Fun fact: Brandon Marshall never played in a playoff game. But still a HOFer imo. 1000 yard WR basically every year from 2007-2015
The best Quarterbacks he played with are Jay Cutler and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Maybe Tannehill. Imagine if he played with a great quarterback like Brees or at least a very good QB like Romo.
He 100% played in a playoff game with the Bears.
No playoffs they played the packers last game of the season and it had playoff feel to it. He made that unbelievable td catch. 😳 😅
Context matters and one thing fans can’t overlook is who his QBs were when putting up those monster numbers. He should get in the Hall of Fame
@@dewaynesmith5662did not unfortunately
Still Holds the single game NFL receptions record: 21 catches (for 200 yards!)
Oh yeah that's right I forgot about that
Future hall of famer for sure, it was fun to watch him and Andre Johnson back in the day.
Exactly!! Him & Dre were always my favorites.
That’s my guy but he has to wait awhile
@@justinadams-turner5238Same feeling
Thank you so much. Growing up this dude was my favorite WR outside of Reggie Wayne. Absolute dawg.
I think his off-the-field issue overshadows his on the field talent. He was good for 100 catches and 1400yrds a season in his prime.
Maybe the most balanced receiver ever, he did everything good or great jump ball, routes, hands, speed (early on) juke moves, he could beat press with finesse or power, super physical could block, smart he sat in zones , toe tap everything
Brandon Marshall honestly gets overlooked and honestly he’s a HOFer in my eyes. You can talk about all the mental outbursts and so called controversial we’re all human can’t deny the production he brought.
Brandon Marshall is so underrated that new fans to the game of football as a whole know this guy's name and know that he is good.
Ngl, I think we're getting to a point in time where new fans don't know Brandon Marshall lol. Unless you already somewhat followed football in the 2010s then there's a good chance you haven't heard his name
not me
@@johnporkthe3rd51you’re a casual
@@ArenaPhoenix i mean unless your a journalist or work for a nfl team, aren’t we all? 🤦♂️ 😂😂
extremely underrated. Late 2000’s and early 2010’s was a golden age for dominant wrs
He was like a fast tight end. He used to bully DB's
Nbs this dude was elusive too 6'4
Brandon Marshall is another one of those players who you loved to watch, regardless of which team you root for.
I watched every Bears game Brandon Marshall ever played. The guy was an absolute BEAST!! Those 50% balls were more like 90%. Max effort on every play! He and Jay Cutler were special together.
Him having "only" 83 TDs goes to show you how hard it is to hit the 100 TD milestone.
This more towards inconsistent QB play he had to deal with. His best QB he had was Ryan Fitzpatrick
@@jump6098 What? Jay Cutler was better than Fitzpatrick
I agree he wasn't the luckiest there but Jay Cutler ain't that bad
@@MHNK77 Cutler was trash
@@jump6098 Casual
@@MHNK77cutler had a lot of untapped potential
1000+ yard seasons for four different squads and you could make the case his best QB was either Jay Cutler or Ryan Fitzpatrick. One of the most underrated and respected receivers in the game, B Marsh!
He & antonio brown is the only 2 WR's to have 100 receptions in 6 different seasons
He was aj brown before Aj brown
Suggestions for future NFL Legend Throwback videos:
Marshall Faulk
Bruce Smith
Kevin Greene
Warren Moon
Not bad if you ask me.
Brandon Marshall was the best receiver in the league for 6yrs in a row honestly
So Calvin Johnson didn’t exist?
@@CheChevbcg1254 people say anything on the internet
@@CheChevbcg1254 He just wasn't that guy my dude.
@@josegarcia9650ain’t no way u just said megatron wasn’t that guy! that may be the worst take i’ve ever heard
Marshall was able to put up great numbers without ever having worthy QB
Brandon Marshall was the best wideout during his time in the league. He holds the record for most catches in a single-season game with 21 receptions. He and Jay Cutler played together with the Broncos and Bears, so they didn’t get along with each other at all.
Man he was so good, always liked seeing him play just not against my chargers 😂😂. Them damn Broncos
It also sucks that every team he played for was just flat out not good.
@@LiamDeege tell me about it. Dude was unlucky
@@kevinuchiha6830 More like the teams he player for were unlucky. Hello, 2013 Bears?
@LiamDeege 2013 bears were mid , lol. I miss Forte and Marshall together 😭 and they had Alshon and frickin Bennett, I think. Bears 😂😂
@@kevinuchiha6830 Well they were unlucky in the sense that they couldn't close the deal to winning the North if you know what I mean.
Marques Colston Next please
Dont get it twisted
Dude was underappreciated and underrated in his time
Made Jay Cutler look competent on two separate teams
One of the coldest players in the league and a nightmare for defenders
He was a preview of the future of receiving, a bit ahead of his time tbh
Early on he was SO good after the catch.
A 1000 yard receiver with FOUR different teams
Has the NFL record for most catches in a games.
3:27 best play I’ve ever seen by a receiver
Those were great times with him & Cutler 😢
Dude is a monster , could dominate on any team
Great man! Much love BM!
Whenever Brandon Marshall's contract was expiring, I was hoping Belichick would sign him, but that never even came close to happening!!! Which is sad, he's what a HC wants, team player, great teammate, willing blocker, great hands, deceiving speed and maneuverability (cuts/jukes), strong!!! Brady to Marshall would have been deadly!!!
He was going to get his NFL Throwback highlight mix in due time 🤣🤣🙏🏾
Life was good when Brandon Marshall was a Bronco..I remember one game he had like 17 catches on cromartie.
Broncos country I know I’m not the only one
Who imagines what could’ve been, if he stayed with Denver his whole career
Especially if we got DT still back in 2010
Him and Cutler both. Joe ellis really fucked us and we’re still paying for it
Denver still had a very good receiving corps in the years they had Peyton Manning, and Marshall would’ve been a good addition to it.
@@shawnthomasbrown3867 meh Jay Cutler was mid. And B Marshall was just a man among boys and it’s whatever. Can’t do nothing, just the business side of the league
@@fortynights1513 I’m just hoping with Bo Nix we finally stop being so mediocre
@@Aloharayray808I would start someone else initially, and possibly let Nix take over as the season progresses
One of my all time favorite Broncos, much love, B Marsh.
My favorite WR growing up as a Bears fan in the Cutler, Forte, Hester, Jeffery, Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman era.
It didn’t show his best catch of his rookie season Against the Steelers, but it called back
NFL started hiding dropped passes statistic just for this guy. Imagine being a WR that is known for not catching. He's underrated for a reason XD
Pro football reference lists drops from 2018 on; he had three in his final season. I don’t know about before then.
@@fortynights1513 He had 23 targets his final season. So almost 8% of passes to him dropped as a veteran with developed skills. If they still showed it, it would NOT look good for him. I don't mind the guy as a person, just don't think he's a good pass catcher.
@@NotaThing13 you don’t get six straight seasons with 1000 yards and more by mistake so clearly he was good enough
@@christian-lf2oc good enough for what? to let you down when he drops a pass? haha
8:25 43 now huh’ is such a jay cutler ass response 😂😂😂
Putting Reebok cleats under some AF1's is WILD CRAZY😭😭
In my opinion Brandon and Jay brought the best out in each other, they both should have never left Denver.
Should be a hall of famer. Very similar numbers to Andre Johnson. But I think voters look down on his off the field issues. Hope he eventually gets in. Certainly deserved it 🐻⬇️
He should have won a title with Da Bears. Excellent Receiver!
Brandon Marshall was an absolute BEAST in the NFL with Broncos Dolphins and Bears no doubt about it he really was something special player special athlete to watch it's a shame that he never played in the Super Bowl for the 1st time in his career I can understand that I believe he deserves at least one or two Rings cause if that's the case he would be a excellent choice for the Hall Of Fame however he did set and still holds the NFL Record 21 catches in one single game vs Colts while he was a Denver Broncos at 1st so put RESPECT on his name 0:18
Please do Michael Irvin next
One of just four players to get 1,500 yards and a ring in the same season
The man never played with a great QB until Eli, but that was on a terrible team and is still a HOF respect to B. Marshall
as a jets fan i appreciate you for that 2015 season dawg!!
BEAST Marshall deserves to he in the HOF a looot more then Calvin Johnson.
Never had 10% of the hype Calvin did but always played better then him and produced more then him. BMarsh is 110% HOF worthy!
nice to see Giants legend Brandon Marshall getting recognition
Thank god for this vid
Grown ass man (46 years old) and he was one of my favorite players
B Marshall’s number 15 is now Rome Odunze, hopefully Rome can cook as much as Marshall did. So glad I grew up watching B Marshall.
Definitely underrated
Brandon the beast Marshall.
His highlights look like those old 50s and 60s black and white plays where the player just breaks 10 tackles and runs up the sideline for a td
Nice Video 📸 NFL Throwback
If you ask any Bronco fan, they aren’t picking Marshal over Rod Smith or DT and neither of those guys were 1st ballot HOF
Dude was super underrated
I some times wonder if there needs to be more contact and tackle drill seeing how so many tackles are missed, even considering these high light reels are exceptions. Tackles seems to be missing to many of them.
B marsh true definition of grit.
Soooo underrated.
13:46 you see why these guys are professional look at Casey running that fast at 300 lbs 😂
One of my favorite WRs during that time. Wished he played for us in San Fran alongside Michael Bumtree, I mean Crabtree, Anquan Boldin, and Vernon Davis. Just wishful thinking just because of the catch radius and YAC probability that Brandon Marshall has... Damn.
Crabtree was a decent player- Seahawks fan
Contested catch king
He was so good that's why no one wanted to see him in the playoffs lol
He was an amazing player, it sucks he never went to the playoffs since every team he played for either cut him before they made it that year, or they were just a horrible team overall.
Can we get junior seau next pls
Denver cut him because of his attitude. Imagine if he kept that in check, he could have had a lot of fun with Tebow and Manning
15:50 that d linemen was moving tho holy shit
He was killing Antonio cromartie who was a very good corner
Voice Over: against the Cowboys Marshall goes up with a guy all over him
Marshall: I didn't even jump alittle bit
This man is a HOFer. I just don't get why more people don't say it.
Hall-of-Pretty-Dang-Good
@@rustyshackleford1114 context matters. He played 3 less years than Isaac Bruce with nowhere near the offense or qbs and has the same amount of 1000 yrd seasons and would easily surpass his numbers had he played 3 more years. There's a real argument to be had that of all of the great wrs he had the worst group of qbs throwing to him.
@@jahprime6932 By that rationale, Jerry Rice is overrated because he had Joe Montana, Steve Young, Steve Bono, Jeff Garcia, and Rich Gannon throwing to him.
@rustyshackleford1114 not really . Rice had better qbs, but you can see on film his technique hands route running, etc. was goat status. But it greatly helps when you have qbs that throw accurately and on time. Marshall didn't have that, yet his numbers are very close to Bruce's. Imo Marshall was overshadowed by Moss, Owen's, Fitz, Megatron, etc, and guys playing in great offenses with great qbs. Had he played with Rodgers, he would be considered an all-time great.
Denver really messed up firing shanahan and letting marshall and cutler go. With shanahan as coach and those two players, that could have been special
Surprised Florida of Florida st never recruited him but had worse luck getting into the playoffs than me with quality friends lol
If im correct i think he & antonio brown are only 2 wr's to have 6 or more seasons with 100 receptions. Name another WR who put up those type of numbers without playing with a top notch qb?
Marshall spent his time in the NFL criticizing Tom Brady😂
Definitely a hofer idc what anyone says he produced wherever he was and whoever threw him the ball
If only he had a real qb in his nfl career
Let's not forget that's right before the NFL has turned soft💪🏾
Defense was tougher then🙌🏾
Porn bots be wild on RUclips 😅. He should be in the HOF one day
BRANDON MARSHALL WAS LIKE TERRELL OWENS-LITE IN HIS PRIME ..
I was so sad when McDaniels traded him. It seemed like McDaniel was sent to dismantle that talented bronco team
Hot take: Marshall had a better 2012 than Calvin Johnson did.
Why?
Baby TO
If he had better qbs his numbers would’ve been crazy, I don’t think he’s Hof though
Just get the ball near him, he’d catch it. Did not matter if he was “covered.” Football Player.
_”Brandon Marshall, Amazing talent on the field, Terrible person off the field.”_
I wouldn't say terrible, just suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. Coupled with repeated hits to the head, that's a recipe for disaster. He has done a lot for awareness, and for that I commend him. He got fined for wearing Green cleats in support of mental health, now they openly let you wear cleats for a cause lol.
As a life-long UCF fan, it pains me to say this, but Brandon Marshall is probably bound for the Hall-of-Pretty-Dang-Good but will most likely never get into the Pro Football HOF. If Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, Henry Ellard, and Irving Fryer are still on the outside-looking-in, then Marshall won't get in, either.
Dude played corner for most of his college career...
Psalms 145:3
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
HOW DID HE BOT HAVE MORE PRO BOWLS
HOFer no question
Shame he never got to play in a single playoff game
Not a Hofer because a Hofer is a 1 of 1 he was never that Big difference maker he was just the best player on bad teams imo 🤷🏾♂️but was a solid ass receiver in his day
Why did Denver ever let him go? Someone needs a paycut.
Think Deebo Samuel, Aj Brown and Cooper Kupp merged into one Guy
Keep it perfectly HONest 😂😂
Deebo Samuel reminds of this guy
"Legend," absolutely not.
As far as the "HOF," B. Marshall numbers are mid & falling at a drastic rate due to the game rules & regulations continuously evolving around the offense. The NFL "HOF" process has to be the most problematic process of all sports. By the time they consider B. Marshall these young buck's numbers are going to blow Marshall numbers out of the water!
IMO, B. Marshall isn't the problem, the "HOF" process is.
Proverbs 25:5
Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
Man was the first Goliath at WR in the early 2000's
lolol one of the few guys ive ever seen make ray lewis look bad
Austin Rivers wins the argument
I don't see Marshall being a HOFer with only 1 All Pro. He was great, but he's not a HOFer
Two if we include his 2015 second team selection, but point taken.
He may not belong in Canton, but the fact that he never made the playoffs isn’t really on him being a receiver.
@fortynights1513 I don't think his playoff number has anything to do with him either. But his numbers and accomplishments don't cut it for me either
@@delwinalvarez8086I see what you mean given all time rankings.
Through his 2018 retirement Marshall ranked 22nd in receiving yards, 16th in receptions, and 15th in receiving touchdowns.
I see why you could say he’s a tier below Hall of Fame.
Terrell Owen 2.0
NFL using that “legend “ word to loosely. Also it seems like anybody can get into their hall of fame
