Dungy was calling for pass interference for some reason. McFadden had his eye on the ball from the time it left Manning's hand until he knocked it out of Wayne's hands. Obviously he wanted a free call.
@@AllTheBaconAndEggs my guess is that Wayne runs under it faster if he doesn’t pump fake. By pump faking he gave McFadden more time to catch up with him

I'm 100% sure they had to go into Denver and beat the Broncos before they went to the Super Bowl.....................not to diminish the PBU by Bryant McFadden.
I am a huge Steeler fan going on 52 years. I live in Colorado and I remember the guys at the shop walking in after that Sunday chanting “We’re going to the Superbowl Broncos all the way”. After they beat the Patriots. I said, did you not see what we did to the Colts? They laughed it off but none of ‘em had the balls 🏈🏈 to bet.
@@100hookerThat first drive from Pittsburgh set the tone for the game. It was going to be a very long day for Denver. I remember Troy Polamalu going through two Denver blockers to make an incredible tackle. It was over after that. Bettis was retiring a champion, and nobody was going to deny him that ring! The classic storybook ending of all endings. lol! No doubt, you saw the Immaculate reception as I did. Strange, I started watching football when the Colts beat the Cowboys. Then the Steelers started to draft all those HOF players, and I was hooked. Plus, it did not hurt that both my parents were born in, or outside Pittsburgh!
For sure, he did just enough as Wayne still almost grabbed it. This was the real Super Bowl that year as I believe that the Colts would also hammer the Broncos and easily outlast the Seahawks.
Dungy saying PI when ball was under thrown, actually unbelievable Petunia didn't get the call. Those years tom baby and petunia had rules for them and 99% of the time got the call. HOF in Ben taking a beating and still provided 2 SB, petunia got his second one handed to him by Vegas when he was with the broncos
I haven't watched a game in 4 or 5 years so maybe you're right, but that was perfect coverage. Contact is allowed if the DB has his eyes on the ball. McFadden had his eyes on the ball the entire time.
They definitely didn't go to the Super Bowl after this game. You gotta get your video description right. It's the least you can do. Give a fuck or delete it.
one of the most under appreciated plays in Steelers history
Same man.....
Miss that '05 defense.
They were *THE TRUTH!!!*
Agreed
Truth. I almost crapped my pants when that ball was in the air,
As a Colts fan, Steelers absolutely deserved to win that game. To be honest, the game wasn't even as close as the 21-18 score made it seem
I always thought this was the absolute key in that win! Everyone talks about the missed kick, but a rookie saved the day!
That play sent them to the AFC Championship Game, not the Super Bowl, but they did eventually get there and win it.
Yep, they had to go on the road and beat Denver another great game
BMac will always be one of my favorite Noles/Steelers.

Bruhhh I was just thinking that. Literally had his eye on the ball the whole time, not once did he hold or grab the receiver 🤣
And he used to be a Steeler.
I think because he hit him before the ball got there
RIP Tunch Ilken. Former Steeler turned announcer.
Ahhh! The good, old days! What a play!
B Mac was making plays like this all season, as a ROokie!
I was in that end zone! Most memorable game I ever went to.
Man I remember that. What a play! Wayne makes that catch 99% of the time so that was huge!
If Manning doesn’t pump fake, Wayne catches that ball easier
@@dogpd3 Why? McFadden had him every step of the way.

Rothlesburger's shoestring tackle is what won the game for us.
No single one thing won the game for us.
Yes, it was Ben's play that saved the game.
No, it was Nick Harper's girlfriend
We didnt get to the super bowl after this. We still had to play the broncos
Bmac had da city on his shoulders right there!!💯💪🏾
Now him and his cousin Pat P have the All Things Covered podcast

B Mac was always so damn underrated because Ike Taylor and Deshea Townsend were both cemented guys. Dude was lock down.
God bless you ❤
Where can you watch this with the radio audio?
If Ben dont make the tackle off the fumble this dont have a chance to happen......having said all that.....that was a great play
Incredible
This was only the divisional round......this sent them to Denver
I was out of the country that year and I really thought Denver would go to superbowl that year, man was I wrong!

Sorry to say, but it looks like Peyton underthrew that pass❤❤❤
@sterlingfury, yes, don’t be sorry, pretty typical of Manning going back to his UT days.
Peyton was second best so many times.
The fact that Wayne even had a shot at that ball after it was tipped that hard is crazy
Actually it was because of the missed FG.
Im a steeler fan and I say bad throw from Manning ball thrown inside and Mcfadden had the inside position ball should had been thrown outside .
god-tier play

Manning throws that one yard further and it’s a touchdown. Put that one on Peyton.
That’s playoff Manning
BMAC !!
Under thrown by Manning. Easy breakup.
Look at stupid Tony Dungy screaming pass interference.
That’s 100% PI in todays NFL depending which team would win or lose.
He played the ball before Wayne and had perfect coverage. Not a chance in hell is that PI
