Once again your footage and story telling is top notch! I really enjoy your videos. In my opinion they are the best videos out there about hiking in the Eastern US, which is not a very easy subject for hiking videos as you don't necessarily get many easy "eye candy" shots. Love your content very much. As always keep hiking and posting!
Interesting channel name. What's behind the title Whistle Pig? Just curious.Your channel was mentioned on another channel in a positive light, so here I am. So well done as well as entertaining narrative. Hope u make it to a million subs.
I'm so glad you found me. Thanks for checking it out. Whistlepig is another name for a marmot, a high altitude critter that I've always loved. Plus one of the guys that hikes in my group is chubby. He sort of reminds me of a marmot. But don't tell him I said so.
You can, but I wouldn't recommend going up hill through the rhododendron since there's no trail through that part. Instead, consider a shuttle hike where a car drops you off at the Black Rock Trail or higher up at the upper parking lot and do the Grandfather Trail.
Well done video! Great section hike

Great video and hike! I assume you could do this in the opposite direction? Would rather climb up the ladders than down them?
