    Not only was Darrell Green fast, you'll note that many of these highlights really had nothing to do with speed, he was just a great football player.

    I know the Riggins TD to win Superbowl 17 is the most iconic play in franchise history, but for me Green’s punt return against the Bears is my all-time favorite. Legendary.

      That tackle is the second greatest tackle behind the Larry Allen tackle,,,third is the Green/Dorestt tackle: so he gets two of out three in my book

    What a great player Darrell Green was. Totally underrated

  • @reddawn3345
    @reddawn3345 Месяц назад

    What made him so special was that he was consistent his whole career, always one of the fastest but also one of the best football players to ever play. He had speed but also intelligence to read quarterbacks and also perfect pursuit angles. The 80's and 90's had some great legendary football players. Those decades had the best NFL commentators as well. Now they are very generic just like ESPN.

    Darrell green career as db has always been crazy to me not only for him having a interception in a season for almost 2 decades but his ability to keep his athleticism for all those years most dbs are washed like rbs by their late 20s but even being old as hell Darrell green was still able to run guys down

    I was not a fan of either team…but I would love to watch one more Thanksgiving game of Dallas vs the Redskins.
    It was like tradition.
    Detroit vs the Bear in the early game and Dallas / Wash in the late one.
    Those were the days

    Met him in Canton at a breakfast joint, he ordered so much food he offered me a pancake, so I can tell myself I had breakfast with a hall of famer. Also asked him if he was still on tootsie rolls, he said no, oh well.

    Its actually crazy how they said in 1991 being in the NFL for 10 yrs time will catch up with him and they test him, yet he played another whole 10 years when other star corners get washed
