I've done grandfather from both the profile trail and the daniel boone fork parking trailhead along the BRP and thought the latter was much harder. Woody Ridge trail was spot on and I would actually put the Colbert Ridge trail above a number of these choices.
You are welcome. Although it was a daunting task putting this together. I’m not sure why we were so fascinated with those steep climbs, too. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I did PinchIn to Daffodil Flats (instead of the Pinnacle route you took) … I totally agree that it’s CRAZY If you are ever in NH … if you want to find steep do the Flume Slide Trail up Mt Flume; it’s another level of crazy too
We hiked Franconia Ridge to Mt Lafayette last time in NH. For some reason, we are always up for a crazy hike. Thanks for the suggestion! We will put Flume Slide Trail on our list.
Another super steep trail (maybe #6?) is the Green Mountain trail in the Middle Prong wilderness - 5 miles straight UP with no switchbacks total elevation gain 3,864 ft!
The Chimneys is such a cool place. Table Rock gets all the attention but The Chimneys is SO fun to explore.
Green River falls trail is tough too. Great hike in October to see kayaking race

Woody Ridge is one of our favorite all time hikes!
Doing Mt. Mitchell a few times prepared me for my first high altitude hike in Guatemala.
Thank you so much for doing this video, I am so fascinated with the steepest mountains in the state.

Cabin Trail in Linville is also pretty steep.
IDK if you have visited Montreat but the Lookout/Graybeard Trail is pretty straight up...
I like your editing style
