I love the idrive on my Hilux n70 td, i got injectors, remap, egr delete clean manifold and idrive, goes like a rocket 265,000kms on the engine . Took 10 minutes for an easy imstall. Awesome
I have just fitted this on my Isuzu KB259 Gen6 ans it works like a charm the throttle response has improved by 30% a must have for sure I’m so happy for the price it’s worth the money
Do you know if it's compatible with the LR 3 gas version? With the economy mode so you save lots?
Thanks for the video, maybe a long term review?
:-)
Hi, very informative, advanced, and complete information regarding the throttle controller, thank you, but I have a question I hope the admin or 4X4 Australia can answer regarding safety issues, My question is what if the throttle controller's device suddenly fails? or the little wire cut? Do we still have the control of gas pedal? or it will be back to normal mode? Thank you for hoping 4X4 Australia can enlighten us. thank you again!
I wanted to be really impressed by this.
Bought one of these for my series 6 l200, dashboard was lighting up like an xmas tree.
Yes you can feel it but its such a narrow torque band on a truck to me it wasn’t worth it. Just a slightly more sensitive throttle pedal..
Can you use the same unit for both the jk diesel and petrol?
Will this fit on 2010 d22
I got one for my 2008 sr hilux and it is incredibly impressive 👏
I fitted the idrive my dmax the throttle response has improved dramatically it’s not a performance unit for power but definitely improves throttle response which is good for me 💯
Hi can I used this throttle controller on my toyota fortuner 2016??
Would it work for a Ford Ranger 2010 PK manual ??
Can you get one for a 1999 holden rodeo 2.8l diesel
Hi will the unit turn off? Any chance of battery drain?
would be nice to see a graph. the signal coming from the pedal and then the signal going to the throttle body. the time difference to WOT when u jump on it from factory to U9 etc
i realize I am kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to watch newly released series online?
@Pierce Lennox lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
@Tanner Kristopher Definitely, I have been using flixzone for since march myself :)
@Tanner Kristopher thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!!
@Pierce Lennox happy to help xD
Hey I'm having trouble installing. My peddle is higher than most and is really hard to get to. It's almost near the steering column. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
customer service is great lol
Can use do a 2016 hilux vs ranger wildtrak tug of war
Can I ask what the other switch is next to where you mounted idrive next too?
A car i just bought has that exact same switch not sure what it's for.
nik farrugia Usually its used for your driving lights/fog lights etc
I just installed one on my 2016 Mazda BT50 and the difference it makes is unbelievable.
Would definitely recommend them!!!
Would this void the new car warranty ? Ive just bought a bt50. Could do a better response on from stop and go situation
@@ardyaprilianta9732 without being 100% sure, it probably would, considering how car manufacturers are with new cars.
But in saying that, I can't see how this would compromise anything and do any damage. All it's doing is sending a signal quicker than the standard setup.
It makes such a huge difference, it's unreal!!!
@@ardyaprilianta9732 if you fart in the drivers seat it will void the warranty. These days most manufacturers find any reason to avoid paying out.
hi could someone let me know if the idrive can be fitted to a non turbo 100 series 4.2L land cruiser engine, thanks
Will this fit a 2009 Nissan Navara?
Got one on mine
Which mode is best for fuel efficiency?
Hey mate did you ever find this out
@@raidenz2128 yeah I was told to just to turn it off, but I keep it on U2 for the efficiency and throttle response
@@Moey.187 if you don’t mind me asking what do you drive? And is u2 for your day to day commute
Does this void warranty on new vehicles?
No!
Yes it does
I have seenit first hand. No warranty when your motor blows
No, the iDRIVE does not automatically void the warranty on your new vehicle. It may impact your warranty if it has caused an issue you are seeking warranty on, but in that case we would cover any costs involved under our own liability insurance.
is it going to use more fuel ???
More economic
What about the U9 setting?
Hi Jailboy, they shouldn't technically use more fuel, however it really comes down to the driver. Most of our customers see no change in fuel use however 25-35% experience better economy by around 1L per 100. Certainly on the higher settings with a heavier right foot you can experience increased fuel usage. Cheers ,
Tim iDRIVE Australia
Hi mate with our product you definitely dont use more fuel, infact a lot less due to making your vehicle more fuel efficient. Have a look at www.hikeit.com.au
There is no such thing in a diesel as more power and more economical. Its one or the other
does this effect warranty
edor layk it’s on the car book some where saying any change to the car performance with a none factory component fit to the car would definitely void the warranty
Yes it voids warranty and they wont cover you for damage. I have seen it first hand and had to deal with angry new car owners who have had their engine blow or lights to come on. Wouldnot recoment

Nah just unplug it
the settings must be secret
what about new car warranty
I had for one year and I drive was good on throttle, but come with bad results after one year. Definitely feel more power better respond with cost of fuel, and by the end injectors gone cracked injection rings from to much fuel. Was told by Mechanick throw that idrive in bin and never install again.
Nothing better than program car by professional place to gain more power.
Interesting comment considering the idrive has nothing to do with fuel mapping or injectors 😆😅🤣🤣
I wonder why car manufactures don't put it in cars in the factory? is it too expensive to do?
Does work
Don't work
WTF ! iDrive is a cloud company here in US.
This controller is marked up 200% in Australia. Can buy direct from China for $100.
Yeah I just looked on the windbooster website you can buy these for 70 USD with shipping, obviously all made in china
Just buy from a reseller in a different country, or get one Australian made, rev hi do an aussie made one
Rodney, Where ?? I'm looking for one. can you give a link please.
no this is german technology not Chinese.
@@denniss4780 yeah but it's made in China
i have not seen a worse video
It doesn't do anything that your foot can't do, if you know what you're doing behind the wheel.
Gimmick - all it does is controls the speed of the butterfly opening and pedal to butterfly turn ratio .
And? That's what it's supposed to do?
Interesting; I was wondering what they actually do. Thanks.
It pinchea signals to the throttle. Eventually it will go into limp mode
First lets look at the mechanics of your throttle system.
When you hit your accelerator pedal it sends a torque request through to the throttle tables in your ECU and that will determine your throttle response and result in acceleration. The torque request is dictated by your factory set throttle parameters and can not be manipulated through physical input i.e using your foot to alter your cars throttle response.
The iDRIVE provides new points of reference for your vehicles throttle mapping and overrides your factory throttle parameters, this allow you to either speed up the actuation of your throttle or slow down the actuation of your throttle. So you are opening the throttle outside of the range allowed by your factory pedal parameters.
By sharpening your vehicles throttle response and introducing a more aggressive throttle curve you can greatly reduce and often completely eliminate throttle lag, improve overall vehicle drivability and make a noticeable improvement to the vehicles acceleration.
By dampening the vehicles throttle response past the factory levels, you can gain more control over the vehicles traction through more controlled application of power to your wheels; this can be especially handy in low speed situations such as reversing a caravan into a narrow area or driving through slippery terrain.
Rebranded Chinese product at 3x the price, as usual for so many 'Australian' products
Not rebranded at all, our manufacturing is based in Shenzhen China, but the iDRIVE is owned, engineered and distributed by iDRIVE.
Don’t work
Dose work
No one needs this. God gave us a built on throttle controller... it's called a foot.
