The Q60 is too beautiful a car for Infiniti to have half assed any aspect of it. Hopefully they’ll resolve this with the Black S, if they build it, and trickle some of that tech and QC down to the lower versions.
I can see both sides of the coin. Both as an entry level luxury vehicles with some bits to it and as a sporty coupe with some creature comforts. And I’m okay with both. Looking at a ‘17 Q60 right now.
Alec that’s really all that matters. As long as the car looks good and it goes 0-60 in 3 sec max what else do I need? It’s beautiful and fast that’s it
Ayman Abd-al-Fadi you cant miss what you never had and ignorance is bliss. I considered getting an Q60 because it looks great and it’s fast. Was disappointed as soon as I sat in it. More so after I drove it. Quickly returned to Mercedes and bought the C43 the same day.
It should have came with power folding mirrors, active exhaust and cooled seats. When I purchased my car I was replacing my clk55 AMG that I had owned for 10 years. I thought the q60 was the best looking car in it's class so I cold live without a couple options. And one thing about a red red sport is nobody has them you could only get the red color on the red sport 400. So I love that it's a car that not a lot of people have. My wife owns a c43 AMG and the one thing she hate is that only people who know about cars know it's special. Others think it like a c300
@ Santiago Silva, I still have my ML500/purchased last August 2008 it’s now over 10yrs and still running well! Good service yearly maintenance with MB Dealership. I was going to trade in for a new one but decided not to., instead I just bought my wife last December 24th a 2018 340i M performance with premium package. She is sooo happy!
@golfmaniac, why not!? If you really love your wife Y not giving her something she deserve!? as long u made her happy! IF.,! that it’s something u can afford!?
I have a Q60 AWD also. My previous car I leased a 2016 GTI. I am an old-school Nissan/Datsun coupe guy, so I am very appreciative that Nissan/Infiniti still makes these cars! But, I would like to share my perspective on what you said: 1. 7AT. Yup, you described exactly what mine does. Overall though, it is a fine transmission, but the 5AT in my Titan is MUCH better and never does anything wrong. To keep #1 in perspective, I had a DSG in my GTI. Highly regarded as one of the best transmissions at any price, the DSG was excellent. But, mine needed to be replaced at 20k miles under warranty. To be fair, the 7AT doesn't seem like as much of a penalty as people say it is even though there was a time I was driving my 7AT and DSG back to back. Another slight complaint about the 7AT is that in gears 1 and 2 it likes to rev high even with light throttle input. This is where the DSG was way better. I can feel the torque converter in gears 1 and 2, but gear 3 and above feels more direct, like my previous DSG. 2. Yup, I also have AWD and find it to be a very good AWD system, and where I live I need AWD. WAYYY better than the stigma of owning a Subaru. 3. My GTI also had performance gauges similar to the Q60. In the GTI, the gauges were instant reading. But, for some insane reason, the engine power was in Kw only, no HP, and the boost reading was in some metric only display. I never used it. 4. My black leather is in perfect condition at 35k miles. And I wear heavy canvas Carhartt pants for my construction-based work, and my car is a DD. Those red seats do seem to wear prematurely. The creases/wrinkles you see are totally normal, but the rubbed off color isn't. 5. I have 4000K interior LEDs in my car, and we don't often use the rear seat, so no issues for us. There are very few alternatives for performance coupes with AWD. BMW, Lexus and Infiniti are the only manufacturers I know of that make these types of cars (RWD based available with AWD, no Audis!) BMW is a no-go for me unless it is a lease. Lexus is over-priced and they have their issues too. Infiniti is actually very reliable and usually available at a discount. And, they brought back the Twin Turbo. I can't think of a better car for someone who wants to own this type of car for an extended period of time. Only the BMW is subjectively comparable on performance, so if all you do is lease cars the BMW would be a good alternative. If you own past warranty, get the Infiniti or the Lexus.
Hey man, I plan on getting a q60rs 2017 with 75,000 miles, dude says he’s taken it to the dealership for all maintenance and oil change. Haven’t seen in person yet and he has said there is no issues. What should I look for, I am worried about some of the misfires I have heard but what else should I look for? Thanks so much if you ever comment back
The G coupes always had an identity crisis, it doesn't know if it wants to be a sports car, a luxury car, a daily driver or a grand tourer so it tries to do all of it
All the other automakers he named use ZF transmissions because their own designs suck. Infiniti insists on jatco transmissions because Nissan owns Jatco so it keeps all the profits from it, it would be real tough to convince them to offer ZF, maybe on some sort of one-off performance model.
I would agree with all except for the seats. I've had a G35, '14 Q60 and now '17 Q60 . I ,myself never had excess wearing or tearing of the leather. But maybe that's just me . IMO the tranny and LSD are holding it back from being top tier. But dont think Infiniti would do them. 1 ,cost. Second ,most people dont care about it.At least the people who get the non RS models. They just want it to look cool and most will never mod the car. On the positive side I think Infiniti has made a underrated engine that is strong and has tons of potential to go fast , cheaply .Plus the tranny is strong too. I have not seen anyone on forums blowing up engine or tranny. And In the modding world ,people are seeing the the car is a great car to Mod with. I think the VR30DDTT will go down as a classic in the modding scene.
I agree with everything you listed. Seems the last few years, Infiniti have done very little to upgrade any of the models aside from the front / rear bumpers. I drive a full size Infiniti and when my car went in for service, I was given a Q60 red sport as a loaner. We had been looking for a new car for my lovely misses and when she saw it, the search ended. She wanted a Q60 and nothing else, so we bought one and I dislike everything you listed ... plus the following.: No headroom. I am a 6'3" 220 pound rugby player with no belly and there is no way for me to get comfy - my head nearly hits the roof over substantial bumps. This car has a sticker of 58,720.00. It had literally every option available, BUT ....the interior quality is more along the lines of a car half that price. Cheap plastic buttons, low quality leather, and no folding mirrors? Even the latest Q70 still has the same interior from 2011. 8 years with no changes. In fact the latest model year has LESS options than mine! When I change out my car, I'm leaning toward a used Jag XJ-L. They cost more than a Q70-L but you get more in every way.
I barely just saw this but one of my biggest pet peeves with this car is how it didn't get the big nice old metal Q50 paddles, and also the trunk when you open it while it's raining has literally all the water fall inside your trunk.
Long I waited for the new Infiniti line. Been driving the beautiful coupes for a decade. Never suspected an important thing like STEERING would be compromised. The DAC system had me racing back to the dealership. The maintenance boss and I cried real tears together. “Get use to it like I did,” she said. I don’t trust highway driving with one hand anymore. Too unyielding. I can’t feel the road. The slightest curve or rough patch and I panic or over compensate. And don’t get me started with the RUN FLAT tires.
ATC is only off in "personal" mode FYI.. and Infiniti put an open diff in because they use "Brake torque vectoring" not ATC. ATC ONLY helps while cornering. Read the LSD thread on the "forum" tons of info there. Avedis53 is the forum expert. He is a rocket scientist. (Well sorta). I did put a Z1 LSD in my Red Sport. The Red Sport has lower gearing than a Silver Sport. Hold out for the AMS LSD! Its better than the Z1. But AMS only sells the diff and you have to have a shop install it unlike Z1 that will swap out the assembly. I agree the transmission is kinda sucky. A std would be amazing. Play in the snow and see the differences drive modes make! In Std mode TC is very aggressive and the rev limiter activates at low RPM cutting power along with brake torque vectoring. In sport+ you can still spin all 4 tires w/o the rev limiter activating till redline. Sweet! TC off not an issue. Now my testing was with a LSD. The .5G limit in the performance analyzer is joke! 1G or even more, would have been a lot better. Re leather: in my G37IPL the leather was a lot better as were the column mounted magnesium paddle shifters. They suck on the steering wheel and are mounted to low (at 8:30 and 3:30). I agree on your complaints and as usual good video. We gotta hook up some day along with Boost in motion.
just got the 19 60 RS. about a month of ownership so far. i agree with transmission part. feels like sometimes the power is at my feet sometimes i feel it lag.
I have the 2017 Q60 2.0t premium pack. I do have the under floor lights. I do agree with you on the over head lighting also about the brakes. I had to take it in because both screens were freezing up. They did a software update. Also I had a defective driver seat belt. Over all it's OK. But I definitely wouldn't purchase the sport package not worth it. Now they've discontinue the 2.0 now it's the 3.0t.
@ they really never said why.. But the 2.0 luxe and the 3.0 Sport 2017 models they aren't offering the features in the 2018/2019 models. Since they have the same engines I guess they're calling all of them 3.0 🤷🏾 if any of this makes sense. 🤣
The 2.0 engine came from suck benz if you kind of just driving and roaming around that’s fits for you BUT if you just looking for FUN and try your driving skills 3.0tt is the best.. if I’m so mean please I beg your pardon ahead hoping this would help..
I agree with all of this. The lack of LSD and the infotainment system really hurt this platform. At the end of the day though, I really like mine. It’s a great value proposition and the engine is stout.
Yeah, I agree with everything you brought up. Oddly enough, I haven't run into any one tire frier situations yet. I was a little put off by the leatherette my car came with, but have come to learn about the issues that come with the leather. My Q50 has the parchment leatherette (glorified vinyl) but is more durable and easy to keep clean. All white looks pretty slick too!
I have the 2018 q60 RS and it has the foot well lighting. It looks really good and i have never had issues seeing at night with my tint. I would recommend getting them or going aftermarket
I just got a 2019 Q50. When I'm older with more money I'll probably buy the newest Infiniti coupe that comes out. They are beautiful with a 2014 design I can't even imagine the future...
I love your Q60, I'm own a Q50 and there's several things I hate but one that my Audi & BMW has is a six disc player and a movie player, I test drove the Q60s but I have kids and a 4 door is what I needed.
Surprised how similar this is to the g35. The dome lights. The lumbar on the seats. The 5at on my car feels laggy at times as well. Would have expected them to improve on this
I had at Q50 sedan for my rental car while my G37 was in the shop and I can really tell they cheaped out on quality. The G37 had higher quality materials, backup cam, and the info screen was just 1 and simple, not 2. The buttons may look old school but the work on the G37! Anyways, I still like the look of the car and the only real thing you would buy this car is because it looks really good and has more horsepower than its rivals.
Ali Jiwani Same here. I had a 2011 G37 sedan Sport with a 6spd manual trans and loved it. Loved the sport seats but most of all loved the handling and the reliability. Unfortunately I was stupid to trade it in for a crappy Q50😒 man did i fuck up big time 😑.
What has stop me buying the Q60 in Australia is it comes with a sunroof and no option to not. I'm 6'2 and my head hits the roof :( Getting the Q50 next month. Driving my V36 Skyline coupe with sunroof now. Had to modify the seat to sit lower but my hair still touches the roof in the morning.
Thank you for talking about this!! I just bought a Q60 RS and I noticed the inconsistency in the car but I didn’t know what it was exactly. I thought the car had an issue (in a way it is annoying) I even made an appointment so can be look out! Crazy! Perhaps a tune can rewrite the shifting points??? Again thank you
7:12, After 3k miles on my 2018 Q50s, I complained to the dealership about a small smudge on my drivers seat booster, and they replaced the seat cover under warranty.
I like how the car looks from the outside but I’m not a huge fan of the interior, just feels kinda basic. Also not a fan of dual screen infotainment centers. Wish it just had like a tablet style screen
Recently was car shopping and the G37/Q60 was one of the 1st cars I looked at. Ultimately ended up getting a used Honda Accord Coupe. The seat leather was worn like yours so I had it replaced with Katzkin leather, which seems to be better quality. Also went with 20% tint b/c I didn't want it to be too dark from inside (dark interior although I have a dome light).
I had my doubts about reviews. So many I've searched through. You nailed it!! 2010 G37 coupe looking for that futuristic monster the new coupe seems to offer. You mentioned stuff no one else does. LSD or lack thereof crucial!! My 2004 350z was bare bones and so happy to let loose, dangerous! Skilled drivers only apply... lol. Thank you for being as detailed as I would be if I had the pleasure to own or lease one!
@@EnthusiastPOV ah ok. Ya, I have 2014 Q50S AWD, and foot well lights on the Q50 was a Premium Package inclusion, my car does not have the Time to do Pack but it does have the Deluxe Touring Pack, Premium Pack and Sport Pack.
I’ve had a 370z NISMO , and a Nissan GT-R all at the same time to get the best of both worlds , and I actually had fun in my 370z more so over The gtr even tho I loved my gtr it was fast great cornering , but those Dunlop tires sucked on that gtr than the Bridgestones on my 370z which I loved and I love that the 370z has the LSD. Now on to subject, I had a rwd rs q60 , hated the tires and no LSD the car lets loose with those cheap tires too much for me when I wanted to race so I got a Q50rs awd it’s cool I like it , but it needs more. Infiniti needs to step out the confort zone and make a top contender car that will have the Germans racing back to the design room. Good vid bro.
I grew up on Toyota & Lexus and moved to Infiniti a few years ago with my G37S. I love it to death and was considering upgrading to an FX50S (I hate the Q/QX names) but the gold intro Q60S caught my eye. I definitely have the same “gripes” as you considering I feel like my G has more options than the new coupe for a substantially lower price. The way the automotive industry is moving, we get so much less for so much more money and it’s infuriating thus your video is spot-on with my sentiments. I think I’ll still pull the trigger and go for the gold Q60S Red Sport with the cream interior soon though. It’s a gorgeous car albeit has its “faults.”
Man I'm telling you I just love infiniti to! I have a 2008 M45 Sport. 10yrs old 101,000 miles and honestly everything still works inside and out of the car and drives great!
Fred Williams Absolutely! I’ve topped 147 on the dash and put +/-30k miles on it annually and it still drives & accelerates relentlessly hence my upgrading soon to the Q60S - Nissan/Infiniti is such a slept-on brand.
Hey man, liked your review and I have a number of the exact same concerns. I’d recommend aftermarket footwell lighting for the front and back. INFINITI can sell you theirs, only a single color, white, but aftermarket you can get adjustable colors and relatively a decent price, but go with a higher end reliable vendor! See you on the streets, keep your gears low and your revs high!
I don’t know about the Q60 but I’ve had the 06 M35 and the 15 Q70 and Infiniti for some reason puts a blacked out covering over the lights in the footwell so the lights used to be very dim to the point where it looked like no lights were there. In both cars I removed the covering and the lights we’re brighter. Even replaced the bulbs and they were even brighter. And I agree about the infotainment system. I went from an 06 to a 15 and save for a few feature, the system overall were exactly the same. That’s a huge problem.
I agree with you Infiniti needs to step their game up. The exterior looks great I still get looks & compliments in my 2017 black Q60. Interior & technology features are pretty fast behind other cars, especially at this price point. The interior lighting is horrid. The storage areas are small. No Android Auto. Oh well it's been fun but tomorrow I'm doing a big change. My lease is up, the new one looks exactly like my 2017 & my elderly parents look bad getting in & out of this car lol. So I'm getting a four door Q50 isn't any different from this car. Tomorrow I'm getting a 2021 Kia Stinger. Tons of standard features Infiniti charges extra for or may not even offer, 368 HP compared to 300, my insurance will be cheaper & can't beat that warranty. Bye Infiniti!
Agree on the knobs!! 😂 or if they’re going to keep the two screens, then do away with the extra buttons at least on the driver side. HVAC etc. Bruh! My G35 seats wore out in the same place! Its been an issue for Nissan since 2003!
I appreciate this. I am actually looking around for one. I've decided to get a second had G37 if I can find one with miles lower than 45K. The G37 has more horsepower than the current Q60. Why would I buy a q60 red over 60K whilst I can buy a G37 with 330 horsepower ?
I love my car 2017 q 60 premium , but i do agreed with you. .I am a new owner, I bought a used 2017 q 60, I will modified some things in the future, , which tune do you recommend that I can take off and have no finger print in case of engine problems, My car still in extended infinity warranty I looking to gain at least 60 hp and 60 of torque. .please any advised would be greatly apricated.
Dude the run flat tires is an easy change if you don't like it. But I wish it had the DCT for the Red Sport model. I am waiting to pick up a use Red Sport model myself : )
Yup. Shittiest tires EVER I almost got in an accident during the rain because my tires couldn’t grip the road. I bought Michelin pss 1 months of owning the car!
Great review. In one of your previous videos you also mentioned this is your daily driver and you have driven it in Michigan...have you ever had any problems in the snow with it? I'm considering getting a used 2016 q60 AWD and eventually getting snow tires as I make the move to the Minneapolis area later this year. But those Minnesota winters make me kinda nervous to buy this car. Any input from your point of view?
I'd also like to add that i dislike that my 18 Q60 has a slight clunk when applying the brakes in reverse. Pretty annoying. Sounds like either a brake caliper slide or suspension related.
Nissan/Infiniti should of offer 6 spd manual trans on these next gen Q. They should of kept the name G. Honestly G37 still looks bit better than Q. That’s why sales are not too good with new Q platform
I agree with your points the q60 has so much potential and infiniti could have done better with those things and also with a better steering feel. I would personally rather spend a similar amount of $ on a Lexus RCF with low miles than a q60 sport or red sport
Hi, I feel the same as you. The Q60 and Q50 entertainment system is a piece of garbage. I also think if you purchase the unit with blind spot control system is the worst. If you need to change lane or to pass someone close it applies the brakes and you gas pedal is pushing your feet out of the pedal. All you comments are correct. Keep your postings.
The steering wheel suddenly out of control on highway(60-75mph). This is a common issue that both DAS and without DAS have this problem. Infiniti never recalled the problem. It felt like the steering wheel was suddenly struggling with itself. A more detailed description would be a sudden alignment issue or a sudden flat tire feeling. Both my own q60 premium awd and my friend's q60rs rwd have this problem.
There is I believe 3 different steering options. Das, electronic steering, hydraulic power steering. I made sure I got the hydraulic steering. Same rack from the g37.
I had issue with non das other day steering dip sometimes to left . Could not really do anything for customer had tell him alignment was off instead of true. The horror I deal with being infinti master tech at the dealership. I can't fix engineering flaws.
Shannon Pieczymski sucks to hear y’all having issues. That why I told Infiniti I don’t want any sensors, no lane departure, no collision warning, no das just hydraulic steering. Haven’t had any issues and I do 120mph frequently on my stretch of road. Also remember our cars have negative camber so you are likely to get bump/crack steer. I get a little wiggle when I switch lanes and there is a slight uneven crack or if the road is mega bumpy. My 04 G did the same thing both on pen suspension and coils.
I agree it is still the 7 speed but it is not the same model. If you research it has be upgraded I think starting 2016. Internal parts were updated. The trans part model number is not the same as the older units. It had to be to handle the extra HP and torque and is improved. Would love a double clutch however agreed. INFO, IMO I love the info layout but we all have different likes Thankfully it is updated it was a bit slow in my older model. Love my RS400 so much fun!
It's not so much the transmission as it is the TCM (S/W) that needs to be revised. The best opportunity may be with Ecutek, which is rumored to be working on a TCM flash for the Q50 & Q60 w/VR30DDTT.
Transmission and leather I agree with. My leather is in a similar condition. I have 30,000 miles though. Also, stock exhaust. It’s too quiet. I feel if someone is getting a luxury sports coupe that performs like this car. It should have some kind of stock note when you step on it. Bmw 440i m. Sounds pretty nice stock. Infiniti slacken.
The same thing happen to me with the seat i have a 2018 q60rs and the tires suck on this car cheap quality parts man would love to show my car and point out all the defects
Very good video my man. I had 2003 g35 couple for 8 years now have 2010 g37s for 4 years. Now waiting for redsport to depreciate enough so i can buy one, but its priced so high that it will take a while to get to 25-30k Canadian dollars. I agree with info system, and transmission , seat thing is i have the same thing with g37 . Interior lights i changed only the bulbs with white leds, it ll improve
@@evan8tor21 The ONLY way to buy a car man. Buying new is a suckers game for the dealerships and the banks. My M37x is a 2013 and only had 17k on it....AS GOOD AS NEW!
The transmission thing is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Your aren’t paying for the new transmission your paying for a 100hp increase! That transmission has been used in a 420hp V8 since 2011, it can handle 400 easy.
@@serega13 Fair enough but either way it can handle the 400hp easy and the price increase is for the engine not the transmission. Does he not understand that 400 is more than 300?
I just recently parted ways with a 2018 M3, that car hands down had one of the best transmissions . Where the car fell short, at least for me, it had no soul. Half of the time it felt like an Altima ( regular driving mode) .. I think the answer for the person looking for a sport car, should not get a sport luxury coupe or sedan.. sport car should be loud, uncomfortable after 3 hours of driving and tries to kill you once in a while.. I think it's time for a Viper or C7 z06
Bro if they fixed the infotainment system, added interior lighting that actually has color options, digital cluster this car could actually compete with bmw and Mercedes
I have a 2013 G37x and it has that active trace control although I’m not sure they called it that back in 2013. I haven’t had a problem with my rear pads wearing out too quickly but my service advisor at the dealer told me that it prob will need rear brakes before it needs fronts.
Do not take the trim lights (the add-on) from infiniti, the light is very dull. You should install LED lights and connect it via the usb port. You can answer this comment if you want the exact light on amazon and how to install it.
@@EnthusiastPOV even better! Stumbled upon your video while looking for modifications for a q60. However haven't had any luck with finding esthetic upgrades...
It’s a bad ass looking car. But I agree with you on a couple of things like the two screens. I’ve never had this car so I don’t know about the other things but I did have a 2011 FX and 09 G sedan which were great IMO. Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever had a “perfect” car.
The Q60 is too beautiful a car for Infiniti to have half assed any aspect of it. Hopefully they’ll resolve this with the Black S, if they build it, and trickle some of that tech and QC down to the lower versions.
q60 black s will have f1 tech so no need to worry about that :D
Yeah, that was exactly my thinking in 2017 when I leased mine. But sadly I don’t think it’s gonna happen....
I can see both sides of the coin. Both as an entry level luxury vehicles with some bits to it and as a sporty coupe with some creature comforts. And I’m okay with both. Looking at a ‘17 Q60 right now.
Lets be honest, your love for the exterior overlooked the interior.
Midwest Hoonigan my a4 has the footwell lights and I love it
My 2017 q50 premium comes with the leatherette seats and after 33k miles they still look new. No wrinkles, rips, or creases

How did the CLK survive 10 years. Tell us that!
giving a woman an AMG is waste of money

You totally nailed it with the transmission lol, think we all wished they gave us a DCT and an LSD
Midwest Hoonigan that’s so true..
It would certainly be worth getting the red sport with the tech package if it had a dual clutch transmission and dropped the steer by wire.
The G coupes always had an identity crisis, it doesn't know if it wants to be a sports car, a luxury car, a daily driver or a grand tourer so it tries to do all of it
Was considering....thx for help.
It's an incredibly beautiful car though. One of the most beautiful on the road right now.
Damn every car with 300hp+ should have lsd
I like your honesty i think i want to wait to buy the new 2019 Infiniti it looks badass
This video helped my understand the perks of production value in videos
Please keep us posted on the issue with the seats. I get my Q60 tomorrow! Can't wait.
The media journalists shit on the steering feel of this car a lot. Is it a problem?
@@motormusique I got mine without the DAS so steering for me is fine.
Currently i am driving a Prius,it's a 2008 model and i think it's quick for taking off. Do you think this car would be worth upgrading from Prius?
What do you think of the steering?
The performance gauge is silly. Considering the GTR pioneered this tech they should have been able to bring some of that over to the Q
This car still turns my head whenever I saw one on the street. Thought about buying it, but the interior just turned me down
You are right on with the transmission. Auto shift slips everytime, but sport mode is very responsive.
I have the 2018 q60 RS and it has the foot well lighting. It looks really good and i have never had issues seeing at night with my tint. I would recommend getting them or going aftermarket
Agreed! It needs power folding mirrors, active exhaust and cooled seats. Cannot believe they chose not to put them into this great package!
Footwell lighting I think is an a la crate option
Quality video. Thanks for keeping it real.
Surprised how similar this is to the g35. The dome lights. The lumbar on the seats. The 5at on my car feels laggy at times as well. Would have expected them to improve on this
Let's hope they do better with the project black s
I agree with your trace control comment! that is the worse technology to ever use on a car.
I agree on all counts, and id like to add that i wish they at least made ventilated/cooled seats an option. I would've gone for that.
Appreciate your honesty
Install Ambient light package bro. They stay on while you drive. It's not super bright. I'll get you part number in the morning.
do you know how much it is??
part number is T99F3-5CH0A
What has stop me buying the Q60 in Australia is it comes with a sunroof and no option to not.
I'm 6'2 and my head hits the roof :(
Getting the Q50 next month.
@TheHungry Gamer I'm good. Been catching plenty of real sports cars lacking at red lights and on the highway.
I believe the Premium package is what includes the footwell lights
@@EnthusiastPOV ah ok. Ya, I have 2014 Q50S AWD, and foot well lights on the Q50 was a Premium Package inclusion, my car does not have the Time to do Pack but it does have the Deluxe Touring Pack, Premium Pack and Sport Pack.
@@EnthusiastPOV ah, ok. Makes sense. And we have slightly different cars anyway, so...
Real guy right here
Yes you have reazon they have problem on both transmission manual or automatic they have recalls
My 2014 Q50 Premium AWD comes with footwell lights
If you dont drag your ass and back on the seat when you get in that doesnt happen. Learned that the hard way with my first g.
Forgot the Japanese part! 😢
Agree with all your points. Thanks for the post.
For that amount of gains just slap on a Jb4 boost controller and you’re good to go.
What about the tires does come with good tires and I’m not a fan for run flats tires, does it come with run flat and no spire tries!
My boy Luda, great review.
Awesome vid. Really trying to decided what trim best fits me and these vids are really helpful
@@EnthusiastPOV such a shame it doesnt come in a 6 speed mt
Yes I even have the same problem with the g37 seats I hates it.
I own a Q50S (Silver Sport) and my biggest beef is that proximity sensor, it doesn't even work half the time.
Agree with you plus the back up camera at night is useless.
Planning on getting one this summer. How's the e brake? Does it get in your way?
I'd also like to add that i dislike that my 18 Q60 has a slight clunk when applying the brakes in reverse. Pretty annoying. Sounds like either a brake caliper slide or suspension related.
Same with the brakes on my g35 when im in reverse. Its annoying
I had a 16 q50. And I was trash. They really cheaper out. 3 months in and I have it to my nephew. Never again.
keep up the good content brother
Thank you for making this video. It was very informative.
어떤 제조사도 신형엔진출시할때 변속기와 실내 모두 바꾸지않아요 일단 신형엔진이 어느정도안정화된후 미션과 페이스리프트되는게 정상이죠
I'm south korean. Q50S owner. Anycompany changes to a transmission when a new engine is louching.
Nissan/Infiniti should of offer 6 spd manual trans on these next gen Q. They should of kept the name G. Honestly G37 still looks bit better than Q. That’s why sales are not too good with new Q platform
tigerbiterhater I agree with the 6 speed manual transmission and the G name but the Q60’s is a beautiful car and a worthy successor to the G35 and G37
I agree with your points the q60 has so much potential and infiniti could have done better with those things and also with a better steering feel. I would personally rather spend a similar amount of $ on a Lexus RCF with low miles than a q60 sport or red sport
Rcf is slower and heavier then q60 the parts for Lexus are to exp. Stay wit q60
Hi,
I feel the same as you.
Are the seats pleather/leather?
still enjoying my 2016 Q60S Limited, not sure i'm ready to upgrade to this yet
I Love this car
My seat cover was replaced no questions asked and it's starting to happen again little by little. I wonder if it's just the red seats.
代玉宇 red sports come with das off the lot. And premiums have them if you have the sensory package or if you don’t tell them you don’t want the das.
That sounds fucken terrifying 😶
Aero Man
hopefully they fix this shit in the later years when i wanna buy a car
Transmission and leather I agree with. My leather is in a similar condition. I have 30,000 miles though. Also, stock exhaust. It’s too quiet. I feel if someone is getting a luxury sports coupe that performs like this car. It should have some kind of stock note when you step on it. Bmw 440i m. Sounds pretty nice stock. Infiniti slacken.
give us a damn manual transmission Nissan/Infiniti! I will buy one immediately
The same thing happen to me with the seat i have a 2018 q60rs and the tires suck on this car cheap quality parts man would love to show my car and point out all the defects
Thanks, Darius Rucker! Haha anyways this was entirely true! I’ve had these same complaints about mine and wanted to see if other had those issues too.
Value depreciation is what I hate the most.
PR M5 they’re great cars but they get pushed pretty hard
I agree but most cars are like that well except Lexus they retain their value really well.
I like depreciation....I own 2 Infiniti's, an FX45 and an M37x. Bought both used with extremely low miles and paid less than HALF what they were new.
Thad Joseph very clever. You let us take the hits and pick up the car used for a fraction of the msrp
@@evan8tor21 The ONLY way to buy a car man. Buying new is a suckers game for the dealerships and the banks. My M37x is a 2013 and only had 17k on it....AS GOOD AS NEW!
I really like the q60 but I hear Infiniti isn’t really reliable nowadays. With your experience would you say the car is reliable as a daily driver?
It has been for sure
The transmission thing is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Your aren’t paying for the new transmission your paying for a 100hp increase! That transmission has been used in a 420hp V8 since 2011, it can handle 400 easy.
Q50 and Q60 including red sport use JR710E, only V8 cars like M56/Q70 with V8 use JR711E
@@serega13 Fair enough but either way it can handle the 400hp easy and the price increase is for the engine not the transmission. Does he not understand that 400 is more than 300?
Does yours have heated mirrors? That pissed me off on my 3.7. How does a 45k not have it
I'm looking into buying this car and your channel is really helping me make my decision thank you
matthew wiggins so where we as of now on this? Are we still love to buy or nah.?
yikes i dont know about the leather seats currently my q60 has around 27k no wear and tear on the seats...
