- Hey everyone, here is a breakdown video on my 1 year ownership milestone. Overall the first year was very cost effective and the cost of ownership was minimal.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires on my Q60 and I feel a big difference!
Bro your so dope man! I love this car fell in love since I seen it once my lease is up on my Honda I’m heading straight for a Q60 !
Every time I see a video from you bro...you make me just wanna drive my 3.0t just for the heck of it
Hey man, definitely recommend the z1 2 piece rotors with the stop tech pads, I have mine for about 6k hard miles on them and they still feel like new, specially when slowing down from very high speeds
I love mine. Felt the weight difference as soon as I drove my Q. Then my 20 lb rims... huge difference from the OEM setup
20k miles and 2 years on my 17 q50 rs AWD. Only Amsoil oil changes here, no issues. Yesss Midwest for the track event!
I own a q50 silver sport. And yes these Dunlop’s are horrible. I feel as if I’m driving a boat at times on how slow it feels on response. Good video keep posting!
Thanks again for your informative videos. I HIGHLY recomend Blackstone oil analysis. It's the way to see into your motor. I've sent 2 of my 3 of changes to them. The first at 1500 miles I just dumped. I added a Z1 magnetic drain plug after the 1st change too. Note: post tune, my % of fuel in my oil increased to the upper limit. (2%) So your Interval should be 4K-5K not 7K like many think they can do. Post tune, the shorter interval is a good idea. I'll make sure no short trips, and drain it after a 25 mile trip b4 the next change to see it that was the reason the fuel % was high.
At 13k miles my motor is still settling in. However my TBN # was very high (showing LOTS of additives left). A good thing. Doing a $28 oil analysis is cheap, giving the info they give you. They also personalize the comments you get! For anyone modifying your Q, this, IMHO, is a must do!
Run flats stink. I've reduced my unsprung weight by 78 lbs. Lighter rotors, rims, and 255-19's. That's a HUGE very noticable difference..
To bad HKS does not make the Hipermax IV GT coilovers for the AWD yet. It's my #1 choice. I'm waiting.... but the wheel weight helped a LOT. Less strain on your shocks. With my mods and in sport mode I'm getting more than 20 MPG combined.
Note; a vendor on the forum is making a Q56/60 2016+ catch can for our cars. It's a MUST have. "Scary" on the forum gets 40 ml of oil each 3K miles in his catch can
You really only need to run one can on the PVC side. The other caught zero, so he took it off.
Being direct injection we need one to prevent intake valve buildup. Eliminating the need to walnut blast our valves n heads... I go to MI once a year, granted the UP, but may swing by south to hook up. PM me on the forum. Maybe Boosted, U, n I can meet in New Haven some time? There are 2 tracks up here in NH we can use 😁
@johnlnnh do you recommend the car for daily driver and long trips
@@nawafal-rehaili5709
You look like dj akademiks
I’m dead
That's funny, I think he looks like the 3rd Uso brother.
Lmfaoooooo
😂😂😂😂
Just found ur channel super dope that you basically have a bunch of info on this car. I'm crazy about getting this car but so indecisive about what trim since I'm not a big tuning guy. Cant wait for your 5 things vid.
I couldn't agree more about those tires and the backup camera. I had a 2013 nissan Altima and this is the same camera. Had my Q60 for a little over a month and busted one of the tires in that same time frame.
i’m 19 yrs old and i’m thinking about selling my car i have n using the money to put towards a down payment for a q60. i’m jus looking for opinions on this
think its a great idea, im also 19 and I wanted an Audi or bmw at first but the reliability and aesthetic of this car is more bang for your buck. Especially if you get a red sport 400, you so much power
Maintenance friends maintenance
I'm thinking about getting out of a Lexus and trying something new like the Q60
Thanks for the great info. Since this is your daily driver, how do you decide what parts/upgrades to do to still make it a comfortable drive but also perform on the track as well?
Come down to K.C.!! And imo you killed it this year. Ive been watching for about 8 months or so now.
I went 15k between with mine. Mobil 1 synthetic, no issues at all, ever!!
I told my self im gonna get me a q60 red sport if possible if not regular 3.0t. 8 months to a year is my goal currently in a 370z
Did you get it
@@RetroBaby nope lol. 🥺
@@mrsantosjon why?
@@anthonyp8489 priorities
You are so right...I hate the Dunlop tires!!
My dad got rid of our q60 rs Dunlop tires after about 500 kilometres and got vredstein ultrac sessanta tires they are great tires
is this a reliable car? I’m looking to buy my first car, ( I’m 18 ), and I want something different that’s still affordable and I found a few Q60s for 25k with 40-50k miles on it. I’m just worried maintenance and parts are going to be expensive, would you recommend it?
its a luxury car so at first it will be cheap (low maintenance) but definitely after 100K miles (or 3-4 years old) cars start to breakdown so watch out for that.
@@lewdkingdomdoujinshi8801 got my mustang at 86k and it’s at 140k now, had no major maintenance costs besides the power steering breaking.
@@RetroBaby bro he said luxury cars
How’s your car doing? I get mine a year ago with 9k miles a 2018 Rs but Im having trouble with the rock and pinion 😣😣 thinking about to get a lexus instead whats your experience with yours, its reliable?
Agree on the camera issue!
Try the same size tire as the 370z 275/35/19 what's what I had and I loved it
The firestone Indy 500 are wonderful tires, running 255/35 275/35 on my g, they’re sticky and quiet but you do notice slightly less grip off the bat below about fifty degrees
For brake pads I’ve put Stoptech 309s on multiple g/zs. Haven’t had the best of luck with hawk pads on cars that weigh more than about 3000lbs
how much do you pay for insurance brother? i am looking to buy one, please help me out.
Is the red sport worth it ? Or is the 3.0 the better way to go ? And should I get it used for less than 15k miles for around 30-40$k since they depreciate so much ??
Regular 3.0t, about $400 for a tune to get you up to same hp number as the red sport 400
@@Nissanboiii That’s exactly what I want to do. 3.0 and tune up.
With the RS400, I think the insurance on it is higher. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@Nissanboiii wont that affect reliability/turbo life though? the turbos ive heard can go out within like 10-15k miles for some people even on stock already
Pretty sure the warped rotor are from stock pads infinti provides on the earlier models.
They changed them out in 2018 to a new performance pad that's a lot better.
But with that said it could simply be from heavy braking mid turn or not correctly bedding the brakes when you first got the car.
@@EnthusiastPOV Yup that would do it then, glad your car has been issue free thus far I'm looking forward to seeing your Q60 doing a couple track days. :)
Can you make an All Season Performance Tire recommendation for a Q50 RS AWD? Thanks.
3_ J_T
JohnInNH pilots would be the best bet. Just know they will wear out sooner than other tires. Those are some high performance tires and don’t last long
Quatrac5 . best allseason tires.
Did you lose your warranty after installing your Down Pipes?
It helps a lot if you take some b roll or feature some shots of details of the car man... I tried to watch two of your videos now and I’m skipping out on your content.
The verbal content is good. But as humans people need things to look at. Your video of why you should own the Q60 was you sitting in the car and talking the whole time. People who are trying to get some aesthetics of the car need some visuals. I mean it’s mass appealing. You’ll gain more volume on your vids. Just saying.
Is the car reliable .. keep hearing about transmission and Ecu issues
Hey man, I have the 3.7 q50 and I’m thinking of getting the 2017 q60 , what is the main difference that separates the red sport from the 300hp model, what makes the extra 100 horse ?
@@EnthusiastPOV Is your car AWD? Thinking about getting one.
Just the tune . Red sport has a more aggressive tune from the factory
Mainly, Tune + cooling system upgrade /inter-cooler to handle the extra heat
Basically wat u got is naturally aspirated and rs got twin turbos i think
Was there a mention on how much was spent on first year of ownership?
Like $90 maybe lol
That’s why im here 🤦🏻♂️
What performance brake pads would you recommend that will give you a confident stop during aggressive driving but are also quiet no squeal?
Usually any good ceramic pad will do the trick but hawk, stop tech will do nicely
Hey. How was the bags was the ride comfortable.
@@EnthusiastPOV ok. I was thinking about them. I live in NYC. These road are crazy. In route to picking up Q50 or Q60. I haven't really made up my mind. I use your channel as reference to which to buy. But I may go. With coil overs
Let’s try to get 10s in 2019!
Better tires and e85
@@EnthusiastPOV Ams has a high pressure e85 fuel pump available on their website.
u look like the guy in fast & furious bro
What year is that infiniti, and are the older model 2017 qx60 reliable ?
Get a 2019+
@@EnthusiastPOV thanks I like the qx60, I just needed to know if there good reliable subs. Thanks again
Have you change the transmission oil ?
Or it's recommended change the transmission oil ?
Absolutely that is a must, matter of fact I recommend a cooler as well
@@EnthusiastPOV indeed , I change my fluid every 40k or once every 3 years
@@EnthusiastPOV thanks very helpful your videos
Same brake calipers from g37
Lexus are way better
Cool.
Q50 Or Q60 which one you recommend .... 300hp or 400hp .. please help me
