I personally own a '16 V37 red sport awd, i wasn't a fan of this 7AT at first. However i installed a little auxillary cooler for the trans fluid, and it changed everything about the drivetrain when i throw it in MS and drive mode in Sport+. I also installed a throttle controller and the car launches extremely hard. I love my RS, i will add i definitely want more power, down the rabbit hole i go...again.....

Honestly, I think for the price, it's still well worth it. Currently looking for an awd q50 3.0 and I've found some 2018 models, with only 20-30k miles for around 20-26k and with a e85 tune, uggraded cooling, catch cans, and an exhaust, the car will push 450-500 whp with a cost total of 26-35k. This comment is not a deterrent. I am still a 2018 Q60 silver sport owner. This is my experience in the past year. Purchased used, due to a prior loss, with 28k from Infiniti dealer. I wanted a comfortable daily I could easily wrench on when I wanted. I planned to start doing the usual upgrades. At 36k (still stock) I started to occasionally hear a whistle at startup and or acceleration, but not consistent. Changed the drive belt in my garage but that didn’t help. Next culprit was turbos. Took it to Infiniti and sure enough both turbo seals were bad. Specifically noted Gen 1 turbos on service sheet. They replaced both turbos with the Gen 2 (based on part numbers), heat insulators, sensors, “turbocharger INL”, “Nissan long life”, gaskets, clamps, bolts and turbo oil, and EXM update due to newer turbos. This was all covered under warranty. This Q was a one prior owner, clean Carfax. No background on prior owner but very clean at purchase. Only a worn off A/C button, which I managed to fix without removing dash or infotainment system. (Super easy cheap OEM fix). It’s my daily driver in south Florida. Some spirited red lights, fun on-ramps and swift follow-the-leader trips across the alley, still have the same tires at purchase is what I’m saying. Long story not short my stock q60, driven as intended stock, did have turbo failure. I would personally get another daily before I mod this past cooling/intake/exhaust/simple tune. IMO if you want to drift, track or quarter mile only, it probably isn’t the car for you. If you want a fun entry level luxury daily or an affordable comfortable weekend GT type car this may suit your needs. Having the option to weekend wrench some high gain bolt ons and quick turnover back to road made my decision. I’ve also found a lot maintenance parts are the exact same as Nissan Z parts at half the price from Nissan.

My question is why modify at all? One of my gripes with this community of people are those who constantly whine about the cost of the cars and how much they won't spend to get one, BUT then these same people will spend thousands of dollars on modifications. It's already a beautiful car, but just my two cents.
