs etc... and to know that they are basically being treated like marketing material rather than the people with hearts and souls that they are, it makes me angry. I understand it from a business standpoint but it makes me feel sorry that I enjoy these idols and their performances at the sacrifice of their own lives and wants.
